I can't believe I'm going to contribute to this thread but i need to lose weight. I've always been between 11-113( the last 6 years since i got off the pill) I'm 124 now/:O. I know its because I've had bad depression and i'm taking anti depressants not to mention i broke my wrist so all I've been doing is eating boxes of cheezits, goldfish and chocolate every night. So I need to lose 10 pounds.:-[ [I] I guess no more junk and I need to go make myself go to the gym even though I can barely get out of bed. I just don't have a taste for healthy foods. Any ideas on food that I can eat that are easy( I don't cook) that will taste good not all healthy. I wish I liked healthy stuff but i'd rather eat cookies than a healthy meal.

It's by no means a balanced diet, but I've dropped weight fast by eating 2-3 medium sized baked potatoes a day and almost nothing else for up to a week or two.

Protein can become an issue with this diet, but you can top them with protein containing combos like chili and sour cream, cheese and chives, sour cream/plain yogurt and chives, beans cheese and salsa, etc. If I start to feel weak I eat some cottage cheese. Or dump an egg on top of one of the combos I mentioned.

The beauty of this 'diet' is that you can make a seriously decadent meal that's still very low calorie and involves next to no cooking. I'm only suggesting this to you because you don't like healthy food or cooking -- if those weren't factors of course I'd recommend a more balanced diet. But short term diets don't need to be perfect IMO. I've had plenty of success and haven't ruined my health with silly diets like these.

Weird I weighed myself today and was 117. I was 124 a few days ago. None the less I still want to get back to 1112-115.

I love backed potatoes but they have tons of carbs but if I balance it out with protein that'd be ok.

^Probably it was water weight, did you have a few drinks or eat some salty food, bloating from period or needed to take a dump? lol All these are factors

I used to eat potatoes for meals all the time! I would load them with toppings and it was so filling with hardly any calories. Whenever I stop low-carbing im definitely going to incorporate these back in my diet.

When eating a lot of baked potatoes, make sure you wash them well prior to cooking, and eat the skin. Most of the iron, potassium, and other minerals are in the skin.

I have severely low potassium, to the point I went to the ER in an ambulance cause I couldn't walk to the car. Potatoes actually contain more potassium than bananas...if you eat the skin.

Yeah I was on my period but I usually bloat before. And yes I eat horribly. I've been eating the spicy manchurin chicken noodle things the last 4 nights. I also have been taking paxil for the last 3 months for depression and I broke my wrist and have only worked 10 shifts since sep. so I'm sure all that has a lot to do with it. lol.

^ Those cheezits and crackers have a lot of salt in them too. Besides calories, carbs and sugar. If you don't like to cook, and don't like super healthy foods;,start by buying canned organic versions of soup you might like. Or frozen food that you can put in the microwave.

My body goal: Lose enough weight that straight women customers tell me I look like Barbie again. Happened ~7lbs ago, might take less now that I have a boob job.

Until then, [fake] tan is the new thin.

Have you noticed a difference in all your clothes or just tops? If it's just tops then more than likely it's your funbags. If not, then more than likely you put on a few llbs. It's not the end of the world. Just keep doing what you're doing and don't go looking for a quick fix.

Lol, most of my tops wouldn't even button up after my boobs, I threw everything out besides t-shirts, but I assumed that would happen. It's the jeans that are bothering me, I had to buy up a size (was a 24 now a 25).

I'm just getting frustrated that after three weeks of dieting I have a one pound lose to show. My body is really clinging to this weight, I've done this diet before and always lost 1-2 a week. How long did it take you to lose weight after?

And I am including the implants on my weight gain. I'm up 15 lbs but subtracting three for the implants.

Just a thought Audrey, have you been eating more soy products than usual? Imitation meats when cooking for the SO? Drinking diet sodas or other "sugar free" beverages?

When drinking water add a twist of lemon as a diuretic.

Audrey, I'm starting to feel convinced that implants have caused my midsection just to blow up. I've only gained ~3-5lbs since my surgery (accounting for implants) but it's all in my stomach! Hell, I just noticed backfat. I never gained weight anywhere aside from my ass and thighs before now. Maybe it's residual swelling or something!? Either way, it's pretty upsetting. Would love to hear from other women who have implants. Sorry for threadjacking.

