I know I complain all the time but I do really like my apartment and the neighborhood where I live right now. This is by far the nicest apartment I've ever had, and the first with a balcony. And the complex is behind a residential area, with a lot more greenery and space than any of the surrounding area. Nice area to walk around in and I love the balcony. I was going to get cheap outdoor furniture from craigslist but my parents got me really nice furniture and plants for my graduation present.

Grateful for the ability to lock your credit cards online. I lost my clutch last night & apparently whoever found it was *not* a good person... 20 mins after locking my credit card, I got an alert someone had tried to use it like 5 times. Not today, douche.

Makes me sad that people are like that, but I'm also mildly amused at them probably being pissed when it wouldn't work.

After driving around all day and stopping at at least 10 different properties, after spending the last month (and week especially) getting dicked around by other complexes I was trying to rent from, I FINALLY found an available apartment. It's not exactly in the area I was hoping for, but I think this will actually be better. It's still only 3 miles from work, is closer to where I'll be doing school, and is also right around the corner from a fire station for the department I'm applying to. They're all ground level, and the leasing guy found me a unit all the way in the back up against the woods which I like for privacy but also because he said it stays pretty dark which is good for day-sleeping. It's a smaller one-bedroom, but has a HUGE utility room as well as an attic so storage space will be no problem. It also has really short ceilings, so I can actually reach everything! He got me a "non-remodeled" unit for exactly just under my desired budget - but really, I like the old model better because instead of a full breakfast bar, it has half a breakfast bar in the middle flanked by extra bookshelves.

The only downside is no dishwasher which is kinda "uh-oh" for me and my cleaning habits, but I'll make it work. I'm actually pretty excited about the place.

That place sounds perfect.
You can buy a portable dishwasher if you really love the apt.

I weighed almost twenty pounds more when I was dancing regularly, but I was super toned and loved my body. I lost a lot of weight since then without trying and i like being tiny too but I've been skinny-flabby for a long time. I've been able to keep to a modest exercise routine for a few weeks now and I'm starting to feel a little more muscular, especially in my butt.

I'm grateful for little surprises today. A random man outside Trader Joe's gave me a bouquet of flowers. Then I went to Starbucks and they brought me the wrong drink, they made me a new one and let me keep the other one for free. So I scored two teas :D

The feel and touch of an attractive man

place I went to get food and was about to pay then the cashier was like "you know what, don't even worry about it" - I gave him the money I was going to spend on food as a tip

I'm grateful I have an extremely patient and understanding bf. I push my limits with him and put him through the wringer multiple times. I'm impulsive, self-centered and reckless and he reels me back in. He keeps me in check. I have no idea why he sticks around.

I love this.
I'm grateful that a guy( gay), I know from my grief group invited me over to his house on Sunday, Father's Day. It's a rough one for me, and I'm thankful that I won't have to be alone.
Grateful that I'm finally letting go of toxic LA friends. Some I've known for over 30 years.
But, as the saying goes, " Zebras don't change their stripes."
Now that I'm meeting selfless, gentle, caring people, I can see how cut throat they all are.
I'm blessing them all on to their highest good.

Grateful for my therapist at catholic charities. I was scared she would be a judgemental church lady, but she helped me feel better about my profession. She asked me what services do i provide that help people? I think it’s important for me to realize I help people feel good and less lonely. I’m really grateful for a good therapist.

I'm so happy you found a good therapist that's not judgmental. It makes me want to cry.

I'm grateful for a really nice hike in the woods. I didn't quite eat enough breakfast and got woozy from low blood sugar halfway up the hill, but some gatorade & a granola bar got me back to normal. The views were worth it! :)

I had a new platonic cuddle client. He had originally booked me for an hour but it turned into 3. I had forgotten to set my alarm and the time just flew by. He didn't give me any hassle about compensating me for the extra 2 hours. I'm grateful for easy work when I don't feel like getting out of my bed and have nowhere to be today anyways because my daughter is spending the day at a relative's.

I’m grateful for my friends advice about sitting through urges to emotionally act out. This lady is like an angel she called me in the middle of the night and gave me a shit ton of wisdom! She told me I could call her anytime I needed someone to talk to.

^^Bravo!
I found out about a woman's boutique that sells, everything for under $10.
Made the trek out there yesterday.
The saleswoman was soooo cool and helpful.
We totally clicked.
She begged me not to leave, so we hung out for over 2 hours!
She's wild! Full heavy make-up, thick, long false lashes. Bling to the moon and back.
She hooked me up with the following:
A doctor
Mechanic
Seamstress
Hair stylist
Diet drink
Plummer/handyman
New car if I want one( she used to be a to saleswoman in the auto biz, so she has connections)
Restaurants
She gave me some prescription Ibuprofen, offered tramadol.
She's diabetic, and offered me a blood test.
She shared her home-made chicken and salami sandwich with me.
Even went across the street to a restaurant, and brought back ice teas.
I know my mom sent her. I've been feeling so lost out here by myself.
So very grateful to have a new friend that's not a taker, and seems to have the same heart as I do.
People ask me why I live out here.
THIS. I lived in LA for over 30 years. People there keep all of their good to themselves.
What a relief.

Lipozene.
But, I read the reviews, and decided not to take it.
*Even though this is the grateful thread. I'm going to say this, since you asked about it.
Why, oh why, does EVERY woman I meet have to tell me that I need to lose weight?
I'm grateful that she text me yesterday and said the cook in the restaurant next door that she introduced me to, asked where I was.
^^^^^^^^^^THIS is why I never take advice from women about my weight. Jealous, because I always get the guy.

Apartment is looking much better and organized after spending the day unpacking.

Also, I volunteered to work tomorrow, but am not needed after all, and thank god. I'm so happy I get 2 days off in a row. I really burned myself out on overtime this past month. I also will have time for a fairly easy client because of it since he couldn't make it today.

Sooo grateful that my car passed the smog test! I needed it to pass to renew my registration.
I went to this place that was highly recommended on Yelp.
It was done so smoothly and quickly.
With all the recent estimates from mechanics telling me everything is wrong with my car, I wasn't sure it would pass.
So grateful right now! It's a huge load off my mind. ;D:goodvibes:pray::thanx:

I'm grateful that I talked to an old friend today who's an ex-stripper, she knows almost everything about me and I felt so free talking to her. Cant be like that with anybody else I know. She was telling me all about her dating site adventures too, and I was telling her mine. Had such a good laugh, we dont talk very often cuz she moved to another city, but when we do catch up, I'm in a great mood after.
