Is there any cam girl that has any reason to become a camgirl that didn't have to do with a man?? Seriously curious.. because for 12 yrs I don't see that is the case. I do see alot of girls who have blacked out, blocked out their lives in order to continously say I love sex, I am being empowered, I am independent?? so Really?? tell me about why you are a cam girl?? that has nothing to do with the way men treat you. Let's break this STEROTYPE.. not hating.. but after being old and been here for over a decade.. I see girls in denial about their lives and the old ones who already KNOW why they are here..
I've honestly never heard of this stereotype. I got into camming cause I have anxiety, and I could not have any more control over my life or earning situation like anywhere else.

I can see quitting if it was a serious relationship and you wanted to move on. I dont think any man should ever pressure a cam performer to quit because you dated them knowing what they do for a living. It's legal, its usually damn fun, the money is great and it's all online.
This. Hell, I even remember hearing about a cam girl who dated (and even married, I think?) a cam customer, and then when they had a fight he flipped out and posted all her personal info online for everyone to see.
I do know of a former MFC model who quit MFC because her husband wanted her to, and she was pretty upset about it.

I was working at a retirement home and was laid off. A friend of mine cammed on the side of her regular job and suggested it. I hated even my picture being taken, so the idea of being on video wasn't something that appealed to me.
I tried it and the money was fairly easy (this was about 3 years ago...it isn't easy anymore) so I stayed with it.
I'd be doing something else right now but I'm dealing with a health issue that's affected my walking, so I'm not able to do the physical jobs I had experience in. I'm hoping I'll improve enough in the next few months to exit camming.

i know i've listed my reasons somewhere before, but, to be SURE: it was not for a DUDE. ever ever ever and not planning to stop for a dude either, so......i don't think as many people as might be assumed got into this directly as a result of a relationship. also, lest we not forget not everyone is straight.
