^ Uh huh. I hear a lot of girls bitching about no money, shitty custys. I have a higher per shift average than most and I havent been under my average in 3 weeks. There is money. Lots of it. The challenge is to figure out how to get it.

Total Newbie, but the way I see it, I'm a retail business. The locally owned retail place I work at typically sets a minimum goal at 800 a day. My money tactic there is raise the goal by 300 each time I meet it. It keeps me motivated.
To me, banking involves doubling my monthly expenses in one week of dancing while dancing two-three weeks a month.
If my hypothetical living and working expenses net 1000, I want to double that in a week at a minimum. So one week of dancing should bring in 2000 at a bare minimum. Divide that by the number of days in the work week and that's my first goal for the night. When I meet that goal, add 300 to it and keep going.
If I can't meet that goal, I'm wasting my time with the wrong hustle and should be paying more attention to attitude, customers, and location, in that order.
It hadn't even occurred to me to wonder what the other girls were making. They are their own businesses and I only measure my success by my goals and ability to adapt.

You have no one but yourself to blame if you are not making money.
If you are making NO MONEY everyday, in every club, then yes, I agree with this statement, because that just doesn't make any sense.
But, we all have bad nights where the only spending custys came to see their regular ladies, or we just got bad luck and we're blondes and the spenders want brunettes or just keep getting put onstage at the shittiest times and miss the good custys. Or there's a huge fight or football game or whatever on TV. Or it's the fucking summer. Nobody can have any amazing night EVERY single night. It's not really fair to expect every stripper to make $700 minimum at her shift, that's just not always possible. That's nice your friend can do it but as someone who's had many thousand dollar nights, I do not expect EVERY night to be a thousand dollar night. If I make less than $200, then yeah, I fucked something up, cause that's just basic. But even if I only make $300 and everyone else barely barely made $100, I'm still going to be OK with it. Maybe not happy, but OK with it, because I know that I worked hard and it wasn't me.
Everything's relative!

The biggest problem I see in my club is that most of the girls don't have the patience to work the customers. They get annoyed or bored or lazy and jump ahead to asking for dances before the customer is even convinced that he actually wants one. I spent 4 hours drinking with and schmoozing a high roller last night. There was a big party in the club on day shift. We knew this party was coming in and we had double the usual Monday day shift dancers working. I didn't immediately approach the table like most of the other girls. I sat at a table nearby, pretending to look at my phone while watching how the group was interacting. They had stacks of dollar bills 5-6" tall in front of the customers, and they were throwing the bills on stage and handing them out to all the girls and staff.
As I watched the table of customers, I could see that 3 of them would not buy dances. They were there to keep their friends company, but there was no way they were interested in dances. There were several others who were show-boating and buying the $20 table side dances to show their buddies how awesome they are. I don't do $20 dances, so I skipped those customers. That left 3 customers who I guessed may or may not buy rooms. I picked the one who looked the most stressed out, assuming that he was a facilitator for the party. He was about 10 years younger than the rest of the guys. He was also the only one wearing a business suit, whereas the rest of group had just come in off the golf course.
From there, it was all skill and patience to get that customer back into VIP. He wasn't into me at first, but I changed his mind. He bought an hour. It was the only hour sold that day and I left at almost 11pm. Sure, I spent several hours just hanging out, but I was still making money from the stacks of $1s they were handing out. I was also taking my turns on stage, so I made money that way, as well.
On days like this, you've got to have some serious hustling skills to land those whales. Most of the other girls working yesterday went home with less than $100. A few of us left with much, much more. I think some of the non-buyers could have been convinced to buy dances if they were hustled properly. But probably not as many dances, and a room for $500 would have given them sticker shock. If it is really slow, I will work on this type of customer, but I wanted to dance for just one guy who was interested in spending some money.

I'm a lazy vet who doesn't bank. I generally make 1-170 a shift, and usually only work one or two shifts a week. I could probably make more if I tried, but I really don't care enough to try. Why do I still strip if I'm not banking? Well, sitting at home eating fucking bonbons all day gets really boring. Stripping, for me, is such a nice break from the monotony of housewifery. It's my ME time. Plus, I fucking LOVE dancing. And ironically it's dancing and heavy pole work which keeps me in tip top shape, so I'm killing two birds with one stone.
I guess it'd be nice if I made more money every shift, but since I'm not in dire need of money I suppose I have become pretty complacent. Obviously--as it has been stated in this thread: I could make under 200 a day doing vanilla work--but I can't think of anything that would be as forgiving as stripping is with scheduling, since my husband works 12-14 hour days and is always on call therefore requiring me to call off abruptly and come in late. And the idea of getting a babysitter just so I can work at some vanilla job to pacify my boredom seems awfully unessecary.
...i wonder how much my location plays into my earnings here. It seems like the ceiling is a lot lower here due to the absence of lapdances.
My coworkers (the ones who don't hang out with customers OTC) make about the same as me(and they really try whereas I just do my stage sets and go back upstairs to take a nappy/look at my hot self in the mirror/tell jokes to whomever else is up there). I mean, I know I only have myself to blame for my piss poor earnings and I doubt my lazy ass would make a million
dollars a night in a faraway land--but I swear--I think location is a slight factor in earning potential.
Anyhow, as you can see: different strokes for different folks.

I love it when the other girls are feeling lazy, or in Underachiever-mode.
Or when they've decided they're prematurely "done for the night."
Good!
Stay in the dressing room. I'll go pick up all that money that you don't want...
