Filmora is the next 'step up' but i believe there is a way to get movie maker.

I use the 2012 version (the one that says "Build 16.4.3528.0331" when you click on the 'About' section of it) of Windows Movie Maker, just because I've always been more used to that version, and when I tried a later version I just wasn't comfortable with it...since I'd been so used to the other one. Lol. Plus, I think Pussy Playground (cam girl who used to post on here some years ago) was the one who mentioned using the 2012 version of Movie Maker too.

okay i read something that a certain group of programs including windows movie maker wont work anymore after january of this year. so i havent tried downloading it yet. now it gives like 5 or 6 free "app" choices for windows 10 as far as video editors. i downloaded 1 and it sucked balls! very basic and didnt seem to allow even the most simple editing. the other options looked lame too

I frequently use to make video clips because it can not only convert my video, clip it but also compress haha, saving quite a lot space.

I have been using Adobe Premiere pro and it has worked well once I learned how to use it.

Here is a beginner video I discovered that helped quite a bit to get me started on using it.

So I will be the first one to admit that my videos are like "shakey 90's home movies" compared to most of the ladies on these clip sites. I really would like to up my game and get into creating really great content because I just created a Gothic character and oooh do I have some stuff planned for that haha.

So I have some questions, and im sure others do too. but here are my main ones, and honestly any tips or tricks for doing so would be awesome! I'm just realllllly dumb when it comes to this stuff lol

1. Tech- Should I use a really good webcam or should I buy a really nice camera and tripod? I currently have the c920 but I have been noticing lately that it really sucks lol. I was thinking of buying a camera on amazon and a tripod and like those professional umbrella lights. are they worth it? Also, should I get a mic?

2. Editing- The last time I tried to edit a video I almost threw my laptop through the window. I got so frustrated. Are there any user friendly easy ones to use for newbs like me? It doesnt necessarily have to be free. I just dont want to spend money on one that is for people with advanced video editing skills. I have a pc so i cant use any of the awesome mac features :(

3. Green screens?? Are these easy to use? I really have an interest in them but when I try to research i literally lose brain cells.

Im really sorry if this is a lot. and im not looking for your step by step secrets because i know most probably dont wanna share how they create business but whatever you are willing to share is sooo appreciated.

Thanks ladieesss xxx

You may want to ask this in the clips4sale thread but...

1. I use a c920 and a snowball HD mic but a camera and tripod would be better and I am sure girls use a separate mic too. I like the c920 because I can see myself on my laptop while filming but there is a way to link a camera to your laptop so you still see. My whole thing is to be amateur so I haven't splashed out on more than the mic, which is a must as the c920 mic is poor quality, and audio is important. Decent lighting is essential but I use an SAD lamp that mimics sunlight.

2. I bought Adode Premier Elements and nearly through my laptop across the room. When I did manage to create an edited clip many hours later, I didn't find it to be any better quality than using Windows Movie Maker, so I stick with that.

3. I've never tried it.

You're probably losing brain cells because you're trying to run before learning to walk. Green screens and special effects are not rocket science, but they're much easier to get the hang of once you've developed some instinct for what you're doing inside your editing software.

Video editing doesn't come naturally to me by any means (I'm a sound girl through and through), but my strategy has been to try and learn some little extra thing with each clip I make. So I started with "how do I make the footage be in the order I want", "how do I make the cuts look natural", "colour correction: WTF is it?" etc, and eventually tutorials that at first sounded like they were in Klingon started making sense and be less intimidating.

The main thing is to keep releasing content when it looks "good enough", instead of trying to learn everying before you make the first few bucks.

ETA: Windows Movie Maker will take you far enough to make money, but for special effects you'll need something like Premiere Pro + After Effects combo.

So....I have a C920 but wanted something that made my clips a bit crisper and the colours more 'realistic' but I didn't want a DSLR as I read they weren't great for clips where the focus changes (I move towards the camera and away quite a bit). I opted for an HD Camcorder instead. I got one that has a hotshoe adapter so that I can add an external microphone at some point. I have to say I love it - really happy with the quality and even using the built in mic the sound is good. And a big thing for me was having a rotatable screen so I could see what I was filming.

