They aren't at any risk. You're only at risk if you're putting up ads and seeing clients whom you know nothing about. Pornstars and actresses never ever do that. They work through elite mostly UTR agencies. The pornstar ones have websites, but a few even make you log in to see their roster (especially the UTR girls) with a huge deposit upfront just to be able to do that. Actress escort agencies don't even have websites or any paper trail at all. Hollywood escort agencies for the elite go completely off blackbooks and word of mouth. The actresses likely don't stop escorting, they just get more and more under the radar.

Sex is the backbone of Hollywood anyway, and no one cares. In LA, people are even very open-minded if you do porn because there are so many pornstars here that it doesn't faze anyone. Its something you really can't understand unless you've lived here. Evvvvvvveryone on the west side is a gold digger or has a sugar daddy, I swear. So no one cares about escorting TBH. How LA is portrayed on TV and how it is IRL are two completely different things. Everyone IRL knows that everything in entertainment is a facade, a business, and playing off controversy in order to make more money... its not reality.

Men don't care if you've been an escort before. Maybe insecure or power-hungry ones do, but that's not the type of man you would want to be involved with. They have no reason to care about your past. Who you previously had sex with before you met them is none of their business. That is such an irrelevant thing. So if you meet a well off man, why can't you leave your escort life behind and live off his money? Happens all the time.

I have to disagree with you a little bit. I lived in LA for 24 years and most of my friends are in the entrainment industry as that's what I studied, and I don't feel like porn is anywhere near as mainstream as you're making it out to be. None of my actress friends would be willing to do porn and would totally look down on anyone who did-- I feel like there is a very big separation between the two. They'd be happy to do a nude scene in a regular film or a sex scene, and I have some friends that have done 'artistic' sex scenes that were graphic, but no way would they do porn or Playboy or anything like that. The only people I've known who did porn/Playboy type shoots were girls that I met in SCs, not ones looking to be mainstream actresses, and I was always horrified by how much they said they got paid. I'm also with Kelly on the A list actresses doing escorting... I certainly am not going to argue that there isn't enough money to be made in doing it, I just can't see why someone who's getting paid millions of dollars to do films, has endorsement deals, modeling shoots, and gets paid just to show up to parties and events would be taking time to go and have sex with people for money. These people barely have lives at all, there constantly working and doing everything they can to get PR and exposure and I would much rather get paid 10 grand to go to a club for an hour than to fuck somebody (not to mention the former brings them PR + exposure!).

I also have to disagree on the escort thing. I had tons of stripping clients in LA who worked in the entertainment industry, and I have tons of London bankers now as an escort, and no way would any of these men ever date me or take me seriously. I have gone out with a few guys I've met at SCs over the years on 'dates' but they were never the high-powered, super successful, wealthy, sugar daddy type clients I met. They enjoy my company, are willing to pay me and my bankers usually book longer sessions and are always commenting on how much fun it is talk to me, but I can tell I'm getting put into a category of 'not wife/gf material too slutty/bad past.' I had a client (banker) that I saw a while ago who was super fun, he booked an hour and ended up extending to 3.5 cause we were laughing and having such a great time, and afterwards I kind of hinted that I liked him and got shot down entirely. He's booked me twice since then but it's pretty clear he doesn't see me as good enough to be a wife/gf because I'm an escort and I think that's the general attitude.

I agree on both. I just can't imagine an A list actress doing this. I have to wonder if some think A list is different than what I'm thinking. I'm thinking actresses who headline movies, win awards etc. Some are sex symbols, some are not.

I've never been an escort but I know having been a dancer some guys definitely put me in the not appropriate to be a girlfriend" category. Granted most weren't wealthy or anything like that but even so their attitude was I was fun and they liked having me on their arm but marry me? never.

You are kind of twisting my words. Yes I have and do live in LA, and my sister (who is now in her 50s) has spent the last 31 years here in LA also where she was somewhat "involved" with that crowd.

Working and non-working "actresses" won't get involved with the porn crowd because their manager would drop them. But many are still secretly escorting. Porn and escorting are two completely different things. "Actresses" and "models" already fuck left and right just to land jobs, so its not like they are going to shy away from escorting. That is the backbone of Hollywood. And it doesn't mean they look down on girls in porn, I'm just talking about the average person. Everyone in LA basically knows someone who has done porn lol.

