I graduated last week and I'm going on vacation tomorrow. I also exceeded my savings goal for the month of June. Bought the GRE work book because I'm applying for a terminal degree in my field this fall. I have a masters degree, zero debt, and savings, so why the fuck not? I mean I could work in my field with this certification, and I do part time already, this was always my stripper retirement plan... But Professor Stripper has a nice ring to it, no?

I won a contest on FB for 2 free tickets to a
Caribbean themed brunch/party.I just guessed an answer correctly that 40 others got wrong Lol. I remember I used to be very lucky when i was younger winning contests on the radio. Well it made my day.

THANK GOD, I had on my seat belt, tonight, coming home from my storage place..I saw a flashing red stop light, I thought it was out of order.
Nope, they were doing random seat belt checks, even shining flash light into cars::)

Today am grateful for helping to save a tiny kitten. Group work, though. Little one got stuck in a tree, but 3 people today changed her future. I guess her mother died by a car/dog or she was abandoned by an unworthy human.

I'll never forget the time I found $100 on the stage after a lousy ass night. I was like if bubbles don't claim this then it's mine. Well, bubbles never claimed it and I was so happy.
Nice! I found $100 under the tip rail once. Score! Sometimes when I'm bored I troll the floor looking for money. Good places to look: beneath the bar and tip rail. I love finding money! I call them "tips from God" haha!

In law letter grades are not related to the mark % you get but how you perform compared to your classmates... We usually get our grades in numbers before we get the letter mark, it's sometimes confusing because we never know whether the number is a % or the number of points we got on an exam with let's say 70 point sand not 100 unless we memorize the exam. So I see 37 for my final exam, usually final exams are on 100 points LOL I freak out because I never failed a class before and what a surprise to learn it was actually 64% and not 37% but since the class performed so badly I got a B-.... The worst mark so far after my C- last semester (that exam was easy but I didn't study enough, so I didn't do well compared to my classmates and got C- for 79% lol ::)), but at least it wasn't a Fail and I won't have to take that horrible class a second time.

The ability to make an appointment to get birth control at Planned Parenthood. Praise the gods... I got an appointment for tomorrow morning! My old OBGYN always had at least a two week long waiting list. Just hoping my birth control won't be too expensive without insurance.

I really have a great brother. He's been there for me a lot. His car completely broke down last Saturday so he asked to borrow mine til he got another one, I didn't really need the car this week so lent it to him. He got a new used car today, returned mine, he had it cleaned inside and out, filled up the tank too. And I love his new car, a big upgrade to what he had. He deserves it cuz he's a great brother.

I am finally getting my body where I want it to be. The other day, for probably the first time in my adult life I went into a dressing room and liked what I saw in the mirror, with clothes and without.
Super shallow but it felt REALLLLY good. "I'm feeling myself, feeling, feeling myself" :)

I had such a god "mom day". Took kiddo to his hockey game. Had a feeling he was going to score a goal, so I started recording him while he was on the ice. Sure enough, he scored, and I got it on video! After the game, I took a nap. Then kiddo and I went kayaking in the bay near our home. We saw sea lions and pelicans and the weather was perfect and we had so much fun! My Sundays have been awesome lately!

Planned Parenthood was freaking awesome. I got 13 months of birth control for about $275, without any insurance. I asked for a year's supply in advance since I'm going to be out of the country indefinitely, and I doubted they'd be able to do it, but OMG. I am so relieved!

Food in my fridge and a safe, comfy roof over my head. Sometimes we take the simple things like this for granted. I have been seeing a lot of homeless people out there panhandling lately. While some of them may have substance abuse issues that got them into their situation, that's not always the case. When I think back to when I was homeless, I feel grateful for where I am today.

I have the best boyfriend ever! Met at a casino resort yesterday. We gambled and won money and had a couples massage, shower sex, tub love, delicious dinner, lots of making out. He shared his winnings with me and treated me to a nice breakfast too. And we had more sex. I hope I marry him someday. We have too much fun together! He has a beautiful heart, is super smart, sexy and hot, and makes my heart want to burst with joy! On a deeper level...Our connection is incredible. We're always on the same wavelength and we make each other laugh and smile. We can talk about anything. We're twin flames and I feel so lucky, considering what I went through with my father. Baby, I just love you...
So happy I've never settled before, because this is amazing.

