I run, five to six days per week. I am working on a five minute mile right now. That governs my training schedule.

wow, 6 days per week! I want to start running, but I'm too lazy to get up early :(

Myfitnesspal is definitely the way to go. I tried fitbit, but I wanted heart monitor, so I went with Garmin Vivofit. Cheaper on Amazon. It will sync your steps with Myfitnesspal and give you a daily goal. And, it will NOT buzz you every 45 min like a fitbitch.

I joined Lifetime https://www.lifetimefitness.com/en.html and by far it is the best facility I have ever seen. I go 6 days a week to clock 3 miles then weights/machines for core, or legs, or upper. They have a program called myCoach where a trainer will meet with you once a month to work up a plan and monitor your progress.

The classes are included in the affordable membership and will kick ass. The only complaint I have is that it is 98% young women in my club and they are all kick ass in shape and the classes are full. https://www.lifetimefitness.com/en/programs-and-events/fitness/group-fitness.html You can see they primarily target younger women as a demographic.
So I went with MyCoach plan

Holy shit, that is fast fast. I ran track in High school and barely went sub 5 when I was 18. Cheers for you and I hope you hit it. Post when you do for kudos.

Which fitbit did you get was it the charge or flex? I'm still trying to decide which brand I want

If you like myfitnesspal you will love mynetdiary, same premise but I thought the features were way better

I brainfarted.. I got an iFit initially not fitbit.

I chose a Garmin Vivofit with the heartband after discussion with my trainer, she uses the Garmin and that's what I bought. I want to actively monitor heartrate for calorie count and and cardio level during workouts. Plus she is a friend on myfitnesspal and can review my stats. No charging weekly like most because the battery lasts for at least 1 year. Also seems to be more accurate for its tracking. More waterproof.

They have a lot of color choices etc.

Myfitnesspal will interface with most devices.
