Today I'm grateful for my 2 new king size pillows someone bought me for my birthday. I was just thinking the day before that I wanted new pillows, and poof! Like magic! Such a deep, and luscious sleep I had last night with them.:cloud9::zzz:

So grateful to finally move out of that awful house with my ex boyfriend and slumlord! @

I love big comfy pillows too. When I sleep alone, I use one for my head, one for my back and one between my legs. When the bf is around I throw an arm and a leg over him and nuzzle under his chin.

I'm grateful that fiancé's dog was so well-behaved today. I decided to have some bonding time with him (he is very much attached to him as his 'main person', as my dog is to me), so I took him to Petsmart and the Starbucks drive thru.
When we got him, he was a nightmare to take anywhere. I refused to even walk him to pee, because he would literally drag me with his pulling, and lunge/bark ferociously at people/animals. He actually pulled me down a few times; I literally wasn't strong enough to keep him under control when he zoned in on something. We started working with getting him to snap to attention when we said his name, and stopping every time he pulled so that he learned it didn't get him there any faster.
He was SO good today :D Walked calmly past the dog run (used to choke himself dragging us in there). At Petsmart he didn't pull hardly at all, thought about barking at dogs a few times but snapped his attention back to me when I spoke, and went on our way calmly. He even sat down in the checkout line. There was one incident when another Shepherd passed within 3 inches of him and he lost his mind entirely, but that's partly on me for not rewarding him when he turned away at first. He even sat in the backseat at Sbux and didn't try to climb over me out the window for his treat.
10 points to Atticus!

It's the best, isn't it? I always need one also, between my thighs, and under my arm (side sleeper). I have 2 really pretty furry ones I bought when I first moved in here a few months ago, but now that the temps are going to be in the 100's until prob. November, these new pillows are going to be just right! Nice and cool on my body.

Modern life and technology. I can't image a time without having internet, mobile phones, etc. I would whine like a b*tch if I was forced to live in a underdeveloped country. And I have a newfound respect for the people that do live in countries less developed. I am glad I can get water and food without having to do manual labor to get it.

Wine :D. Also, for my Brother-who is a lot younger than me, but has such a practical, level headed view of "the world" which helps me put things into perspective sometimes. He doesn't take anything or himself too seriously (he's easy going) and I admire that.

I'm grateful I don't have to work every day, and that the modeling is picking back up for me again. :) I'm grateful to be going home in two weeks, and that I have a kick-ass, committed partner.

Grateful my husband is so supportive of me and all my little business ventures. Today he even helped me do my hair and took pics of me for MFC and Streamate lol! He had fun with it too. I'm so glad he's over his jealousy issues and understands that it's just $$ to me.

Hot water x1000000.
Long hot showers have always been my main vice, even tho I have been trying much harder to curb my time the last few yrs. But w/ my injured feet … every morning when I wake up, it's like a 5-6 on a pain scale of 10 & I hobble around like an old lady. That morning shower w/ lots of hot water, even if it's only 10-15min (I can be in&out in 10min or less if I am not washing my hair) does wonders to ease the pain. It's like the morning 'coffee boost' for my injuries.
For all my bitching I actually do have a lot of things I am grateful for. Should maybe start popping into this thread more often.

Awww! I get it, my arm, owwie. But, a decent thing @ the motel here IS the hot water, gets really hot.
So yea, this's a great thread to visit. The sun helps me too, I like it to be at a later in the day angle, so it hits my back & arm. Also, it sounds weird but I take my eyeglass case that sits on my car dash in the sun, to my arm & it helps a bit too.

^^I love them too. Even though there is a major drought where I live, and we could be fined for taking long showers IDGAF! I AM in pain most of the time, and a hot shower is a huge relief at the end and even start of the day.
Oh, and I'm very grateful for having 'discernment.'
I turned down a job offer that would have been very, very bad for me. Many years ago, I would have jumped at the chance, because of the 'false' promises of the money I could make. it's all illusionary, and bs.
Plus, the working conditions are deplorable, and they treat their sales staff worse than cattle--as a matter of fact, cattle have more space in their stalls than I would have in mine.
No air conditioning, with temps reaching well above 100. Dirty office space, and bathrooms.
Nope, not going to fool me, oh greedy slave driver!

I'm so grateful that my "super-difficult" day consisted of 12 hours at my fairly safe, beautifully landscaped school, eating a totally yummy veggie sandwich while drinking equally yummy tea, and sitting in the comfortable library iMessaging friends and working on assignments.
It is so helpful to remember that even when things are "bad" they're still usually amazing.

