I said the same thing tropo, the question and the answer...i was like, wtf??? i invented some shit and put it there.

I hope you recorded the "shit" you put there. Maybe you'll need it for transfers or whatever. It's one thing remembering an answer, but having to remember a question to answer is another matter entirely. Most professional companies have a "?" hyperlink in input fields to provide information or explanation when there's confusion.

Anyone using wires with Paxum successfully? how many days does it take generally?

I've seen more complains about the temporary card not working for POS. If the POS in your country still use the strip cards then it might work, I don't know if that's the issue. The limit for the ATM that my friend used is $700+. Not a low limit from paxum either, it seems "Clients can also use the card for ATM withdrawals up to $1,000 USD per day. Those will be temporary limits and will be increased later."

I just read somewhere (can't find it again) that the daily ATM withdrawal is $1000, but each withdrawal has a limit of $500.

I tested it out at the local supermarket (POS) and it worked fine, as well as a small online purchase.

In Brasil we always have to press the pin, always! Also the receipts are always in paper, very few people send it by email. Also on paxum, the purchases made with the temporary card dont show a statement, only the old card and the acct itself, so i figured they didnt add that feature yet or wont for this card. not sure. On the stores i bought things and the card went through directly, the stores told me this is very very dangerous as i could get the card robbed and having someone or anyone using it without any issues. I dont like the idea that it wont ask my pin at all.

Regarding the no statement issue. I messaged them today and they told me that for the moment that feature won't be available, however they invited me to ask whenever I needed information, and they promptly sent me a list of my purchases.

They are getting greedy with their charges. I watched my available balance drop twice from the first amount which appeared after a purchase. Without any details it's hard work keeping track of charges if you use the card often. I'll be asking them several times per week for statement updates.

06/17/2018 DCR / TruCa$h Transaction Processing Fee -1.26
06/17/2018 DCR / TruCa$h Transaction Processing Fee -0.19

I'm trying to comprehend all this sh*t.

The: "TruCa$h FX POS Int'l FEE"... must be the additional 2.5% fee we were promised here:

50055

and the: "END OF DAY BATCH PROCESS Int'l POS fee - FIS -1.50".... is the standard MasterCard processing fee for foreign currency transaction via POS.

That's my best guess, but what is the last one on your list?:

"DCR / TruCa$h Transaction Processing Fee -1.26"

I don't have a list of my fees yet, but I've worked out that all my transactions have cost me a fee of 6.5%, so it's costing me $6.50 per $100 spending, or $65 per $1000. All your listed fees explains why I keep seeing my available balance going down, which it has done 3 times in the last 48 hours.

I'll have to compare this to the charge of bank wire, but my last one cost me $90 due to the corresponding bank charging $40, which I only found out about once the money had reached my account.

Sometimes at POS terminals I have the option of being billed in my currency or USD, the card's currency. I wonder if this will save me the 2.5%???? I never used this option before because I always get a worse foreign exchange rate when I chose it. There's only one way to find out - give it a go.

The bottom line is we're being screwed by Paxum no matter which way we turn.

Isn't it nice of them to leave us all in the dark... using all these abbreviations, as though we should know them all. I just had a look back on my old Choice bank Paxum card and no fees were ever shown separately. The available balance was adjusted as soon as the item was posted, and that was it... they didn't keep taking money off. I think they are screwing us like this because their main competitor First Choice went down and they knew we were all desperate for a payment service.

Another thing I think has changed. I seem to remember that the $45 card fee was only charged every 2 years when it was replaced, not yearly. I remember making sure there was $45 in my account to pay for it every 2nd year. Can you remember if you were charged yearly? If you need to pay it yearly, why call it a card fee... just call it what it is, an account service fee. First Choice was $2 per month, which would be the same as a Paxum card fee every 2 years.

No, the fee was yearly, always was.....and about these fees, im sure it will come back with the answer that this is a provisory card, coz they dont have a bank yet and while they dont, some kind of shit is being done to be able to send everyone cards.

It really does suck, doesn't it? No statement, huge fees... service that has gone downhill a lot. I'm surprised it's only the two of us discussing this here.

I've just noticed that my account balance has been reduced again, a 4th time over 72 hours. I made 3 small transactions, one online and 2 POS for a total of $83.07 charged. Now, with fees, this totals $89.51. That's 7.75% extra in fees. When will it stop? This is daylight robbery. I noticed your fees were subtracted on a single day. Mine just keeps going down, over a period of days. Every morning I wake up to a lower balance.

I'm still waiting for an update on my statement so I can check how they have managed to apply so many fees to my card. Who can use a card that subtracts nealy 8% in fees?

they didnt respond to my ticket yet, as soon as they do, i will post their response here.

I got a response to my ticket and ended up with a whole list of charges that added 7.9% to my purchases.
This is what I gather so far. I've asked for a more detailed explanation:

1. DCR / TruCa$h Transaction Processing Fee

and

2 DCR / TruCa$h FX POS Int'l Fee

Both of these are the 2.5% POS transaction fee they promised us on every foreign exchange transaction. I don't know why they have used different names as all my transactions are foreigner currency. The thing is my first purchase was not POS, but an internet purchase, yet it attracted the same fee and even the same name.

3. END OF DAY BATCH PROCESS Transaction Processing Fee -1.50

and

4. END OF DAY BATCH PROCESS Int'l POS free - FIS -1.50

That's also 2 different names for the same transaction fee, a fixed $1.50 per transaction. I don't know why one has "POS" and another doesn't as they were both POS transactions.

They aren't going to like me at customer service, asking for explanations.

That $1.50 fixed fee is going to be a killer for lots of small transactions.