I never said every actress escorted, and obviously the busier she is, the less she will have time to do something like escort, but if someone offered hundreds of thousands per hour, I don't think she'd exactly turn that down immediately. There are people willing to pay high end prices for a sought after celeb. And there are a lot of out-of-work celebs working escort/provider gigs.

And I'm talking about celebs and "known" girls (extensively published Playboy models, etc) marrying wealthy guys they meet through escorting. Not random strippers or mid-range escorts. These are clients that would NEVER book off ads- only as a blackbook or referral client from another blackbook client already. Lets think of some sexworker-celeb combo couples: Hank Baskett who married Playboy model Kendra. Charlie Sheen who now is engaged to g/g pornstar Brett Rossi. It happens all the time, especially to glamour model porn girls (Playboy, glamour porn, etc.), which Michelle Braun is claiming she did a lot of the "introducing" in the late 90s and early 00s when she took Heidi Fleiss' place as a madam.

I'm just quoting the girl who ran the agency, Michelle Braun. She has said it a million times. So has Heidi Fleiss who was a madam back in the early 90s. Same thing. I don't know why you are disagreeing with me, when I'm just quoting ex-madams lol.

No, I know what A list means. I'm not an idiot.

Part of the problem is you're assuming they escort the way a normal girl would escort. It's not like that at all. They don't show up at someone's hotel room and take an envelope of money.

With all due respect, they're making a lot more than 10 grand. That's chump change to these people. That wouldn't even come close to covering the introduction fees, which don't include sex for people at that level.

You're thinking of it like normal escorting, which is a mistake. It's not like that. If you told a guy, "Donate 2 million to my charity and I'll go on a date with you." would you really be afraid of being arrested for that? I doubt it. The case would be a laughingstock in court.

I read somewhere Paris Hilton, gets $250,000 to show up at a party. I don't think she is even an actress.

Gosh, I don't know if that number's correct but it wouldn't surprise me. But yeah, if she gets that much to show up at a party, imagine how much it costs to go on a date with her... with no sex. And she's not even an A-lister.

The amount of money some of these women can command is almost unthinkable.

While probably off-topic, the relatively unpublicized 'limousine liberal' business model of a 'famous' female 'dating' a rich guy as quid-pro-quo for a sizeable donation to the 'famous' female's favorite cause or charity has been an institution for decades. In the final analysis, it transmutes paying for an escort with anonymous money into paying for an escort via a legitimate tax-deductible expenditure.

I didn't say you were stupid, I just have a hard time thinking of an A lister having sex for money under any circumstances. The actresses I am thinking of generally don't even do nude scenes and many are older I just can't imagine this. People keep talking about Playmates but they aren't A list actresses. Neither are reality stars.

^ I definitely buy that actresses in the Megan Fox or Jessica Alba fame zone would escort. But I just can't fathom why someone who is in the Meryl Streep elitist A-lister category would escort after becoming so immensly successful. I'm sure a lot of the powerhouse actresses have sucked and fucked their way to the top though, so that's not to say that I doubt they EVER escorted.

And don't get me wrong, I understand that actresses of the Meryl Streep caliber could command hundreds of thousands, if not millions of dollars for sex...but I feel like these actresses could charge that kind of money to just to show up at a function if they wanted to.

Toooooootally! Wealthy people are such scammers lol. Even Kris Jenner, the Kardashian ring leader, owns a religious organization aka a CHURCH, and its obviously just for the tax deductions. The Kardashian bunch lists their stuff on ebay, does charity events, all while only donating like 10% of the profits to charity and writing it off as a tax deduction because it was a ~*charitable donation*~. I remember reading a long article about that.

Just like how half the people who run LLCs claim their income as something completely different. I know pornstars do that so they can be legit without being judged by banks and lenders. I even read a reddit AMA where an escort agency owner said he had an s-corp that he claimed was a marketing company, but he was an escort agency owner. I swear, half of all LLCs and s-corps are probably sex or drug money operations lol.

I read somewhere Paris Hilton, gets $250,000 to show up at a party. I don't think she is even an actress.