Well, I've a gut, & I've nvr had 1 prev..I don't have implants, but I hate having a gut. I heard stress can increase cortisol, which increases belly fat.

Could it be that your bottom has gotten a bit bigger because it it is supporting more weight topside? I would think a little more weight on your hips would make your body more proportional since you have a bigger topside. You know, the whole hourglass figure thing. Are you just freaking because of a scale, or because your bf thinks your butt looks too big? Without seeing a picture, I'm guessing the weight looks good on you, and you are just not used to your new body dimensions.

I've always had the pooch even before I had them. Idk if it's me being older but I gotta work hard to minimize it. I don't think it's implants alone.

I don't drink soda and my imitation meat products have eggs. I'm pretty healthy eater, I cook 90% of my food from scratch, I'm super anal about balanced meals... I know I was being a bit of a pig when my boyfriend and I first started dating, going out to expensive dinners and drinking tons of wine and eat deserts, but I'm surprised I blew up so much.

I haven't noticed much gain to my stomach either, I was definitely bloated right after the surgery but it hasn't puffed out more than anywhere else. When I gain weight the first place it goes to is my upper arms which is really unattractive and basically makes me photo-phobic, and then there's been gain to my hips and my thighs.

OK. I know many fake meats use soy which naturally contains a form of estrogen.

If your diet is clean, I would suggest just maintain and be patient until your body tips off of the weight plateau you seem to be on. You might try some weight training to add a little elan muscle and increase your around the clock caloric burn.

Add some vitamin supplements to make sure your body doesn't think you are starving it, and as I said before be patient. You look amazing and your man is lucky to have you.

Long romantic walks with your SO...the winter cold will increase caloric burn rate as your body works to maintain body temp.

Also ideally a loss of 1or2 pounds per month is really a good pace with you being so small and close to your target weight anyway.

Have you tried Lamictal? ( its new) It's a really good antidepressant, no weight gain at all and not an SSRI or similar. It's also the only one that's ever helped my treatment resistant depression. I would say it made me 40% better.

No. Sorry to threadjack but this could be helpful to many here ( as a lot of us suffer depression). I was on prozac and any others for 7 years I was suicidal and hated the way I felt so i quit cold turkey 10 years ago. I asked for paxil for anxiety( as it helped. I took it a week before a trip and i was fine( even though i know you're not suppose to take it like that. i've been on it everyday since sep and it's not helping.

Okay trying out for a new club an very concerned about the flabby tummy I created once I quit smoking cigs. My weight is fine, due to the fact I was under weight before. Now, I need to tone up! Wish me luck. I have ten days after Xmas to focus hard and tone up. Will it work? Who know...but I'll tell you about it later.

Bumpingggg. My body goals are to lose around 100lbs and gain lean muscle by lifting after the weight is gone. I plan on strength training while losing but I'd like to wait until I'm thinner to start lifting so I can see the results easier. That and my ADD acts better when I focus on one goal at a time. I need to start eating more whole foods, cooking more, and cutting back on sugary drinks (juice obsessed). I'll give it a year.

Well...I haven't been around in a while since getting my retail job back in Oct 2014 BUT I have great news that I have met my initial body goal of being under 200lbs.....I weigh 195 to 198 now (yay). Hopefully by this time next year I will be at my proper weight which is about 135 to 150ish. I look forward to it. And while we are on that note.....has anyone tried that 21 day fix program by BeachBody? If so, are you getting any good results?? I REALLY want to give it a shot. I have the P90X2 program....but that is some tough shit when you are SO beyond out of shape! SHould of seen me trying to do what they call the inch worm hahahaha ....I about died it felt like. Yes, THAT out of shape.

On another note, I hope everyone is doing well with their body goals!!!!!!!

I'm down 20 pounds. It took a while 6-8 months and I feel soo much better.

Still chubby. Next goal is 20 pounds down through daily cardio. Reduced fruit and no chocolate. I struggle w that part.

