Today I'm grateful for combat medics and doctors, else I would've bought it in Afghanistan. But, because of them, I'm getting free food today. Which, with what happened, it isn't a tradeoff I'd make by choice, but I can't change the past. And I suppose I'm grateful for people making a bigger deal out of me being a vet than I do. Me, I kinda look at is as, "Hey, I did a thing". If someone wants to give me free food for it, who am I to say no?

Grateful for my space heater.
The gas company can't be here to light my pilot until Nov 19th.
It's freezing in my home!
Luckily I had this from when I was forced to live outside.
Love my little space heater!

Grateful that I found brand new, in the box, cookware at a yard sale.
Fry pan, griddle, and saucepan. All for $9!
I needed new quality pans, but didn't want to spend a lot, because I can only heat up my kitchen for 6 months of the year.
I love these pans!

Backrubs without even having to ask. The concert last night was pretty rough, and I woke up incredibly sore. “Why can’t you go to calmer shows?”, they ask. Because that’s not what I’m into, even if there are consequences for the ones I go to.

My BED ! Today brings a close to my chaotic day job season ( which has been going since April ) !
I get to HAVE A LIFE again and a somewhat more normal schedule. Bring it ON. I just CAN'T WAIT to have weekends free again.
I had 2-3 off the entire time in the last 6 months. Yes Yes Yes Yes.

I'm grateful that I'm getting a puppy tomorrow!! She's a rescue from a shelter, and I have to travel to a nearby city to pick her up. She looks sooo cute and sweet! The shelter sent me some pics and videos of her and I'm just dying with how adorable she is.

Already did some shopping for dog supplies. She's gonna be fabulous.

Mr. Dilf surprised me with tickets to see my favorite sports team play. I'm funny because that is the only sport and team that I get excited about. I've been a loyal fan for 21 years now. They've been doing pretty bad this season but they won, 6-1 and I got to see it happen. I'm happy.

I originally put in PTO for the entire day, but in the interest of trying to save some, I asked to switch to only taking a half day of PTO and working the first half. The scheduler knew, but the supervisor on shift didn't get the memo, so when I showed up, she had stuck my partner with someone else whose partner called in sick. I've been feeling like shit myself, so I said if I wasn't needed, I would happily take the full day of PTO that they assumed I had and go home. She said fine. Thank god, I really didn't want to work today. This cold has been getting worse over the past 4 days, and today I have no energy.

So Im at Walmart doing some heavy shopping for Thanksgiving and a few events I have coming up, when a random women approaches me:

"Ugh! Why on earth do people keep getting nose piercings?!?! Why?!?! *sputters incoherently*...it it it comes from India incase you didn't know!"

I was in shock and completely caught off guard. BTW I have a tiny gold septum ring and a nostril piercing, but I rarely rock them at the same time. Today it was just the septum.

My only response was "Pfft Bitch, What?" That's all I could get out before she walked away. I was instantly mad because I couldnt think of anything else to say and also Im on this journey to rise above.

BUT luckily I was with my homegirl, who way back in 2005 stopped giving af. It was glorious! She cussed that woman out while giving her a history lesson on piercings.

Ive known her since the 9th grade. I feel so blessed to have her in my life.

My good guy friend M. We dated briefly forever ago ( 12 years ago ? ).

We see each other once in awhile and chat on FB a lot.

He's been so awesome listening to my dating efforts and giving great advice. He told today to not waste my make up on a date that didn't work out and I took myself out for great Ramen while he was chatting with me via FB while editing his video work.

He actually said " PUSSY POWER . YOU call the shots " and it made me feel RALLIED and ready to attack and brush myself off !

Grateful that the mechanic FINALLY fixed my car, and it's now drivable.
I'm so excited, because I've been housebound for over a month!
It was making me seriously depressed.
From today on, it's convertible top down, music blasting, and away I go.
Woohoo!
So grateful!

I don't normally see younger guys but I'm glad I made an exception today. This little 21 year old had the cute, innocent nerd look going for him like Tobey Maguire in nerdy glasses. He said that he just wanted to go down on me. I suspect he might've been a virgin or very inexperienced because he came in his pants within like 2 minutes(huge wet spot in his pants). He was able to at least make me cum after I showed him where to lick.