My mom helped me pack all my stuff up today, since I used to live in her apartment and now she's moving to a smaller place, plus I'm leaving the country. She was super helpful, and said I didn't have to get rid of it all, just put it in boxes and she'd store it at her new place. I feel sooo relieved because I had been expecting to throw most of it away or give it to Goodwill.

Now that I'm no longer sick and had time to get familiar here I'm really starting to enjoy myself here. I feel really lucky and am so happy. The lifestyle is not hectic like in America, for someone who hasn't had a whole week-end off in years it's so nice to have an easy 8:00 am to 6:00 pm work week and have the week-end off.
Everything is so cheap here and I never spoiled myself so much and eaten so well everyday. At home for a 90-min massag at a reputable spa is close to $200, I've never had a body scrub, wrap or facial since it's so expensive and here I can get a 3-hour treatment with feet wash, body scrub, body wrap, 90 mins massage and body hudrating treatment for less than what I would pay for a 60-min massage at home!!! I'm going to the spa every week while I'm here lol.
The restaurants are so cheap and good, for a $120-150 meal at home, it costs $20-30 here and for non-fancy eating you could get a lot for $2-5-10....! I've been eating so much sea food and drinking too much wine lol, $5 a glass!! The fancy restaurants are quiet here so I usually have almost the whole place to myself during the week.
I am here until the end of August so I will try to make the most out of it while I can! I have so many exciting plans for every week-end. Visiting Angkor Wat next week, then Singapore, Vietnam and Thailand. All this while having a very impressive line on my resume!
I've never really travelled before and this is the first summer ever I do so much. Usually all I do is school and work and it's definitely a nice change from the 8:00 am to midnight daily grind at home (or 3-4 am on nights I work).
I am not sure when I'll come back here. I don't think I wanna start my career here although it was offered to me, I wanna work in America, I enjoy the rat-race, the intensity and I believe it's the only way to be truly good at what you do. I love it right now, but I am too much of a workaholic to wanna do this for months or years. But it's an amazing break after all those years and sleepless nights, the first real summer and vacation I have, and I know it won't happen again before a long time once I start my career to have 7 weeks to myself (would be already hard to have 1-2 weeks off). I know I will be ready for my last year of law school once I fly back!
Also having a lot of time to read and work on myself, I am so grateful. I am so happy to be single instead of settling for men who don't deserve me, I can finally say I made the right choice breaking up. I feel like I am healing from this heartbreak after my ex I couldn't get over after six years. I won't go back to him once I return home. The world is so big, there's so much to explore, so many men and so little time, I finally realize how true that is now that I started travelling. I want to be happy :)

I'm actually glad I bartended this past weekend. I was dreading it, but it ended up being a lot of fun. The suite I worked in this weekend was way more lax on their alcohol rules than when I worked at this venue a couple months ago. I could actually free-pour, pour shots, make doubles, and just be a fun bartender rather than being a buzzkill with all the rules that I had to follow last time. People LOVED the fuck out of me. Several of the people in the suite came up and hugged me and thanked me for making it such an awesome time when they were leaving. And the staff in there just absolutely adored me. Every single one of them, at least 5 times a day, would come up and tell me what an awesome job I was doing, how much they loved me, and how they wanted me back next year. They all wanted my name and how to contact my company so they could request me back. And they tipped me really well, compared to most suites I've worked that maybe throw me 60 bucks at the end of a shift. It was a really fun weekend.

Today I'm grateful I ended my first LTR when I did.
Why- I did some Internet detective work to check on my first boyfriend (I might be moving to his city within a year so I was being on the safe side, not creepy.) I discovered he is the same guy he was when I was with him (a grown man with a high school mentality + tons of other mental issues.)
He was pissed when I left him because his last girlfriend cheated on him for months before she finally moved out. Him (being the caveman he was) assumed I had met someone else & refused to tell him.
Ugh. Seeing his personal info flashed me back to the (literally) scared kid I was when I got with him. He was insanely emotionally abusive & had the morals of a jackal. I only survived being around him because I tuned him out the last year of the relationship & I started to see I could do better.
I PRAY I don't run into him back home. I look different enough now. Anyways I am so grateful I broke away from him. I know women who marry the first loser they meet and it's usually a bad marriage, not the "high school sweethearts" tale we always hear people sing about. I fought hard for my happiness & freedom & I won it.
