Aight peeps. What do we want? My list so far for an app is
- daily/weekly/monthly goal tracker with amt/% completed and amt/% to goal (for both each income source and overall)
- amount earned by source
- time online
- possibly with some kind of expenses thing
- option to input a tax savings rate
- pretty colours
- a way to export the data to your computer if you are so inclined
- the ability to send you an email when you are more than X% behind with less than X% of month left to tell you to haul ass (I am only half kidding)
Other ideas?
I want all these things too...
Plus:
Ability to enter the deposits I recieved by different sources and have it add all the funds for YTD (year to date)
Reminders to remind you to get online at scheduled time/whatever, to upload a clip, or to do the booked shows or to tweet (which I suck at the most, HA!)
Unlock the app by passcode and fingerprint
Notifications
Contact book for camming purposes - custies, site/studio support, and camming friends
Sync with Google drive, Dropbox, Computer, or whatever
Notes
Maybe a folder to list camming/clip sites with login info and stuff - with a passcode
And this may be a fucking far fetched, but...
ADD CHATZY or a chatroom to app!
Oh and I would totally pay this for $9.99, the exclusive rate. lol

Ooh, and the ability to mark amounts earned as paid/received so that you can see totals of how much you've got as well as how much money is on the way. That'd be super sweet :D

i have three spreadsheets, a daily one where i add income as i earn it. at the end of each day i transfer the total to my weekly sheet. at the end of my week i transfer that total to my monthly sheet. It tells me my target, % achieved, hourly rate etc and im in love with it haha, makes accounts so much easier too

Don't forget to calculate hourly for each different source. It'd also be nice to have some graphs.
I found this one, calculated hourly wage for different jobs and you can see how much you worked and made in different days and different places etc. but it's only for android :/

Oh shit, I just read through the second page of this and was concocting a plan to design the app myself (I also do mobile app design) but Bootsie is all over it. I'd probably take forever because camming just pays so much better ^__^
Also, Tsani I sent you an email on CC but I thought I'd ask if you have updated for 2015?
If not, I'd even pay you for a rush job (suuuuuper broke but I can eat less).

Replied to your email, but I'll also respond here since I've been asked a few times.
I feel so bad that I haven't been able to update the spreadsheet yet. :( Those who have read my thread in verified regarding my cam retirement know that my health has been not so great lately (not willing to go into too many details out here in the open). Anyways, not trying to make excuses, I know I should just buckle down and get it done. No need to pay me for a rush job, this is something I've said I was going to have done by now.
I'm planning on making the new spreadsheet so that it can be used every year without needing to be updated. I'll leave the space where the dates go blank so that y'all can enter those yourselves as needed and I'll make room to accommodate 6 week months. I know that makes it less convenient, but it'll make it so that it doesn't need to be updated each year, as I have no idea what the next year or the year after will bring for me.
Anyways, long story short: I suck, my health sucks, I'm going to make this a priority and get off my lazy sore ass and get this done ASAP for you awesome bb's!

If you ladies are looking for a 2015 version of Tsani's amazing spreadsheet, I have one! :)
I downloaded the 2014 version but updated it for my own use since I couldn't find the "official" 2015 release!
**Edit** I didn't add the 6 week thing to it though, since I don't know how >___> I just updated the weeks/days that are grayed out
I hope it's ok with you Tsani if I post a link to it here?

Of course it's ok! I'm all about y'all doing whatever you want with the spreadsheet, I made it to help bb's however that may be. Y'all can change it and post it wherever you want.

Here's the 2015 version of Tsani's awesome spreadsheet - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NhzB3_VMFptu-QTyAsAb9lHbrPa5-ElrGt90WImFwlc/edit?usp=sharing
And here's CurvyWinona's spreadsheet that allows 3 sources, I updated it for 2015 as well by adding Week 53 and labeling the months/days because I'm bad at keeping track of weeks - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MLxxrHjqefPAhafF-nwCGr0eRdKwl3N9FtU4UU3mocM/edit?usp=sharing

This is still the 2014 version.
I checked, it is 2015... Am I missing something?
Anyway, I added couple things to the 2015 version. The average hour on bottom will be completed after you enter all months the hours you worked. So, you get the average for the whole year. Also, the goal for the whole year and you can see if you have met the goal or not.