Editing...I have tried lots - Windows movie maker was great for basic editing and made my first 2 years of clips just fine. I tried AVS and my laptop just didn't like it, also tried Filmora and couldn't get on with it, in the end I opted for PowerDirector which was amazing value and I got loads of freebies with it.

Greenscreens..I have one. I tried to use it but my room is small and I think you need to stand a little way forward of it to avoid getting a green shadow on you when you chromakey it. Needless to say, Ive not entirely figured that out yet.

Jess, if you treat yourself to an HD mic (I have a blue snowball), you'll really notice the difference in sound quality :)

I'm looking for something with good quality standard lenses, relatively user-friendly, preferably with a screen that you can 'pop out' and see from the other side of the camera. External mic input would be a bonus.

NOT a webcam, thanks.

Camcorder, DSLR, or similar, please.

What would you recommend? Thanks so much :)

I use a c920, and have to constantly be mindful to speak loud, (same as what I use for live camming). I got a generic gopro mimic for Xmas, which was $75 and shoots 4K, it is terrible though, and was a total waste of money. The c90 is way better, and has way better quality. I make decent enough money with just that though i.e. average $1500/mo just clips. After reading this thread, I think I will just buy an external mic though, as I am asked to speak up a lot, when I live cam. I have also had to reshoot countless clips because of not speaking loud enough, which is a total pain in the ass. A mic would make things a lot easier. I don't do any special effects, and I only use wondershare video converter, and avs video remake suite. Each one was about $50 for a lifetime license. However, I did have some difficulties and ended up just rebuying, when I got a new laptop. I think I lost my initial registration key/ code for one of them though. With all of the updates, I could have probably just got by with Wondershare, at this point. Before the updates, it was missing some key features that I wanted though.

Until you get a new mic maybe try out an editing software that allows audio edits you nay nit have use for the audio effects but just being able to decrease and increase remove the occasional car honking and other random noise by me shooting primarily on a busy street has helped tremendously.

*I have a canon dslr and cracked one lens doing clips. pissed me off bc its not cheap to replace a lens. I also have a Nikon DSLR*

For Clips:
I have used iphones for years and usually the rear cam bc I like to see me. I have a nifty tripod for it. Not cheap, didn't break the bank and not huge.
Using the rear camera is nice and it gives good quality video but annoying to me.
I use imovie to edit/watermark
Its mobile and not chunky.

Recently bought the canon N2 bc it has better specs than the iphone.
I can record from the N2, use my phone as the control button, it saves to canons app, I edit it from my phone and then store in a cloud. Those videos never make their way to my computer. I can dl from the cloud if need.
The N2 perk for me : I can see my ass shaking from the phone instead of looking up to the N2 making sure I am in the frame. Its almost as small as a gopro but has a flip up viewfinder.
The N2 downfall is the battery kills quick. I bought it for 100.00, I wanted to try it. I love it so I bought more batteries.

C922
I have been using the c922 for the past year and using filmora to record the clip.
I use filmora for everything on the computer, convert sm shows, extract photos from it, watermark, same crap I do from my iphone.
I hate using webcams bc of the cord limits, dragging the laptop to another room, just trifling.

I cried like a baby the day I broke that lens.
Broke a goddman lens for 100.00 clip that I made 80.00 off of but really -600.00
I was quick to put down the DSLR.
I also appreciate small. Im not doing a major production.

camgirl clips from webcams look so much clearer than some of the "porn sites". Ive been offered a few gigs that were turned down simply bc my IPHONE or WEBCAM look much better than the "production company" They show off their cameras so its not just the camera that makes good clips, lighting is very very important and knowing what you are doing with that dslr.

