Smoothies are my life (camming and not). I got a good smoothie bottle with a screw on cap attached instead of a cup so I don't get a smoothie mustache or spill it. With smoothies you can take a swig between custies just like you would some water, but you can get lots of nutrients from it. I put in my favourite fruits, spinach, almond milk and protein powder. For on cam I'd recommend banana over berries so you don't have blueberry stained teeth.

I also try for snacks that can be sexily eaten on cam. I used to eat a lot of bananas on cam, or strawberries dipped in nutella or an apple I'd lick and put between my tits and such.

I would love, love, love, any and all suggestions on what to eat, and snack on while camming/clips/pso, social media, advertising, etc.
I don't know how to cook, so I find myself eating the same things day after day...i.e.. frozen dinners, and sandwiches, and nuts for snacks.
I would like to be able to 'whip' up some easy, quick and filling dishes, that I could make, and then freeze for the week.
I live alone, my budget is between $70- $100 per week for groceries, if that helps.

I work, all combined jobs, between 60-70 hours every week, so I would really enjoy some help with this. Something that will add variety and better nutrition when I do eat.
I know a lot of You are mothers, and have hubbys to feed also, (or going to school), and are strapped for time, so I'm hoping you can give offer some suggestions on how to maintain energy through eating.
I'm sure I could search online, but I really would like advice from other cam ladies, since we are all in the same boat when it comes to our time restraints.
Thanks so very much in advance!

Learn to cook - with the amount of stuff out there between cookbooks and youtube videos. you really should learn to cook.

That is what I did when I was about 20 I got fed up of not cooking and only able to boil water and make noodles, and maybe fry and egg. So I taught myself how to cook. started with my home comfort dishes and now I tend to cook those dishes because I already have an idea what they are suppose to taste like.

Now I am thinking of buying a Wok so I can make stir-frys based on the youtube channel I watch a lot to learn to cook my favorite meals.

You might want to increase your food budget. since you are already working long hours. and fresh foods and good quality fresh foods tend to cost a bit more so your budget might end up being around $200 if you still want to keep your favorite frozen meals into the mix.

Think of it as your own personal experiment like that movie Julie and Julia.

^^Great post. Thanks for those awesome ideas.
Sidenote:When I was given a tour of the apt I'm renting, the landlord spent time in the newly remodeled kitchen, pointing out all the new and improved features.
I sad, " I just need a working dishwasher, and microwave. What I'm REALLY anxious to see are the closets. I'm a bit of a clotheshorse."
He just stood there shaking his head. :O
Lol!
What most people DON'T know about me is that I was a gourmet cook. Shhh.:tapedshut
I did 3 homemade meals ever day , from scratch for my second husband.
Now, I never want to even look at a grocery store, or stove ever again.
Zero interest. I blocked it out of my mind so much that I forgot how to even boil water.:-\

My signature salad I just made.
Cook bowtie pasta and drain with cold water., mix in 2 cans of tuna fish, cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, peppers, dill weed, salt., Mayonnaise.
Delish!
Make enough for 2-3 days.
I have a full size fridge now( have only had a mini one for the last 2 years).
So, I'm going to continue contributing to this thread with great and easy food ideas.
Anyone else have an easy recipe to share?

Not specifically a recipe, but I've been using the allrecipes app a lot recently with substantial luck. you can use the dinner spinner where you select ingredients, prepare time (from 20 minutes to crock pot), & the kind of meal you're after (soup, salad, main, etc.). I've made 3 of their recipes so far and every meal has been fabulous!

Thought I'd share this here. First time I've gotten through all my food prep since I moved, but this is usually done once a week. Saves my lazy ass soooo much. I'm one who'll just skip eating if it's gonna take any amount of time to cook or isn't something I reallllly want. A week's worth of yummy meals & snacks that I love already prepped keeps me on good eating habits!

I started intermitent fasting. Wich means, 16 hours i can't eat.
8 hours of sleep + 8 hours of work = 16 hours :)) No more meal planning for work.
I only eat breakfast, before workout and the lunch after workout.

If I feel super hungry, i might eat a fruit or smoothie.

