Grateful my flight to Paris leaves in an hour. I spent the past few days exploring New York City for the first time... it was amazing. I know I made the right decision in leaving my hometown earlier than planned, because I feel sooo much happier right now. I've been chatting up random strangers, exploring, treating myself to what I want... I needed this so badly. Being cooped up indoors in the desert was killing me inside.

Also grateful that my friend in Prague is letting me stay at her apartment for the month of August. Yay! My accommodations and flights are all paid for for the next month... such a weight off my shoulders. I worked so hard to get here and it's finally paying off.

Grateful for my sweet and thoughtful husband. He doesn't like the dog to sleep in the bed with us but every morning before he leaves he puts the dog in the bed so he can cuddle with me. Our bed is really high and the dog can't get up there on his own. And this morning he also put an ice cold bottle of water with the remote next to it on the bedside table. Basically it felt good to sleep in with my furbaby and watch the today show.

Told a client that I love outdoor exercise. He gave me an Apple Watch Nike +. Thank you! But it's going on eBay, most likely.

Today I'm grateful that weirdo stalker loser finally stopped calling me. My phone's been quiet for over a week now and I'm loving it.

I'm also grateful to see my boyfriend today. I can't wait to hold him. My family, again, has been stressing me out and being in his arms is like being home. Sorry if this sounds sappy but it's true. Idk what I'd dp without him.

I JUST complained about bills in pissy annoyances, but honestly, I can say I'm pretty lucky. I had to suddenly lay down massive deposits for vet treatments, which I wouldn't have had if I hadn't opened a Care Credit line last month. When I did it, I wasn't even thinking I'd use it in the near future. I just thought I'd be preemptive in preparing for possible future plastic surgery if I want it. Now I have it when I need it, which is great.

I also made the last minute decision about 6 weeks ago to take a year off from school. I figured I could squeeze out the tuition but would feel better if I saved for awhile. Now I don't have to worry about tuition and book fees in a couple of weeks while I'm dealing with everything else.

I also know that I make plenty of money - I just raised my rates and it's been received well by new clients in a new location so far - and I also know that there are several regulars I could borrow money from if needed. I have the means to make it through this, and it could be way worse with more monetary obligations on the horizon or no credit when I needed it. So really, considering the timing of things, I'm very lucky and I'm thankful for that.

Grateful that I hung out with some people today. It was much needed!!

Also, grateful that I was able to buy a ukulele, after being without one since I moved to Europe. I trekked all over the city to get to the music store. Now everything is right with the world. I can play that thing for hours. And I did. :D

Went 3 times this week for some quality food. And got a really nice gift. Thankful for family who have been so generous to me in my moments of feeling down about myself.

I really like all the girls I work with now. Over the past year the girls that have started working at the club are super nice, friendly not cutthroat or two-faced. It's a pleasure to see them and chat to them, which makes work even better.

My fur baby is home from the hospital after being checked in on Tuesday. He's gone through 2 antibiotics, fluids therapy, and a blood transfusion. His kidney values have dropped significantly, more than they even thought they would a couple days ago. He's eating and drinking well, and obviously has a ton more energy. I'm so happy he's home and feeling better.

A whale today with a glasses fetish. I think it's hilarious that the very thing that used to get me picked on all throughout junior high and part of high school attracts me eyeglasses fetish dudes now. Keep it coming $$$$!

WOO! Unpacked!

There's still a lot of little things that need to be tweaked, but most of them are the way the closets are organized which is more for my benefit than anyone else that would walk into my apartment and not be able to see them. So for now, boxes are out of the way and everything is reachable which is all that matters. Feels so good!

I had a lot of stuff to drop off at the thrift store so a lady working there gave me a 30% off card, so I decided to do a quick look around to see if anything catches my eye... found a gold cross body MK purse (a knock off) but I love it! Was tired of my plain black one, and it cost me almost nothing with my discount card.

Also, parted with tons of almost 10 year old stripper outfits, I was hanging on to them for sentimental reasons but I was in the mood to get rid of stuff. Now I'm happy I brought it all to the thrift store, I feel like I did a cleanse, and looking forward to all the great new things I will buy in the future

Grateful for being able to take my kid on a trip to British Columbia for his 16th Bday. We had so much fun! Stayed in Vancouver for one night, then took the bus to Whistler. At first it was still a little smoky from the fires, but by the 2nd day it wasn't bad, so over the past few days we went hiking, biking, mini golfing, and rafting. We also rode this peak to peak gondola that takes you from one mountain peak to another. The views were breathtaking and it was actually a little scary. Had a nice dinner for our last night too. My son enjoyed the trip and I am so grateful that I was able to get the funds together to do this for him. I wanted his 16th to be special and one to remember.

