Audrey, I really feel for you. You must feel practically violated. We hear so much on here about how "you're always gonna wish you'd gone bigger!!!11!!!", and it seems like your surgeon took some 'poetic license' by assuming you'd want a similar result (bigger bigger BIGGER).

I think what you're running into here is the difference between a discounted re-do and a lawsuit. If you had the time, money, and emotional resources (plus documentation wherein your doctor agreed to only take you up to a certain size), you could sue him and likely wouldn't have to pay a dime for the re-do. However, from his perspective, since he isn't being sued, he's giving you a great deal by giving you what's essentially an at-cost surgery.

I'm very thankful that you've continued to share your story here on SW, so that girls looking to get BAs in the future have at least one perspective from someone who wished she'd received a smaller BA.

I had the same issue. My surgeon recommended 425 cc for my first BA to achieve the DD's I wanted, I should have just listened to him but after reading many forums and talking to different people, and how so many girls wish they have went bigger, girls with 600 cc - 1000 cc finding them too small, I went with 575 cc, the biggest my surgeon could fit. I regretted it so much, I am so happy I got a re-do, I downsized to 425 cc lol and it's plenty enough.

Well he'd have a hard time charging me $8,000 considering the original surgery itself was less than $5,000.

I agree Charlie, I think the difficult part is besides the size, he did do a good job. It's not like I could say my nipples are lopsided, or my boobs are uneven, or there's some really obvious problem-- they're just not the size I wanted, not the size I told him I wanted, and he even said to me "you know, most surgeons would probably not discount you because you they look great but I want you to be happy so I'm willing to help you." Oh thank you so much, so kind of you for dropping your fee to fix a boob job that YOU fucked up in the first place because you don't give a shit what your patients actually want. Even during the consult he seemed like he could give a shit I was unhappy. He had no idea who I was and just kept repeating "you have a beautiful result." Well, thank you dude, but it's not about what you want.

It just frustrates me because I was SO clear about what I wanted for this surgery. I showed him dozens of photos. I discussed EXACT ccs with him, I debated high profile vs mod plus implants. I know a lot of girl just go into and say "oh I want bigger boobs" but I REALLY researched this beforehand and I still remember waking up from the surgery and asking him how many CCs he had done and him saying "525" and texting my boyfriend and being so upset that he had chosen to completely disregard my wishes of NOT going over 500. We had been discussing something in the 400 range, and yes I want to drop to more like 300ccs, but if he had gone with 400 I think I would feel like, OK they're a little bigger than I wanted, but whatever, not really worth going under the knife again.

My boyfriend told me I should email some of the surgeons I was speaking with before I decided on him and see what they would charge me for a re-do-- maybe I will find someone who will do it cheaper and can argue a lower price with him, or if it turns out to be a surgeon that I really like, I could even just go with him. I'm going to address it with his secretary and see if I can get him to drop it down a bit or at least drop the deposit aspect so I can book the surgery now and just focus on trying to saving up the cost for it. When it's all done I'll be writing him a pretty nasty review on any plastic surgery forum I can find.