I love intermittent fasting. I always just naturally ate that way and so now I just have a name for it. The only thing I struggle with is when I am PMSing and I go crazy for carbs and sugar. Normally I have no issue with sugar but for a couple days every month Im a disaster!

Im thinking about trying to eliminate all grains and fruits and eat a keto diet or a paleo diet as well but I cant imagine not drinking wine.Have you taken on anything like that? How often do you eat during your eating times? Inormally eat twice with maybe one snack in between.

Ooh yay! More intermittent fasters.

What sort of eating window do you adhere to, DeepThoughts?

Mine is more Warrior Diet style - so won't eat anything until 3 pm when I'll have homemade vegetable soup or something, then a big meal in the evening. It keeps me happy and slim. I find whenever I slip up, or try the little and often method, I just balloon..when I eat, the floodgates open, and I don't want to stop lol. I am thinking of starting doing all day fasts though (nothing til dinner) or alternate day fasting as I actually find it easy to not eat anything than to start picking (it just makes me ravenous) and also so I have a bit more flexibility on "down" days. Probably best not to do consecutive days, as that's when metabolic damage seems to occur..X

I had to look up Warrior Diet. Its really just intermittent fasting. I dont really ever gain weight but there was a time when I started forcing myself to eat three meals a day with snacks in between to support the exercise routine I was following because that was what I was told I was suppose to do. The result was that I started binge eating. I would go to the store and buy a shit ton of chocolate bars, icecream and chip then sneak them into the house and just sit and eat it all in one go. I couldnt understand it but something about starting to eat made me want to eat all the time so I really get what your saying.

All my life I skipped breakfast and lunch and ate in the late afternoon and then dinner only and I have always been told that it was wrong and metabolism and blah blah blah but it suits me fine and Im super thin with huge tits so it seems my body is happy. I normally try to eat around my working schedule so I work all morning and day but at about 4pm my time it dies down and then I will go to walk my dogs and eat something. Usually I eat breakfast cause I really like breakfast foods so I will have eggs or crepes or porridge and then dinner at 8 or 9. My husband eats only once a day and its dinner. He doesnt know anything about intermittent fasting he has just always eaten only dinner so in this way we mesh. If I do 24 hours with out food I get a migraine so I wont do an all day fast. Im big in listening to my body. I need veg soup recipes though. Now reading what you wrote Im wanting veg soup!!

As an added bonus Im a very hard core deepthroater on cam and in porn and intermittent fasting works so well with that. Never any accidents ;)

You sounds very similar in terms of me to eating habits! I've definitely slipped up though, mainly listening to fitness "experts" advocating the little and often approach. It's great to hear that this sort of diet is working out for you and your husband, makes me more inclined to stick with it rather than listening to conflicting advice! I love breakfasts foods too. I don't normally gt headaches, I think for me alternate day fasting would be hard mentally, more than anything else.

on days i work long i just wake up and make one big dish i will eat through the day. usually its chickpeas, cucumbers, tomatoes, onion, apple cidar vinegar, olive oil. plenty of nutrients protein and fat. ill add other random veggies, avoocado, herbs and spices depending on my mood. it seems pretty boring but seasoning it different really doesnt make me feel like im eating the same thing and i feel energized and satisfied ( plus its very fast)

Could any of you ladies recommend a top-notch, detoxifying green juice for me to consume at the end of my fast?

I am attempting to eat vegan during the week from now on and see how I go..Focusing on vegetables mainly. I'm not looking for meat substitutes though, as for the time being I won't follow it at weekends. There is a lot of information out there but I find some of the recipes a bit too fussy for everyday. I am not a snacker but if any of you vegans could recommend any meals which are simple to put together I'd be really grateful. I love salads, and anything with strong flavours - garlic, lemon, smoked paprika etc.

I am going to give this a go on Wednesday. I had it at a Moroccan restaurant and I found it absolutely divine!

Heated up pizza from last night for lunch today but I really need to juice fast again!

Yes Arwen, I did Joe Cross' reboot for 60 days a while back. You can make Joe's mean green - kale, a head of celery, 1 cucumber, 4 apples, 1 lemon, and a piece of ginger. I use a bag of spinach instead of kale, about 250g I think.