My one year Anniversary ( as a dog mom ) is tomorrow ! I can't even EXPRESS how much I love this little guy ( 8.2 pounds ! ).
My bf and I talked about getting a dog FOREVER and made the plunge last August. This guy adds so much to our life ! He is an amazing road trip companion. We are on the road and he is just a CHAMP at it ! He is snuggled next to me as I'm writing this .

Sick kitty is doing SO much better. He went about 5 days home from the hospital still really lethargic, not liking attention, not meowing or purring. The last couple days, he's been very vocal, purring, and cuddly. His color is so much better, he's obviously more vibrant and isn't holding a grudge against me anymore lol He doesn't get his blood work retested til Thursday but I imagine it'll be fairly good. He's obviously feeling so much better. Even if it was hella expensive I'm so glad I gave him a shot instead of just assuming he was too old to bounce back.

Surprisingly grateful that my apartment didn't come with a microwave... because I'm finally improving my cooking skills! I made some really good spaghetti, made fried rice, learned how to make hard boiled eggs properly, and made some awesome sandwiches with bread from the bakery (luckily, it's way cheap here, and delicious).

My little brother started highschool yesterday and I was very nervous for him. He wasn't nervous at all, but I was imagining him having a hard time because he's kind of socially awkward. So, today he tells me that highschool is more fun than he expected which is great.

A little background, he likes to write stories about dragons and sword fighting heros. So, I ask him if he made any friends and he said he was writing at lunch and a person approached him to ask him what he was doing. He says "I'm writing" and SHE says she's a writer too and sits with him at the lunch table. I said "she" to him and he gives this "of course" look to me. Thank you Lord, I'm so grateful.

Grateful that I get to hang out with some friends later today, that I haven't seen in 6 months. :D

Also grateful that I made the same amount from texting this week, as my weekly stripping goal. omg... I never would have thought it was possible. I work a LOT, but since it's only texting, it doesn't really get in the way of life.

For the first time ever in my 30 years of life my mom told me that she's proud of me. It came out of nowhere and was very unexpected. I asked her why because I thought it was another one of her sarcasm-loaded comments, where she says something that sounds positive but is actually a jab at me. She said that she was proud of me for having my own place for so long. My adult brother and sister, while she constantly praises them for being married/engaged, successful, good jobs, blah blah blah she pointed out the fact that neither of them have their own place. My brother, sister in law, and their kid and my sister still live at home. I think this is the most positive thing that I'm ever going to hear from her so I'll take it.

Grateful for the gelato place my friend showed me yesterday... I had half mojito, half strawberry... SOOOOO GOOOOOOOD! I have no words. Omg. It was life changing.

Can't stop thinking about it. My friend said he went there four times last week, and I wish he wouldn't have, because now I am convinced that that is an acceptable behavior and I want to go back, haha

Went to the Asian market today with my guy. Which may sound like nothing but is basically #relationshipgoals for me. We wandered around for an hour looking at all of the cool shit, and then came home and he cooked an amazing curry.

Not being in a desperate financial situation. Don't get me wrong... I'm still technically broke lol... A long time client hit me up just now asking to see me. I freestyle, so I am happy for any date cause they aren't consistent. He's usually generous, but has gotten a little cheap lately cause we've known each other for so long. He's been giving me money for about 3 years now.

He texted me just now offering me $200 less than my usual rate. We went back and forth for a bit, but I respectfully declined. The extra cash might be nice, but fuck no... I know my worth.

Nope, I'm staying home... gonna smoke, relax from my day job, and watch TV. :)

But, I've been in circumstances where I may have had to take that date. But, I'm not in that right now... and for that I'm very grateful.

I don't have a scale and I never weight my luggages before travelling... I'm really lucky I often encounter nice people during check-in at the airport, often they let me go even if it's many kg over lol.

Returning to Canada after 7 weeks of a adventure and at first they told me it's extra $100 USD and I said but that's so expensive ! He said it's $100 so I took out my wallet and was counting my money and then another guy came and said no it's okay, no need to pay. And I overheard them say in their language that I'm pretty lol.

The company that hired me as a teacher is being really generous with me. I guess because it's summer, and because some teachers left... but I have an opportunity to take a bunch of new private lessons this week, and I can also start doing test prep -- which is one of the best paying English teaching jobs you can have. Super excited!