I'm curvy and I like the shape thats emerging. Yay

Can you share what you've been doing over the past 6-8 months?

amberlly
01-13-2015, 06:50 PM
^^ Sure thing

I do daily cardio for 1 hour. Walking, cross trainer or swimming

Then foodwise I avoid alcohol, juice etc and eat mainly fruit, vegetables, eggs, meat and lentils. And one meal replacement bar a day. I like them for breakfast or if I am in a rush and nothing healthy about.

Portion control was the biggest. Just small regular meals.
I eat half of what I used too. Even though it was healthy it was just too much.

And NO POTATOES. I avoid them like the plague.

1 carb = 1/3 cup rice, thin slice of bread, two kiwi, one piece of fruit, 13 grapes, 1/2 cup dahl, 1/2 cup beans etc.

1 protein = 1/2 chicken breast, 1 leg, 1 small can of tuna, palm size of meat or 150g fish (grilled). 30g haloumi/cheese.

Veggies are free

B: 1 protein and 1 carb

M : 1 carb

L: 2 protein 1 carb (can swap)

A: 1 carb/protein

D: 1 carb and 1 protein

Can use small amounts of condiments for taste and 2tsp butter/avacado/fat per day

TBBW You look incredible (though also originally super hot so kinda hard to compare). You lost a chin! it's just gone. And your neck looks so elegant- are those collar bones I see starting to peak out? Also I know the lighting is different but you skin is looking so lovely and your eyes look so big and shiny! Fuck yeah. Do you have any body pic comparisons for us, because it looks like your arms and tummy are feeling the pain of Jillian too, just hard to see in that photo?

sorry for the delay on this, i had to look thru pics and i couldn't find any old pics of my high weight, but i did find an old clip so i took a screenshot, not the best but you can tell how big i was at least.

i still have more to go but it's a work in progress. this is about 60 lbs lost. see attachment

my friend drinks a kombucha and i notice how she lost a weight. She drinks it cuz she tried to cut sugary drinks. I heard many ppl lost a weight drinking a Kombucha. Actually to eat healthy is not that hard. Try with a simple salad spring mix, half orange, half grapefruit, as many as you like of blueberries, 2 strawberries, roasted pecans, sometimes i add a blue cheese. On side you can put rice or quinua, brown rice. I eat for a month like that. I like it
Myself i want to gain a muscle weight, and i want to be toned.thats it.

That's it! I'm in!

I don't care about losing weight, but I want to lose my stomach and tighten up my upper body. I love my legs, ass, and boobs. You'd think that would be enough right? Well my wallet is taking a beating and my middle is the only thing that could be a physical barrier. I'm only 4ft 9in, so even though it doesn't seem that bad, it really is compared to the rest of me.

Hubby and I are going to do yoga at 9pm every night we are home together as a start.

Praying to the body gods that I keep my boobs!

James Duigan's book flat tummy fast has some great ideas. Summary is avoid too much acidic foods, stress and have a regular sleep schedule. Plus planks are great for tummy toning. He goes into the details for what causes a pooch and how to get rid of it on already slim and toned women.

His flat tummy fast super quick diet approach is 6 days of no coffee, alcohol, fruit just green veggies and white meat like turkey, fish or chicken breast steamed multiple times per day.

Thank you Tempest. The short thing sucks. 5lbs on me looks like 10. Tanning doesn't even make me look slimmer anymore. My original plan was to get a tummy tuck (I posted about it a while back). But I'm at the point that my money has taken such a dive there will be no affording it by October unless a miracle happens. I was doing good on the starting to work out thing. Getting results I was happy with. My skin was less flabby, jeans were loose. Then the holidays happened. So all the effort I had put in was for nothing. So we need to get back to it.

One positive is that we have stuck with our diet changes. So we aren't going to go through that craving crap food after working out phase again. We have actually cleaned up our diets a bit more. I convinced my daughter that granola bars and graham crackers are candy bars and cookies so we could cut back on junk in the house. We started trying new things (plain yogurt was an EPIC fail) to diversify our meals. And we have cut back on our liquor intake.

Baby steps! Healthy isn't just a choice. It is a lifestyle. I'm slowly working to it.

You're going to gain some weight after that isn't your boobs, between bloating and inactivity. How much you gain can be minimized by monitoring your diet and calorie intake. Avoid processed foods and focus on eating proteins and good carbs.