Looking at your list on post #258 I work out that you spent $1068. Your fees so far are $26.7 (2.5% fee) + (1.50 x 4) = $32.7%. I expect you'll see 2 more $1.50 charges as you're 2 short (6 purchases in total), so a grand total of $35.7 charges for $1068 of purchases... 3.34% total charges. Mine were higher due to the purchases being small and therefore being hit harder by the fixed $1.50 charge. These $1.50 fees added up to 5.4% of my purchases.

Sorry for waffling on like this... I just want to get to the bottom of it all.

That's pretty rough. I only had to wait just over 2 weeks between printing and shipping. Printing April 24 - Shipping May 10... then I had to wait 6 weeks to receive the card. The wait is long enough without a long wait to print. They probably forgot to ship it. They are not really on the ball these days. They are currently responding to tickets though. It takes me a day or two to get a reply, except over weekends when it takes a bit longer.

FUCK ! Finally my account says shipped June 26, and there is a card number and a link to activate the card.

In the mean time I am still just getting check in the mail. from SM which has been my life saver. and yes I was annoyed of losing about $50 for the checks that came into check cashing fees. but I am still more on the grateful side then looking for something to complain on.

I was going to go with regular mail, what made you want to switch payment method? Also is paxum better (cheaper) than cosmo payment? After all the fees? I’m in US.

when it comes to webcam earnings I am not into going with these e-wallets. I just want to keep getting paid from the sites I've been with since 2003 simple as possible. I can handle waiting on check in the mail coming to me in Canada cause my wait is about 2 weeks max.

what becomes annoying is cashing them , my bank holds them for 15 days even if they see them regularly. but now i know its cause they want to use my money to make their money in the forgien exchange market. but now I am able to do that myself.

the paxum card would be helpful cause it is US currency, and I can use that card to load up my broker account, make my USD purchases I need to , and if the USD cash ATM near me gives me USD I can reduce my fees a lot. So nwo it's wait on the card while still getitng my checks and see if I can take out cash from cibc machines or make a field trip to the US currency ATMs at the airport.

it's funny take the train to the airport to use the currency ATM is the cheapest way of getting my money.

Paxum doesn't help with information on the transaction fees.

Here's the reply I got to my queries:

"For additional information regarding the fees and transactions, please contact the issuer of the card, by calling at the number on the back of the card."

It's similar to the money mart, pre-paid card. the store tells you to call the card if you need to know more details of the card or even to get sent a new one when it's expires.

I am hoping this card will arrive by July 20. since it said shipped June 26. if it really is on route in the mail. and coming from USA or Canada I can't see a reason why it would be delayed as I get everything else in my mail on time and not damaged.

Thanks! I got in touch with the delivery agent, he will do me a favour and deliver to my new place this afternoon. Yay!

I read above about fees but I am too tired to understand, I am up since yesterday. Worked all night then stayed up to solve the card delivery, my brain is not fully functional lol. I will read again later on when I ll be rested. My friend has the card for a while too, she only used it for ATM and she didn't mention/complain about fees. In romania can not be used for POS anywhere it seems.

Just to make it easy, as far as I know so far, if you use your card for POS or online purchasing, there's a straight $1.50 charge PLUS a 2.5% charge.

I don't take the money out by ATM but I believe it works like this. You pay a straight up $2 ATM fee, and you get the conversion rate applied by the bank. I don't know what that means exactly. i.e. which bank? Maybe the bank that owns the ATM? I do think that works out worse than the daily MasterCard foreign exchange rate applied on POS transactions (or online). The problem I have with ATM withdrawals is that in my country I pay $7 for each pull, so I would have to pull the maximum daily amount of $500 to lower my costs.

It's hard to find out exactly which method is better because you cannot look up the transactions on your card - you have to make a special inquiry, which often takes days to get an answer.

Malinka, you can t move funds over $500. If you re trying to move a smaller amount and you still can t, does it give you an error? Because it fixes by itself the next day.

The error i got when trying to send money from the acct to the card was of the number 404. Anyone else? It was fixed next day but because i sent a ticket to support demanding them to fix it asap as i needed the money after 60 days of not being able to use my funds.

Got a 404 error once too. Got fixed the next day before support could have the chance to reply me.

But what is happening today? The service is restricted, got money, can't move them on my card.

Yes, by using the bank wire option. You'll be charged $50 for the transfer. Maybe ask about the foreign exchange rate and who applies it. I sent USD to a USD account and was fleeced an additional $40 for a correspondent bank charge. Maybe Paxum apply their exchange rate and send AUD.

If it's a mastercard you get this rate.
https://www.mastercard.us/en-us/consumers/get-support/convert-currency.html

this helps give you an estimate of what you will be getting when you do a ATM withdrawl. on the day you use it it could be off by $10.00 sometimes.

Thank you for taking the time to explain. I appreciate.

Got the card and I transferred a small amount and then went to ATM. Everything went ok.

I can not figure the fees yet as I pulled out a part of what I transferred, in my currency, for a test. And I still have like 8$ left on card. I can't calculate to save my life lol.
On the paper that came with the card it shows international ATM has a 2$ fee plus 2,50%. Which is not bad for me especially if using the ATM without conversion so then I get the MasterCard exchange rate and not the local bank exchange , MasterCard rate being always higher than bank's rate.

I will try again tomorrow with a higher amount and maybe I will figure out then. Anyway is better than using external card transfer, fees and awaiting time wise.

Be aware it can take a few days for all the fees to be subtracted from your available balance and they won't be subracted all at once. I watched my available balance after a few transaction go down 4 times (twice for each transaction). It's not like the old Paxum card that gave you an available balance, and it stayed there. All the fees were included in a single transaction.
