I'm grateful for the couple of ocean mist scented candles in my room. I like the little bit of natural light; after they've been burning for a while, the scent fills the room, and I just feel chill AF.

There might be a free / discounted clinic in your city - worth checking. I've used those in a couple cities before ( once for a UTI ! ) .
those free clinics are in the hood (at least in this city) and they are depressing af and the doctors/staff are trifling I would not recommend unless you absolutely have no other option. Plus the ones here are not free unless you are flat out destitute it’s sliding scale and most likely you’ll still be paying something
Just go to urgent care, maybe tell them before going that you’d be like to negotiate for a lower cost since you don’t have insurance
You’re better off going to planned parenthood

I am thankful that despite my ranting about evil manager, the former coworkers are still being kind to me. Three of the male coworkers asked how I was doing and if they could help me out in any way they would.
Well honestly I’d like some oral sex and some money but I’m grateful for positive male emotional support

Grateful the others in this house have a sense of foresight. Today was a very draining day, and I just had such a case of the lazy ass when I got home that I was ready to just order pizza, Chinese food, whatever. They know I really go out of my way not to make take out a regular thing, so they took the initiative and made dinner for all of us themselves. And I can the ‘refugees’ took the lead by the presence of measuring cups in the dishwasher… my sister and I almost never use those. Plus the food was spicier than either of us would’ve made it, but not over the top. It was quite good.

So true. I had insurance for poor people called MediCal.
I chipped my tooth, and needed to go in to see their dentist, because the jagged edge was cutting my tongue and it got infected.
Even with an appt I sat for 2 hours in the wait room. Don't even get me started on what was going on in there.
When I got in to see the dentist, the numbing shots didn't work.
It was so bad that I got up and left.
When I got home I pulled out the tooth myself.
I'm just like that.
I'd rather do things myself than deal with those incompetent doctors/dentists. If you can call them that.

I went like once or twice and tried to find one in a “better” part of town when I realized they were all in the hood. So I just picked one and went there. The waiting times are ridiculously long. A broad was going into labor in the waiting room, the doctor I saw was a male obgyn and he shoved the instrument in my vagina. I told him that hurt he was like no it doesn’t. I was so surprised with the horrible treatment that I was in shock, traumatized and will never go there again. They sent me a bill and I never paid it. Oh well.

So you get it.
It's horrifying.
Although, I'm still not trusting of any doctors, really.
I was raped by a male gynecologist in Beverly Hills during an exam.. I had just started dancing, and made the mistake of telling him.
I was young and naive.
Anyhoo, after I pulled my tooth, I went in to a high end dentist for a free exam.
He told me that those clinics use expired novacaine, etc. And that was probably the reason why I couldn't get numb.
He also told me that unless I have the root of the tooth I pulled removed, it would get infected and I would die.
I once again walked out.
It's 2 years later, and here I am, still alive.
They all lie.

I'm grateful for a great set of Spinning instructors at the local YMCA. Legit: they get me to push harder than I think I can and they KNOW their music. When the music starts to build and they count us down to sprint...I sprint like a MF!!! I am so grateful for knowledgeable instructors.

I am grateful for my health. I've only experienced heartburn twice in my life. Last night was the second time. I ask John, my fella, what I should do. He suggested a nice bath then relaxation. In just an hour of sitting with my upper body elevated and relaxing like he suggested the heartburn went away. & it was bad too. But I'm healthy and got through it relatively fast. I'm so grateful.

I'm grateful that I had the foresight to do my laundry last night. I knew there was a storm coming, and I have to shlep outside over to the laundry room. Plus, there's only 2 washers and dryers and someone is always in there.
I use heavy blankets and comforter cover to sleep on in the winter.
Comfy cozy, but a pain in the ass to wash and dry.
There's no heat in the laundry room, so there I was, doing my laundry in a fur coat, and fur legging covers.
Lol!
So grateful that I have a warm bed and home to sleep in, out of the elements.;D

I'm grateful to stand on my own two feet, and while I've been offered and have accepted a hand up from time to time, I've never asked for or required a handout. I'm grateful for my sense of independence and my drive to stand alone. I've worked hard for everything I have and I've sacrificed much. But nobody else can lay claim to the fruits of my labors other than myself. Nobody in their right mind can accuse me of being a gold digger, and I'm grateful for that. In many ways, it actually makes me grateful to be single, as well. Nobody can hijack credit for what I've achieved and earned.

I'm grateful that, for whatever the reason is, men who enter my room are respectful. I rarely ever have to deal with a rude customer. It might be that I'm in the mature category, or that I'm a Domme, but it's quite wonderful to not have to deal with immaturity in addition to days where low earning causes a bit of anxiety.
I'm so very grateful men are respectful in my room. It makes camming so much more enjoyable.

