I am all snuggled in bed at my parents house surrounded by four dogs (yes, four) and it's pretty awesome.

Edit: one of them has thrown up six times today.

Grateful that it's the last day of the year, and I'm ahead with my finances.
That I can pay my rent easily, and have a cozy, warm home to live in during this cold weather.
Last year at this time I had just lost my home, and thought I would be homeless.
I kept wondering where I would be in a year.:-\
Thankful that I kept the faith.

A friend on the east coast skyped with me last night and we followed a youtube video together on doing a fancy makeup look. First time I've ever done that and her and her boyfriend were hilariously drunk for New Years. Grateful for friends who will put in the effort to cheer me up and make my NYE fun and different even from almost 1000 miles away.

I'm grateful for some rest and respite at a friends place for last two days, and the upcoming few days a friend will spend with me.

I am feeling really good about 2016. It's not overconfident optimism or wishful daydreams like I usually get sometimes. I just really believe, wholeheartedly, that this year is going to be really productive, and great things will happen. I feel like I'm in a really good mental place. I don't even know why I feel so good about things, but it sure beats the SAD I usually get around January. I'm grateful for this feeling as long as it lasts.

I'm grateful to live a life that lets me have an "everything's going to hell" meltdown at 12pm and pick up the pieces again at 2pm, without, you know, getting fired or arrested.

I'm grateful that I don't have to dance right now and hopefully won't have to ever again (fingers crossed!) I'm not working at all right now..just staying home with my little boy and it's fucking awesome...Coloring all day, playing with trains and watching Disney movies...I'm living the dream. Of course I have to start camming when we move next month/have more rent and bills to pay, but I'm enjoying this while it lasts.

I didn't leave my keys on the train (my worst nightmare). They were sitting safely on my desk, thank god.

Babysat my friend's kids for 8 full hours today for the first time (first time doing it for so long, not first time babysitting them), and they were actually pretty good. Not super exhausting and not little turds. Thank god. The youngest is also finally at the age where he can play with crayons and stuff and I don't have to be concerned about him choking on shit every 30 seconds. Yay!

I got a brand new phone (newest iphone), and put new batteries in my bathroom scale today to realize that in the last few weeks of not having them, I have actually hit my goal weight! I could still realistically lose 5-10 pounds and not be considered underweight for someone my height, but I seriously never thought I would even be able to lose the last few pounds to get here. I was feeling pissy about today, but it's actually been a really great weekend. I also made almost 2k just yesterday, and can stay up late tonight watching silly anime and getting high/drunk because I can totally sleep in tomorrow for the first time this week. Lots of gratitude for this evening! (If only the Packers had won yesterday, I'd be all set lol)

OH! And, as of a gift yesterday, I have almost $200 in Amazon gift cards. My brain is spinning. I don't even know what to buy off my wishlist!

Good House Guests!
Wow, self motivated and out of my hair ! We had such a great mix of time together and them going out on own. So fun ! This is what house crashing is supposed to be !
They were super / overly generous too taking us to dinner twice. They left both the car they used and the area of the house BETTER than when they got here.

Wanted a mini vacation, so I just packed a bag and headed out on the road.
Even though I didn't have hotel reservations, as I was driving I used LOA to see myself checking into my favorite hotel, at a rate I used to get 'off season.
Not only did I get my rate, but I got my favorite suite!
Plus, when they gave me the free breakfast voucher, they made an error, and put 4 instead of 2 days. When I pointed it out, the reservation girl said it was ok...just invite some friends to a free breakfast!
Sooo grateful, because I really wanted this trip, and feel happiest when I'm in this town.

**Adding to my post above...At home the live in maid keeps the tv volume loud from morning till night. It drives me crazy, but she says she's hard of hearing. Yeah, whatever.
I check into my suite and notice the person in the suite next door has the tv blasting.
Instead of getting angry, I Sat with the noise, and just allowed it. I used LOA to stay happy and grateful.
Guess what happened? ALL the cable went out in the entire hotel! Lol!
It was Sooo quiet, that I got the greatest sleep...Ever! Ha! ha!
The cable tv didn't get fixed until noon. Love it!
Plus, when I was shopping at Saks, I met a saleswoman that is also a realtor. She's going to help me get a rental out here.
Sooooo grateful right now.8)

The week I've had and the things I've been able to sort out...two years ago I would have never been able to organize my life like this and I am just so grateful that I had the cash to do everything as well as still have enough left over for bills. Such a good feeling.

I was in a bad mood earlier so my boyfriend made me crepes with Chantilly cream. They were so delicious!

That's right. I'm grateful for crepes and the hot dudes who cook them.

Omg. Grateful my customer came to see me by surprise on my last shift this week, before the storm. Idk how long I'll be out of work with this weather, but if it's gonna be a week off i can def afford it. Phhhheeeew, so grateful.

I'm so grateful for the vegan "chicken" strips that I can get for pretty cheap. They are so delicious and are packed with tons of nutrients. My diet was crap when I first landed here, but now I'm eating pretty good again. I'm so very grateful to live in a country where I can get good quality food.

I'm also just really happy right now. Maybe the winter blues are gone, but I'm feeling the best I've felt in weeks.

I never realized how important it is to find a perfect club fit until I started working in one that's ideal for me. Like, I think a major part of why I burned out so hard was because I was working in clubs that weren't right for me. Now that I've found my current club, working twice a week is easy. I love the staff, dance prices, customer turnover, management. I feel so fucking lucky to have found this club at this time in my life.

It's my second day off in a row to recover from work/an embarrassing injury from pole class. I love when I can just go to class and not be tired and irritated from work.

I was going through an old Chanel wallet today, that I just can't bring myself to throw out, (yet never use).
I found a Saks 5th Avenue gift card that someone at my corporate job years and years ago must have given me.
I checked it out, and its got a balance on it, and is still good! Yezzzz!
Soo grateful!
I was just at a Saks last week while I was out of town. Another reason to go back there.:)

I'm gonna get work out of the way early so if I get a chance to later tonight, I might take it. I'm gonna try to not overdo it, but I'm really lucky to be able to work as much or as little as needed.

Grateful my stud muffin and I have been a good team for our large project ( moving 3000 miles and selling everything to be more nomadic ). He's done a lot of the food planning ( we stopped eating out for the most part to SAVE for this ) and I really would have not been this organized with meals and getting that together without him. He has done 90% of the food prep and cooking. I've done a lot of the stuff selling like ad posting and dealing with the back and forth of it ( there's a lot ). He hates stuff like that. It's great to function as a smooth team with the other one picking up the stuff the other is not so good at.

Today I'm sooooo grateful I don't have to drive anywhere to work. We got like 2 feet of snow, and I'm just enjoying my coffee in my warm house watching people slide all over the road. So happy that's not me today.
