I am so happy, I cannot believe I landed one of the top-coveted positions in my field that only 4% of graduates get. For every one of the top law firms, there are about 500 applicants for 1-3 spots, a couple of firms will hire 10 but it is exceedingly rare and there are not many of those firms. I got an offer in the beginning of the week, accepted and just signed my contract. I have my summer 2018, summer 2019 and years 2020 and 2021 secured, I will be starting at a salary my dad makes in three years and will actually make more than I was making in the sex industry without having to remove my clothes. It all happened in one week, I feel so lucky, it seems unreal that it is happening to me.
Not too long ago, I was considering doing part-time sex work post-graduation because even as a law grad I would be making less than I was making at 18, then I thought of changing profession completely because I did not go through 5 years of college to strip and do massages as an attorney... Now all this hard work is paying off. I will still work part-time in the sex industry as I start my first summer as a law student at the firm, but will be retiring sooner than I thought to focus on my professional career.

I'm grateful that I finally figured out how to use my washing machine. haha
I'm grateful for some amazing movies that have recently come out. I finally got around to seeing "I, Tonya" and "Call Me By Your Name." Omg! So, so good.

...grateful for Box Wine. I have an upset stomach & apparently red wine is a cure for upset tummy.
& I avoided Boxed Wine for decades thinking it was cheap. Nope. Black Box brand is pretty awesome.......

I'm going to watch Itonya tonight. At first I wasn't interested ( being from Mass I was there when it originally happened)
But, everyone tells me that it's mostly about Tanya's white trash life up before the event, so yeah. Love watching that kind of real life stuff.

^^ I ended up watching Insidious instead. Grateful that I had a chance to try the limited Starbucks Crystal Ball frappacino drink. Peachy delicious.
Grateful that my neighbor lent me her Tens machine to try. Happy to report that it's the ONLY thing that I've tried that takes away the pain in my knee!

I'm grateful I accidentally made my boyfriend feel good about himself. I was talking trash about a rich guy I dated many years ago. I basically said that the guy was so awful/dangerous no amount of money was worth chancing injury or death from being with rich guy.
My boyfriend was complaining about Social Security yesterday so I think this made him feel better, in some way.

I have two 3-hour appointments lined up for the next 2 days, one of them is my favorite client who always extends his time and tips well on top of it too. I was really looking forward to some nights off, but this is good too.

I went to a sports event with my grandma and brother last night. Since the event was located in a casino of course they gave everyone a free $10 credit towards their games. My grandma wandered off in there. She's under 5'0" so she can be hard to find but I knew she always goes to the penny slots. My brother and I sat down and started playing too. I was losing my free $10. I only had $2.40 and then bam, I won. I cashed out because I didn't want to push my luck after winning. I know that's how people get sucked into playing and blowing their money at casinos. They win money and keep playing with the money they won until they have nothing left or are -$200 or more. Even though it wasn't enough to make me a millionaire or anything like that, I'm grateful that I at least won something.

I'm grateful that the new replacement battery I need for my car is still covered under warranty. AAA
Also grateful that I'm anal about keeping receipts and filling them neatly ( learned this from my Dad who was an accountant).
If I didn't have the receipt, AAA said that I would need to pay full price, because they're records don't go back that far. Ha! Yeah, right.::)

I'm grateful that my car insurance randomly went down $300 (I pay 6 months upfront instead of monthly). I'm grateful for this glass of vino that is making the process of paying my bills so much more tolerable - lol.

Grateful that I can finally afford to fly my mom out to Europe to visit me. :D She is really excited. She came once before, but had to put everything on a credit card, and I felt bad that she went into debt for a vacation. This time I wanted to give back to her, and the trip will be during her birthday. She's the sweetest person ever, and she recently got really sick, so I'm starting to get nervous about how much time I have left with her.

Free food and entertainment this past weekend
Didn't realize I had dropped my phone on the ground outside, while it was raining. It landed underneath a car next to mine. Thank goodness once I came out the store a few min later that 1. the car had not moved/rolled over it 2. It was free from water damage 3. It was still there
Discussion with some socially aware peeps.
One of the moms helped me out (when my own mom was in her narcissistic passive aggressive petty mood)

Thankful for all the friends I've socialized with this week. I canceled on 2 of them last week because I was just burnt out, but I think I really needed the "party" time even if it's made me kinda unproductive in other things. I just needed the break from hustling my ass off and dealing with pyscho ex the last 3 months. 2 of them are new-ish friends that I've gotten closer with. It's nice to be out making friends again at my age.

I only 4 out of 5 points on a peer review assignment, which seemed kind of low but I still have a safe A in this class so I didn't really care. I just saw my professor added a comment and she said " Thank you for forwarding the email. You are a very bright student and you have a lot of meaningful contributions to make. I thought you could have provided a deeper review." I mean I would have liked 5/5 but I'll take the nice compliment too.

I'm grateful to have discovered a gratitude practice that is changing the way I view money and inevitable expenses. I was watching this spiritual finance guru and she says to think of bills as "invoices for blessings already received". If you're receiving an electric bill it means you've had power for 30 days. Take a moment to give some gratitude and remember all of those times you've walked into a dark house/apartment and flipped on a light switch. How abundant is that?
I know how hippy dippy this sounds but there's nothing I hate more than watching a sizable chunk of change go towards bills, and this mindset helps out a lot.

I'm grateful for an awesome week. I've been working LONG hours, and I'm exhausted, but it has really paid off in helping me raise the money for a new apartment.
Grateful that I will soon have my own place, an actual apartment rather than a long-term AirBnB. Good wifi. No roommates. No boyfriend. Just ME! ;D
Grateful that I will be living in Slovenia and can travel to Italy on the weekends. :D

^^ Sleeping is EVERYTHING, isn't it?
Today, I am the most grateful I've been in my entire life!
The drug addict, dealer thugs moved out yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!:smellie_g:dance::dazzled
They were so gross. They did this 'mirroring' thing, where no matter what I was doing in my house, they did.
Go to the bathroom? They would be in there too.
Kitchen? They would slam the cabinets constantly.
Yard? As soon as they heard my sliding door open, they would open theirs too.
They NEVER left the house, and would blast there bass music 24/7
Can't wait to deep clean and air out my house, which has smelled like a crack den since they moved in last June.
Last night was the FIRST night I slept!
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

I'm grateful that I started escorting when I did and have a solid base of clients and a reputation, even among those guys who had never booked me yet. Now that TER is down, I don't know how I would ever build my business up to what it is today if I had to start fresh. Also grateful that I had started working on my exit for personal reasons a few months ago instead of thinking all would be well for the future.
Also grateful that I may have accidentally snagged a sugar-daddy of sorts and we're planning a vacation.

A former platonic SD reached out to me today. He said that he was thinking about me and wondered how I was doing. I thought that it was nice that someone actually thought of me. I'm feeling pretty disposable lately with how a couple of my so-called friends have been flaking out and standing me up lately. I'm feeling like shit from this cold that hit out of nowhere too so he came by just to drop me off some orange juice, cold meds, cough drops, epsom salt, and chicken lemon and rice soup that he remembered that I liked from a certain restaurant. He said that he wants to take me out to dinner when I feel better. That would be awesome if he'll be back in my life now because I am lacking in friends who don't have motives to fuck me.