Yesterday I found out I can transfer groups at work. It would basically be a lateral move, but the new group carries a bit more clout and is much more in line with my Master's. I talked to my potential new boss today and he had many complimentary things to say about me (we know each other very well already as colleagues). It was so nice, I had that shiny and glowy feeling after.
And I have been one of those trolls that swipes right on everyone on OkCupid lately and I feel kind of bad about it, but I also have a Hinge account. Today someone on Hinge sent me a message that was actually interesting and we had a nice, lengthy conversation. He finally asked me out, and we are getting brunch in the morning. I think brunch on a first date is weird, but he was so cool and interesting to talk to, I am very cautiously optimistic.
Edit: date was a total dud.

After reading this, it caused me to think and ask myself am I dependent or Independent?
after doing some light thinking for the last few minutes. I have come to realize I live a very, VERY independent life however my core personality is dependent. I would love for somebody to come in and pay all my bills and all I have to do is look pretty. However, I know that’s never going to happen. And if it did happen I still wouldn’t be able to accept that because I don’t trust that situation to NOT end badly. So I guess I can say I am independent by circumstances not because I truly want to be independent or because I have a core drive from my base personality to be independent. Now I have accepted help from time to time especially from my family from when I was unemployed. However, when I did accept their help I cried and felt so sad and low. I felt like an utter failure in life because I couldn’t support myself. So what does this make me Independent or dependent? Am I independent because of the circumstances of my life? Or am I Independent because I want to be independent? Mmm food for thought, I will say this though.
I'm grateful for the means and ability to be independent. I am grateful that my tears and sweat has allowed me to live a very comfortable lifestyle compared to individuals in third world countries that don't even have running water. I'm grateful that my country allows *cough forces* children to get a FREE EDUCATION. If I was born in some third world country I wouldn't even be able to read or write this message here, considering a good portion of females born in 1992 was not able to go to school.
So yes I have an Independent lifestyle, I pay my own bills and I buy my own things, yet I'm still hoping to one day meet a partner I can be dependent on, in all senses. Not just $$.

I'm grateful for the level of discipline I have. I'm not sure who instilled this in me, but I have a "can do" attitude which has resulted in me losing 2 lbs in 7 days. My plan is to lose 8 in 4 weeks by cutting calories and Spinning low intensity for an hour. Because I've been so disciplined with counting calories and sticking to my plan, I've lost. I'm so grateful for discipline.

I'm grateful for canned salmon. I like to cook all meals and enjoy meals that can be made in 5 to 7 min. Well, when I make breakfast I lightly fry 2 cups of power greens in a tablespoon of avocado oil and then throw in 4 ounces of canned salmon. I make this almost every morning and it's like a 5 min meal. Canned salmon is tasty too, plus all the protein is awesome, & not to mention the good fats.

I'm grateful that I was able to get my driver's license renewed online! All the adult sites I work on need it.
My aunt needed hers renewed too. She put the fear of God in me, by saying that I'll need to do the written test, and eye exam to pass like she did. Wrong!
She's 80, so that's probably why she had to.
AAA gave me wrong information too. They said that the DMV is very backed up, and it will take up to 2 months to get my new license mailed to me.
Wrong again!
I got it in 2 weeks.

That sounds yummy! I've been craving salmon lately, but can't justify the outrageous cost of it.
The canned version the way you mix it is definitely the way to go.
Yeah, DMV would definitely be a hassle, even with an appointment.
Dodged a bullet there.
I haven't needed to take the test since I was 16, so it wouldn't be good if I failed.

^^No problem :) yeah, I even season it with Pink Himalayan Salt so it tastes damn good, plus I'm getting all kinds of extra minerals. For real, I spend a lot of money on food. It's a priority only as I'm a fitness instructor. So I sacrifice less socializing and happy hours for good food daily. You're right, it's expensive but mixing it in lots of veggies does help. Sometimes even just 3 ounces is enough satiation.

Wow, that sucks. I had to take the eye test the last time I renewed my license. Thankfully I had full make-up and hair done, because that's the photo that's still on my license.

Yeah the vision test machine is waaaay outdated here. It's blurry & almost seems set up to mess with people with minor vision issues. It wouldn't cost that much to update to digital or go back to the old poster on the DMV wall, but ….whatever.

Grateful for a bit of wisdom I read in a motivational book- "Lazy people work harder in the end...."
Basically that means the more unmotivated and disorganized someone is, they pay for it in terms of lost opportunities, overspending to fix mistakes and misunderstandings, and totally missing out on once in a lifetime opportunities (since being lazy and slovenly kind of announces itself in one's appearance and demeanor before you ever open your mouth.)
It's helped me get into gear this year. & I also see why Marie Kondo was a smash hit. Streamlining your life helps you move towards better days, instead of getting bogged down by past hardship or mistakes.