I heard somewhere, ALLEGEDLY, she was once an escort with Nicole Richie and they did doubles together. And ALLEGEDLY, Paris now recruits for agency owner madams and gets a cut. She was seen with Michelle Braun before more than once, JUST SAYING. I suspect Michelle Braun was a Diana Jenkins-like motherly "mentor" to "young stars" as well.

I'm just in awe that even actual sexworkers don't realize this is a thing.

They don't do nude scenes because they don't want their nude image on camera due to the stigma, I'm sure. But that comparison makes no sense. Many still escort. That's like saying: "My (secret escort) friend doesn't escort! I mean hello, she won't even shoot porn!!! Why on earth would she escort??" Permanent video work is on a completely different level than behind-closed-doors-no-one-can-prove-it escort work. That's why they do it. $$$$ and no one will ever be able to prove it.

Because they're bored? Because they like it? Because they can?

Why do wealthy people do drugs? Because they're bored and they can. Why does Lindsay Lohan allegedly escort? Because she's described herself as a sexual being a million times.

Well Lana Del Rey isn't really talented.

I think Lana is extremely talented IMO. Her voice is heavenly and she's able to capture angelic innocence with a voice of darkness and depth. Many people do claim she was record label produced though, and is inauthentic. Idk if that's true or not.

I'm sorry but I fail to see the connection between being an actress and being an escort, they are two entirely different professions. Just because someone is OK with being on camera doesn't mean they're comfortable having sex with a perfect stranger. I'm an escort so I'm certainly not arguing that there's something dirty about having sex with strangers, but I'm also not an actress, and I have tons of friends who are actresses and none of them are escorts. I just don't understand why you think such a large percentage of actresses would be OK with having sex for money when 70% of the women in the country are revolted by the idea. Have some of my friends slept with people to get somewhere in the industry? Of course they have, but to them it's not worth it to sleep with someone for money. They're sleeping with people to get ahead in the business, if some random business exec offered them a thousand dollars to spent the night with them, 95% of them would decline. If an agency offered to represent them if they spent the night with him and let him film them blowing him, I think 95% of them would accept.

And I wasn't thinking they were going to be making in the thousands, but an actress who can pull in 2 mil for a fuck is probably worth 20x that, so 2 mil is nothing to her and certainly not worth it for something she has no desire to do.

And no one would pay Lindsay Lohan 2 mil to fuck them, I don't think anyone would even pay her 2gs!

I don't feel sorry for her. If she's doing porn, she makes enough money to pay for school. Somehow I doubt that her losing financial aid had anything at all to do with her acting. I think it's safe to assume the school saw she was making too much money to qualify.

ISTM that what we have here in a way is a translation into modern social standards of what used to be a "courtesan". Someone whose sexual currency is translated into social influence and from there indirect profit while she has ostensibly above-board sources of wealth (in ye olde times, a marriage of convenience to an accommodating aristocrat, for instance). Thing is, they were likely themselves to take offense at being called common harlots. Seems the society of the time did make the same distinction: direct fee-for-service = prostitution; using sex to gain allies and influence people into benefitting your economic interests = not quite.

Of course there is the old apocryphal Hollywood tale told who knows how many times, about how when [insert name of popular star of any given time period here] finally got her big studio contract/blockbuster role/award nomination she said " thank God, I won't have to blow another producer again". But there we see how the "casting couch" isn't considered prostitution, because it is understood her pay will come from the show gig, not from the sex.

I can tell you right now from experience and the people I have come into contact with that it is no lie most celebrities were or are escorts. It is more common to take place among aspiring models, actress, singers or those whose star is fading but don’t think for a second A-List actresses don’t partake in this. Most A-List actresses are escorts who offer themselves up for thousands and millions of dollars. Don’t believe me. Well ever heard of a place called Dubai? Ever hear about (insert female celebrity’s name here) going to some exotic location (most likely in the Middle East) to perform for or meet some prince? Do you really think for a second these guys are paying these women to just sit there and talk? I have been to Europe and the Middle East and trust me this type of stuff happens all the time. You just don’t hear about and when you do it is usually with some washed celebrity or some pornographic model. As I am sure you ladies have heard about porn stars taking trips to the Middle East via Instagram, twitter, etc.