More green juices here - http://www.rebootwithjoe.com/tag/green/

Also look into getting yourself some MSM. Its super awesome at detox for the body. I take it everyday to ward off my allergies and its awesome for that but its great for so many other things and will really detox your kidney and liver. Plus its cheap as chips and safe as water!

Ha ha about the pizza!

Yes he did cure himself, and the guy in the first movie too - Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. It's worth a watch and may be free on youtube.

I bought his books and joined the community on his website. I had fibromyalgia and someone suggested I try his reboot juice fast, I was diagnosed in 2014 and after watching his movie felt that if anything was going to cure it, that would (it is otherwise incurable). I bought myself an expensive juicer, the £300 Sage, to make myself stick to it, decided that Tescos had the cheapest and widest range of organic food (no point pumping myself full of pesticides when I'm trying to detox) ans I took spirulina too as it's good for getting rid of heavy metals, which my kinesiologist detected. After the first week I had more energy, after 3 weeks I was pain free. I did the whole 60 days which is what Joe did, and eventhough I have regained weight and gone back to old eating habits, I have been symptom free for 3 years now!

At the beginning of his 2nd movie there is a girl saying that the fast cured her fibromyalgia too. I think it's an illness of the mitochondria, which my Dr says many believe it is, and this fast gives your body purely what it needs to detox and heal itself. I lost 30 pounds in that 60 days, which was less than most loss. Any cheating seems to stop weight loss I found but I rarely did cheat, cooking dinner for my family was hard!

I have done shorter reboots since and I feel so much better, more energy, lighter, less fluid retention (my face looks better in no time), I sleep better too, sight and thinking is clearer.

MSM works very well for eczema too. We don't have enough sulphur in our soil.

After the 60 day reboot juice fast, Joe Cross continued on a plant based diet (low carb) until he was completely rid of his condition. There are meals on his website too. I followed those after my fast too but only for a few weeks as I then went on holiday...

04-24-2017, 06:12 AM
Ah thanks so much, ladies - you have put me in an awesome mood - let shopping commence!

That is wonderful to hear of the effects on your Fibromyalgia. I am quite interested in auto-immne disease and I had some of those sort of symptoms last year (turned out to be anxiety-related. Have you heard of Terry Wahls? She's inspiring. She does consume meats and organ meats but the focus is still very vegetable heavy (seems to be a common feature in the best eating habits). If you want to have a look at her TED talk, it's a great watch.

I probably mentioned this previously but before I hop on cam I make sure I meal prep for a day if I know I'll be hustling. That way I heat up during break times, eat, and get back on. Most of my meals consist of a veg and a protein anyway so I feel fuller longer and it's still healthy. Water, too.

I also have snacks like sesame seed crackers and cracker barrell cheese or yogurt or fresh fruit, nom. I'll admit I go through my organic frozen foods first when working because all you do is pop it in the microwave. I try not to meal prep too much because I get bored and might vere off track or late night fast food binges.

Anyone here on a low carb, high fat diet or Ketogenic Diet? What's your "go-to meal" you can prep that won't cause any bloating?

DeepThoughts

^^ I was just on a ketogenic diet. I missed and I didnt notice any benefits but its something I filed away incase I, or a loved one gets ill (touch iron) My go to meal when I was on keto was cheese. Cheese is still my bitch but I had like 5 or 6 different kinds of cheese and I would just eat that with pickles or cheese and tomatoes and lots of cheese and olives or I would make my self a picking platter of all those things but when I am camming and I get hungry and want to break my fast but dont want to cook I went to cheese!

Home made cheese is the best! There is also lunch meat and cheese on a slice of cucumber or rolled around a pickle with some mustard. Tuna fish salad on Romain leaves is yummy and quick. Boiled and pickled eggs are great snacks, but they go fast in this house.

Oh also a few spoons of ricotta or cottage cheese are a great snack.

After being on kept for a while you get less hungry, so I don't think there's as much of a bloating and overeating issue. For me the main bloating I get comes from eating wheat products.

