"Light therapy" is a catch-all term. It involves lots of different ways of using light to treat lots of different things. In terms of skin/anti-aging therapies, there's LED, IPL, and various lasers. As far as I'm aware, efficacy in highest-lowest order is laser, IPL, LED -- but even LED treatment isn't exactly weak. In a study involving 31 participants, 52% (16 participants) were proven to show improvement after eight weekly LED treatments.

How about the at-home LED? Anyone had experience with that?

The only home red light LED device that I know the name for is a NuFace Trinity attachment.

Ohh I'm so curious about this NuFace device! I remember a frequent poster saying great things about it a couple of years ago.

Yeah, I remember the exact post you're talking about because it's the one that made me look into it. I think hers was probably the older model, considering the time frame I checked it out and I think she posted about it like a year or two before I did. Still haven't tried it myself, but am dying to.

I always wonder about the at home things because they are way weaker than what's used at a spa. but if there's a good one out there i'm game. I bought the wand one years ago.it's like the oxygen thing they use at spas before a facial. I sent it back and had a hell of a time getting my momey back. I wish the girl who got microneedling would respond because i want to try it. If it's the same as the one they do where i go and they use your plasma.

Ooooh here is a video of someone using the NuFace. The results make me want to buy it yesterday!
(She doesn't actually start using it until around 13 minutes in)

It's a highly rated prod., according to New Beauty mag. :)

Yeah, it's apparently highly rated just about anywhere that rates these sorts of gadgets.
I've thought of trying the no!no! FaceTrainer, but it seems like it might damage the skin's attachments to the underlying tissues.

Well, that'd be a No!No! then..sorry couldn't resist that one
I heard something negative about the brand..a personal source, but they said the co.'s in litigation?

Considering their major product, I'm not the least bit surprised. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with their hair removal device, just critical of people. I wonder how many times providers/advertisers for laser hair removal have been sued because it's not really permanent removal? It's kinda in line with that.

So- I got bangs :) I still intend to do 'something' I'm looking into cosmetic acupuncture and microneedling. Keen to try AHA and some peels.

Because it's not very invasive. You need stronger stuff for better results. Botox is not cheaper than upkeep. Getting peels and a series of ipl. Or laser. In the long run will keep you from getting botox so early. I love how girls in their 20's justify when they haven't been around enough to see the results of atrophying a muscle will do 10 years down the line. There is fillers for fine lines. I love filler. Botox makes people in their 20's look old like kim k or meagan fox. There's nothing there to work on. Anyways, the red light was ok but I prefer ipl , deep peels and llaser. I also use 50 sunscreen everyday whether i go outside or not. I'm not against botox in your late 30's 40;s but your putting a poision in your body and not preventing shit not to mention bacterial proteins. If you do things that really prevent wrinkles in your 20's you won't have to worry about botox until later in life...
I do microneedling, I can't recommend it enough, I look ten years younger, just important to get a retexturing CIT (the name for it, Collegen Injection Therapy), it goes much deeper than the rollers you do at home and the downtime is only 1 day. Seriously, I've had deep forehead wrinkles since I was a teenager and now it's as smooth as a babies bottom. I've done 5 treatments and they use my pic to sell the procedure, THAT'S how frigging amazing it is.