It looks like the first page is 2015, but if you go to the month tabs, it's still 2014. January is at least. I didn't check the other ones.

I've been trying to throw together the "works every year" version of the spreadsheet that I keep saying I'm gonna put out but it's kind of a big job and I've been pretty busy lately because of the holidays. I know, I put it off to the last minute again. Anyways, I anticipate having that one out by the end of next week (fingers crossed). The years just fly by so quickly lately and I got tired of worrying about getting them updated every year and I never do so I figured I should make one that you can just copy and clear out to reuse every year. If you want to modify it yourself to work with 2016, please do :)
Also I'm working on a tutorial blog post for a new super cool tool that I found that's like a cross between excel and a database for tracking earnings.

I love your spreadsheet Tsani. I got it in 2014 and I just edit a new copy at the beginning of each year to reflect the proper days/dates

I'm such a spreadsheet illiterate and I can't figure out how to modify Tsani's spreadsheet for 2016. Will anyone be kind to share the 2016 version with me pretty please :) heheheeee
Staples
01-03-2016, 01:55 AM
I can't figure out how to modify it with like a forumla or anything that does it quickly (I think because I use it in Open Office and not Excel). I do it all manually. I'll send you a copy when I'm done. I'm about halfway through the year. I'll be finishing the rest while I cam tonight.
Tsani
01-03-2016, 01:55 PM
Yes, it's all done manually, which is why I always put off updating it every year lol. I stopped using that spreadsheet to track my own income when I took that year and a half or so off of camming. I'm back now though and I will make a new spreadsheet for those who want to continue using it, but it'll be a universal one that can be used every year and if you want dates in it you'll have to put them in yourself (I'll leave spaces for that). If staples wants to be so kind as to send me a copy of hers when she's done that I can put up on my site for y'all to download like with the 2014 one, that would be awesome, but if not that's cool too. I'm hoping by the end of the week to have at least my new universal one up for download.
For those of you wondering what the awesome tool was that I found for tracking earnings that I mentioned in my above comment, it's airtable.com. It's got more functionality than excel as it's more like a database and requires way less setup since you just basically add data to it and use it to sort the data and create reports to analyze it, etc. I'll be eventually writing up a tutorial on how to use it to track your income and time worked since I don't think it allows you to share a table (they call them bases) with others without having everyone editing the same "base". I could experiment with that though or ask their super helpful customer service people if there's a way to save it as a template for sharing. I've figured out how to make it so that you can enter the time you started a shift and the time you stopped, and it automatically calculates your hours worked so you can factor that in to your average per hour. That's also helpful if you want to analyze whether you do better at a certain time of day or day of the week or whatever. They also have an iPhone app with plans for android and iPad apps coming soon.

Thank you Staples you're awesome :)
And thank you Tsani for working on that universal spreadsheet. It will really makes things easy for someone like me who can't work a spreadsheet to save her life.
Happy new year ladies!

I would try to build one, as this is fairly simple functionality. But you have to pay so much to submit apps to the app store, and even then they may not get approved, so it's hard to get the apps onto people's actual phones. A double bind.
I'd totally support a crowdfunding effort for an app like this & I imagine many cammers would.

I finally finished the "works every year" universal version yayyyyy!!! It also has some improvements that I implemented from suggestions in this thread. Here's the link to the updated blog post with the download link in it: http://camconcierge.com/free-earnings-and-goal-tracking-spreadsheet/
Let me know if anyone wants me to make any changes to it. It's in Excel format but it should be able to be opened up in Open Office and imported to Google Docs if needed.
