This will be really useful to so many people.
Migraine is in my family down the female side, for the last 7 or 8 years mine have been infrequent and workable. I take sumatriptan at first signs, go through the horrible aura visual disturbance phase then can usually function albeit a little tired. Had my first in over 1 year recently, took the medication and cleared up within 1 hour.
wow Im not the only one then?!! my mother and her mother. both had auras. my body just translates everything to nausea and fatigue. i never had a headache in my life until i was about 35. now it's monthly- theyre hormonal, associated purely with the start or end of my period

Ugh I have a migraine today, it sucks and not only that I went to the dermatologist on Thursday and they used liquid nitrogen on my skin tags to take them off, except it doesn't work immediatly, the skin tags will fall off within 2 weeks, now they are painful and red and I feel like a leper. I have to find a way to hide them while wearing more clothes than usual on cam and I just don't feel comfy. It sucks because its bonus week on SM and I don't know how I'm going to get through this, feeling self concious about the red spots on my skin and its probably reflecting my performance becuase I'm barely getting any shows. Ugh.

Can't believe I only just found this thread! I felt so alone for the longest time. I don't cam as much as most models do due to depression, anxiety and extreme fatigue that's associated with it. I often felt so alone because sometimes cam is slow, and I log off because the anxiety is too high, and I just want to cry. And sometimes I'm just so tired that I can only last for an hour or hour and a half on cam. My earnings have varied anywhere from $5 to $170 per session. High end is usually themed shows like for Valentine's day or Cammiversary. I typically try to cam 3 - 4 days a week, 1 to 3 hours each time, depending on my energy levels. When it's slow, it's really slow and feels super discouraging.
I have limited energy due to my mental health struggles and beat myself up a lot when it's slow and quiet. Sometimes it feels like the only way to success is more hours which is out of reach for me, and I feel like such a white crow among other cam models. And I often compare myself with other cam models who manage to earn at least $200 each session and feel bad. And when people close to me ask how much I earn, I'm embarrassed to say a lot of the time because it's a sad number. :(

I feel you. *hugs*. I just want to make $50 a shift, heck I'd be happy with $30 every time I log in and I barely make a $1. But I keep trying cause I have nothing else I can do. I cant work outside the home and I need the flexibility due to my health. But I'm depressed, exhausted from chronic fatigue, in pain or dealing with a migraine cause I decided to take the trash out. I cry daily. I pull my eyebrows out and rip at my lips. Which doesnt help me feeling confident on cam but I cant change these ocd anxiety ridden ticks.

Trying to work through this migraine is killing me. All cause I worked for 3.5 hours straight last night. My body hates me. I hate this. I hate being chronically ill and dealing with fibro.

Have you been able to try any of the newer meds? I was on Emgality for awhile and it was amazing, but unfortunately after a year it quit working. I'm now on Nurtec (I take a dose every other day for a preventative) and it's been life-changing. It's too expensive to afford on my own but they have a manufacturer's program if you go to nurtec.com that works if you have insurance to get it cheap or free.
I still get migraines but mine went from several times a week to around once a month, and when I do get one it's much milder. I usually only miss one day of work instead of 3 days to a week when I get one.

I had a migraine pop up on Monday that lasted until yesterday.
I'm guessing it was due to the barometer changing (rain that came in).
There was no way I could cam.
I logged on to my phone line and it was busy ( naturally).
I had to log off because I felt nauseous.
I don't have insurance, so I take Tylenol and Excedrin migraine and drink a coke.

I had a lot of years with no insurance and it sucks so much. My go to remedy was a coke too (classic coke - the mexican ones with real sugar if I can get them) and Excedrin migraine. Then if I could I would get in a super hot bath with epsom salts (magnesium absorbs through the skin somewhat, relaxes muscles and migraine sufferers are often deficient) with an ice pack on my head.
My favorite ice pack is the headache hat. You can get them from Amazon or through her website: https://theheadachehat.com/
She has migraines and truly invented the best ice pack for those of us cursed with the damn things. Expensive but worth every dime. I saved up and bought 3 of them so I always have one ready in my freezer. They stay frozen a long while and I can even sleep with one on. They have little water packets inside them. I had another one with blue ice instead and it would melt too fast to do me much good even with it frozen solid. These ones will last me for hours and stay in place with velcro without me having to hold them. When one side melts I can flip it to the cold side.
When I had a really bad one and couldn't sleep I would take a dose of liquid Nyquil (the original one is now called Nyquil cold and flu-once I bought another formula and it didn't work as well).
I really feel for anyone who has to deal with migraines. They are devastating.

you could be iron deficient ever so slightly.. I was getting horrible migraines around my menstrual period and my doctor did an iron panel. Sure enough i was low and i think i just always am for some reason

Thank You so much for your input.
I've heard about the migraine cap, and will now get one because of your review of it.
I've been using a gel ice pack that I keep in my freezer, but it slips around a lot.
I have the Nyquil pain relief made for nighttime.
Maybe I should take it during the day, even though it's nearly impossible for me to sleep in the daytime.
I wouldn't wish migraines on my worst enemy.