Hello. I read through this thread but maybe I am computer "stupid." I really want to start producing clips, videos, and zip picture sets. I have a MacBook pro, an Iphone 6, and a HD Logitech C930e. I do not have any software on my computer that I can even do pictures or videos using my webcam. Anyone have a Mac? If so, what software do you use to take pictures and videos with your webcam? If anyone with a Mac is experienced and willing to teach me how to edit, watermark, and produce content using my tools - I would be a happily willing and paying student! Thank you so much all.

Ok, you have your cam on your Macbook pointing at you like for a skype show, or to cam on a site. Go to Applications, open up Quicktime. Then to File> New Movie Recording. You see the red button on the middle/ bottom of the screen which should show you sitting in front of your laptop now, this is where you start to record. Save the file when you are done, then you can edit in IMovie.

For amateurs like myself:
1. What software is everyone using to compress their files?
2. What software is the easiest to apply editing and filters to improve the model's appearance?
3. Watermarking software?

Hello! What is the Iskysoft you use specifically? I looked for it in the App store but there are several versions. I just want an easy to use video editing software to cut, compress, and apply filters/different lighting etc. to videos I create. A water marker wouldn't be bad either!

Who knows how good the Canon EOS 7D Mark II is? On the Internet, people respond differently about her

And is 4k important for shooting a video?

UPDATED:

After searching, choosing a good camera was a problem. Especially when I'm limited in the budget.

Has stopped on Panasonic LUMIX FZ80 because of ease of use. Has already bought and I'm happy.

Don't worry about quality when you first get started. These guys will buy anything. Go with quantity first. The more content you pump out, the more you are going to be seen and the more sales you will get. Trust me. It truly works. Try it for a month. Pump out 2-4 clips (5-10 min in length) a day Monday-Friday or for the whole week if you want.

I have been told by many of my customers that the effects I used to put on videos was off-putting. They don't like the skin smoothing filters or darkening effects. I even used voice filters once to tone down my treble and they hated it. I stopped using any kind of filter or video effect and I've only noticed increases in multiple clip purchases.

I film with a Canon Rebel T3i using a program thru my Macbook so I can preview the screen in a larger version due to my bad eyes. Then I upload the video to my PC and use Adobe Premiere Pro CC 2018 to edit. I use a 5 second image I created in Photoshop as an intro and 2 5-second outro images that promote my email address, Twitter handle, OnlyFans, and custom requests. I also have a watermark that says 'Ms Construed' all throughout the video. I like Premiere Pro because I can save a file with all the intro, outro, and watermark and just import the video I want to edit. It's been quick and clean for me. I used to use Final Cut Pro for years, but I don't think I'd ever go back now.

Premiere! On Adobe site you can find a tutorial for every action you can do with it. Is so worthy to get a hang of it. With trial and error you'll find the right balance with the settings to compress your file in the best convenient ways for your needs.

I heard good things about DaVinci Resolve (basic version is free!) ooks bomb, want to try it next.

My issue is I cam at my desk and I want to have the ability to 1) record on a hand held for ease of set up 2) see the screen if it's pointed directly at me (flip viewer maybe?) . I bought Screenflow to edit my live feeds but the quality was too high and it created an excessively large file that I was too stupid to learn how to edit. 3) I am looking for software that basically applies a "snapchat" type filter to my videos without an excessive amount of effort. 4) Compresses my videos easily for export.

Anyone....anyone...

I found the magic bullet suite and am using it with adobe premiere. I found a tutorial where you basically create a blur layer manually for skin smoothing, but the magic bullet does everything for you plus a whole bunch mofe so i opted to purchase that.

The adobe encoder compresses.

Checkout Filters For Cammodels (https://admin.boleynmodels.com/ref?page=blog/snapchat-filters-for-cammodels-and-live-streaming/&campaign=12&affToken=NTc2) I tried out Snap Camera. I'm also in contact with someone who can make LUTS and all sorts of cool stuff. He'd like to start working with Cammodels but I wanna make sure he's not some creep who'll ask for nudes. Watch this space...