I need to get my act together...I was all set to have a full day of camming today, and it's payday for many in the UK so I was hopeful, but I felt too ill. I realised that it was probably because I had too much butter on my baked potatoes last night and now that I have had my gall bladder removed, I have to be careful about fats. Ugh...really shot myself in the foot. I have to get back into healthy eating and shift weight too but struggling to reach that point of putting it into action!

Teddy_Bear
05-29-2017, 06:00 PM
I've started cooking my dinner before my shift, waiting for it to cool and then placing it in the fridge for when I'm finished, it cuts down on cooking when I'm exhausted so much and I have my lovely food to look forward to, which pushes me to work even harder. Quick snack or light meal before I log on and I'm good to go for 8 hours before my tummy starts rumbling through free chat.

Perfect.

Anyone have any veggie or vegan recipes I can make in a slow-cooker? Or a favourite veggie recipe blog, or something?

Girlfriend has gone veggie, and my usual approach of "chop up whatever veg the greengrocer has, dump it in the pot, add chicken & spices, and wait 6 hrs" doesn't work any more. :(

She's normally the chef, but I'd like to surprise her with something tasty when she comes back from a trip.

No but seriously if anybody has healthy but nutritious lunch ideas give them to me. No diet food, I am gaining weight so I am not afraid of carbs and fat. But no junk food. I am sick of ordering Dominos and Subway and eating Mac and cheese.

I always get cranky and tired on cam if I am hungry and in need of sugars and caffeine.

Stock your freezer with foods from Amy's Kitchen. You can find these items everywhere. I have seen their food items at Whole Foods, Sprouts, Walmart, Target, Kroger, Publix, etc. I usually eat something from them for lunch. I've been doing this probably for the last 12 years. My husband works outside of the home, and he takes their food to work for lunch each day. I usually eat one of their meals with a nice big green salad and I am satisfied.

Visit www.amys.com (http://www.amys.com) to see a full selection of their food products. Their meals are very affordable. Depending on where you shop, they range from about $3 - $5. All of their food is vegetarian. They even offer organic and gluten free meals too.

Another company I love is called Path of Life. I love quinoa. This is my go to grain! I do not eat white rice EVER!!! Sometimes I will eat brown rice. But quinoa is really where it is at in terms of nutritious whole grains. Path of Life makes a variety of frozen quinoa, frozen vegetable, and frozen fruit products. You can find them in your freezer section too. I usually find their items at Publix. Their items are also very affordable. They are about $3 - $4.

For a delicious and healthy snack/dessert try their strawberries covered in dark chocolate. Pure heaven!!! You can find this in the freezer section. I usually find it at my neighborhood Publix.

I love this thread. I got so many great ideas from this thread. So thank you.

Breakfast

scramble 8-10 eggs. Put it container:) Every morning I warm up scrambled eggs in the microwave, put a piece of toast in the toaster oven, take out the toast, put the eggs on the toast then I lastly I throw a piece of cheese on top of the open faced sandwich and melt in the toaster oven.

I have been switching it up lately because I have been doing this for a couple of years now. I have put chorizo in the eggs, top with salsa, green peppers. Whatever your little heart desires. Its pretty low carb because the wheat toast I use is about 15 carbs.

This is still a bone of contention with me because camming takes up so many hours of my life and I literally have no time for anything else. I am a carnivore and the boyfriend is a vegetarian/vegan depending on what day of the week it is, so that doesn't help one bit. I can't just stick a casserole on or something because we eat completely different things. We end up eating and often sleeping separately when I am on a camathon kick and it's not a healthy way to live at all.

I just need a personal 24/7 chef around to cook my meals when I'm hungry whether that's at 1AM or 1PM - hmm better get back on cam that could become expensive lol.

There are so many of these ready prepped meal companies that do all of the meal prep for you. No shopping required. All you need to do is put together the ingredients and cook. I usually check out Groupon for deals and almost all of them offer some kind of ridiculously low promotion for a weeks worth of meals. It's absolutely perfect for camathons! Check out one pot pasta's on Pinterest. They're seriously so easy, you just throw everything in a pot and cook for like 20 mins