^ This is straight of my real life pervy fantasies!

Lazy Sundays.
Boy was today one. I took my dog to two parks and went for coffee. I meant to go to brunch downtown ( just take myself out ) but there wasn't parking right by the place so I just went for a drive through and back home for tea.
I've enjoyed the whole day so far.

I'm making a dish that calls for coriander. I went to several grocery stores and couldn't find it anywhere except for an ethnic food market around here that wanted almost $15 for a small bottle of it. Needless to say, I said heck no to that. I made a trip to Big Lots to buy some tea and low and behold, they had one bottle of coriander spice left there on the shelf and it was only $1. I'm glad I found it and saved my money.

Grateful that while the gas company was out here lighting my heater pilot, he decided to check everything out.
Turns out there was a carbon monoxide leak!
Damn landlord, and all the gas men before him, for never checking that!
I could've died in here!!!>:(
The carbon monoxide detector wasn't even working right.
So grateful.

The office had some free food which helped cause I was hungry af.

Then as I’m going into the break room my favorite male coworker offers to buy me a coke cause he notices I didn’t have anything to drink yet. He also stays and chats with me.

The work my evil coworker tried to push off on me turned out to be easier than I thought.

Got some pricey new tech gadgets

Ate an expensive sushi dish

Just stopping by to say that I'm SO incredibly grateful for the life that I have.:heartbeat
I was feeling down, because of the choices I've made, and for losing my parents.:'(
However. After spending Thanksgiving day at my gay buddy's house, I realized how my life is pretty much perfect.
He's a very private person, and I'm the only person he can tell his secrets to.
So, for 3 hours, I listened to him talk, and unload all of his worries.
He has hiv, and gets very sick. His huge house is starting to need major repairs.
He works at a prison. He went into detail about his duties there, and suffice it to say....... yikes!
I bitch and complain about how boring cam is, etc.
No more.
I'm grateful.
So very grateful.:cloud9::pray:

A comfy home.
I've cheaped out before with a place to live and this is the other side of it ( nice place / security / tightly key coded ).
I did it right this time ( huge king size bed ) . Hardwoods / granite / streamlined.

It doesn't have a tub which sometimes irks me but oh well.

So I deconstructed my French braid for Halloween, and the people I trust to do mine weren’t available to do it, so the younger of our ‘refugees’ braided some pigtails for me. And I’ve left them, because I didn’t want her to feel like I didn’t think they were good enough, even though I really want a French braid. I found out today she’s been learning how to make a French braid so she can do mine. What a sweetheart :)

I miss having gay friends..

Make friends with some new ones.
I'm so excited!
Today is going to be a triple header gay boy fest.
I'm going over to gay boy #1's house this morning to get my roots done.
Gay boy #2 is coming back home today from being gone for Thanksgiving.
Gay boy #3 invited me to a speaking engagement he's giving right down the street from me.
So grateful.
* I'm going to be adding more gay friends to my stable, because the ones I have go out of town a lot, and I miss them terribly when they're gone.

I'm grateful for the first snow of the year, and the fact that my strep throat isn't nearly as bad as it could be. Working for yourself is SO worth it when you get sick. You don't have to go anywhere if you don't want to, you can stay home and rest.

Today I'm grateful for the street smarts I gained by working in the adult industry. Here's why-

* I just found out a guy my boyfriend worked with for a long time got arrested for something. I'm gonna call this guy "Mister XYZ."

I had to be nice to Mister XYZ (social manners) but the vibe I got off of him made me incredibly nervous. I also had to help him out once due to a serious life threatening emergency (not illegal it was a weather related issue) and Mr. XYZ treated me well after that (I "earned his respect" by helping him.)

BUT I told my boyfriend more than once...."I don't like Mr. XYZ and I would never choose to be alone with him or loan him something I could not afford to lose."

We just found out he can't get out of these charges. He's weaseled out of charges before but this time...ehh not happening. & It's a monetary issue not bar fight or anything like that.

I guess years of literally holding onto my pay & being paranoid about being ripped off made me so nervous of Mister XYZ. He doesn't honor contracts or respect other people's property.