That my new glasses stopped the headaches I was getting and it wasn't anything more serious.
For my day job & my coworkers. I miss dancing but am really glad I can bow out of it when I need to, as trying to work in my current city was really affecting me personally in a way I never expected.
This one is kind of silly and I am probably jinxing myself but I have been having ridiculously good luck with the train schedules lately.
That a witness saw someone 'hit & run' my car & got the plate number for me.
For my family. I know I've complained a lot about family things but I still know my parents would always support me when I really need it. And with a bunch of things going on lately honestly I am really glad that I know my parents are really good, generous kinds of people.

I am grateful that my car is so hella good on gas mileage. W/ gas prices lately it's around $40-45-ish to fill up, depending on how deep into the red I let it get … but still, by the time the 'low fuel alert' light comes on, I have gotten at least 400-410mi out of it (at least when I am not driving in Pensacola, DC or anywhere in southern MD lol) & often I can squeeze out 420+. God bless flat terrain & cruise control.

I picked the first radishes I grew from seeds!
I bought exotic fruits ( mango, lychee, mountain Apple ).
I made us caprese salad with basil I grew.
I picked one huge flower and bought more from another place and have a large bouquet in the house. All of this was just from today, I'm grateful!

Today I am grateful for the fact that I feel well enough to cam. I've had some health issues recently, all of which are culminating in a surgery that I need to raise the rest of the money for. that has not been easy given the fact that most days I have felt awful and nauseous, but today I feel great and even excited to cam and I am so freaking happy about that and grateful!! YAY!!

The trolley driver ystrdy, who I just happened to catch right b4 he pulled out to take the trolley back to the barn at the end of the day -- he was kind enough to take me a bit out of his way to take me back to my car. He was also not obnoxious abt the favour he was doing me, just sm friendly chatter but no innuendo or other invasive bs. When it was all said&done, instead of the 10blk walk I'd been dreading when I went to clock-out, I only had to walk 1.5blks.

I am really grateful for how awesome my new place is. My favorite is my new bathtub. It's nice and big and I've been taking candle lit bubble baths in it just about every other day.
Also have this beautiful woodland trail that runs right behind my house. It's gorgeous! So relaxing to walk through and it's always cool even on hot days because the trees block out the sun. When the kid starts getting cranky I take him for a walk out there and he immediately calms down, and we just walk and listen to the birds...Ahhh it's so zen here.

Funny grateful- my boyfriend's former city of residence is on fire (summer wildfires.) I reminded him of how lucky he was to be able to move from there. (Then I remembered he had to re-build our current home due to flood damage. LOL Lucky for him he got a lot of help with that. I guess the world isn't always a bad place.)

I hate my vanilla job but I am grateful to have it, & while I am not thrilled abt working almost 2wks solid coming up, the reason I have no days off is bc I got the opportunity to pick up sm extra shifts. I can't dance again until God only knows when (if ever) so I want to maximise my income w/ this job as best I can.

I usually hate my "too nice" overly polite nature, but I'm thankful for it today-I bought $200 clip-in extensions and the shop owner and I talked for ages (even though I was in a real hurry to get home and get ready for work) and she threw in a free hair product that I'd mentioned in our chat (worth $60) :).

I am SO grateful to be back at my home club! I absolutely love it. I actually love going to work there. The guys are 10x friendlier and 99% less grabby because it's a no contact club. I have already made more money there this week than I ever made in a week in Chicago burbs. I have already sold more rooms in a week than I did in the 8 or 9 months I worked in Chicago Heights. Unbelievable! Plus my managers/DJs/bouncers remember me from when I worked there before and they have been so great to me. :) Best club ever!

Enjoying my cheat meal of the week at home while catching up on reading new SW posts :) (haven't been on the forum much the last couple of days). I have the whole day off to do my laundry, clean my apartment and catch up on Game of thrones. I don't have to put on make-up or look sexy, staying in by myself for the rest of the evening, best feeling ever :)

Sorry, I spoke too soon...:(
I bought it at night, so when I first used it, it only seemed that it cooled my hot room, prob. because it had already cooled down outside. If You're still interested, it's a Honeywell Brand, Quietset tower fan.
I even bought a portable evaporator cooler the other day, and even THAT doesn't work.
It's just too damn hot for anything to work here during the day--the temps are in the 100's.:-\
