I'm grateful for my doctor's visit today. She was super nice, took the time to explain a lot to me, and helped me stay calm while my blood was being drawn. I’m in Europe and it only cost $50 for my appointment, lab tests, and a prescription. I’m relieved this didn’t happen a couple weeks ago when I was in the US.

My glucose level was 76 after dinner so I allowed myself a cheat snack of half a regular birthday cake flavored cupcake. The awesome thing is that it didn't spike my blood sugar afterwards. In fact it was only 84, two hours after eating it. I did eat it with some plain unsalted nuts so maybe that helped. Obviously I cannot make a daily habit of eating bad snacks like this but I'm excited that I was able to eat something sugar. Funny how the grilled cheese sandwich yesterday put my blood sugar to 121, yet the half a cupcake didn't do much.

I finally found sugar free pistachio pudding!! I bought 4 of them. I have had a craving for pistachio pudding. Now hopefully I won't be bad and eat any more sugar stuff.

^Yay! You’re my birthday twin!

Im grateful I have a soul tribe to turn to in times of crisis. I don’t have a lot friends, but the people I have in my life are very deep relationships that I can talk about anything with. They fill my love tank up.

I’m going to double down and say I’m grateful to having money saved for my bills this month. Like I try never to use my savings, but when I don’t make money at work at least I know I have savings and worst case a credit card for emergencies.

My dog walker who was home for winter break is going back to school a week early, but I have someone else already!!! My dog was really bad yesterday during the intro but this guy was really good with him and my dog calmed down after 5-10 minutes. And now he got the dog outside for their first walk without any issues!! I'm so happy!! This is such a relief for me, my dog is so high maintenance and when I don't have a single person who can help with him, it really becomes too much. Yay!!!!

I'm grateful that I didn't give up on camming tonight, despite the annoying lurkers, a douchecanoe guy wasting my time, and being in a foul mood because of BD. I made $135 and that's good enough for me for tonight. Now I can go to bed.

I’m really proud of my friend from the community and how she stepped up and took the reins of life into her own hands after her husband passed and how she just did what she felt was right for her and her children, even though it meant leaving the only way of life she’d ever known. And her approach to it all… she just knew she was going to make it happen, and that’s exactly what she did. Just the way she hit the ground running and all the work she’s put in to provide for herself and her children and then on top of that works to learn new marketable skills to move on to something better.

Sadly I had to pay my rent late. It’s my fault I should have made efforts to get it in sooner.

I tried to pay it online but landlord not only locked me out but added extra 250 forcible entry detainee filing fee and another 145 court fee.

I was on the verge of losing my mind trying to figure out how to come up with these fees, avoid having some aggressive process server harass me, and how to get all this off my record (without paying even more to hire an attorney)

I finally turned the rent and late fee in then told landlord I’d get the rest of the fees in soon.

15 min later landlord says the lawyer is backed up and hasn’t filed my paperwork with the court so I don’t have to worry about going to court/paying legal fees (which would have been 400+ thrown away)

Soooo thankful because they usually operate like machines and don’t care to help during hardships

I’m also grateful that the next couple weeks will be looking better for me financially and I will have more positive financial experiences

Thankful for the view of the moon last night. While I was driving the moon looked huge and it looked as if I was driving straight up to it. I tried to take a picture of it but my phone kept capturing car and street lights. At least I tried but it was a beautiful sight.

Grateful to take time off work for some me time. Staying home and not doing anything is the best thing ever! I love being home. I got to talk to my best friend for a few hours and I feel so much better. Last week was rough at work with it being the slow season. I needed to recharge and now I’m ready to get shit done.

There's a new SniffSpot less than 10 minutes away from us.

Also, we went to a new dog park today and my dog did very well. Idk why he had a couple bad episodes at our usual one, but I'm glad he's not becoming overtly aggressive or anything.

Off from work today on account of the holiday… because we don’t close for the holidays (except Christmas), whenever one does come up, we have to pick a day to take off. So I took today and came in to give a couple blocks of equestrian instruction instead. Which seems to be when I’m at my happiest. I love watching them the kiddos progress from being timid and scared of the horses to developing a mastery of their craft. Then from that to just going out and spending time with the others in this house. I’m grateful for days like this.

When I submitted my first mortgage applications, my middle credit score (the one they use for to create your interest rate) was 699. I was one account in collections, that is legit, with 2 out of the 3 credit bureaus. I vaguely remember disputing it once a long time ago, and I guess it was with Equifax which is the credit agency that doesn't show any negative accounts. I disputed with the other two tonight. I read that if you dispute, you have a very good chance of having even legit accounts removed because if they can't explicitly prove it is legit, they are required by law to remove it. And most agencies keep very poor records. Wish me luck. Even having it removed from 2 out of the 3 bureaus would be a huge help.

My dispute worked with Experian!!! My credit score jumped 97 points overnight!!! This is amazing!!!

They're finally here to fix the heater. Something has been wrong with it for the past 2 months because there's no reason my gas bill should be so high for my little 2 bedroom apartment. I have a friend who has a 3 bedroom house and my gas bill was higher. It turns out the fucker has been leaking heat out because maintenance installed something wrong.

Damn. I had the most glorious self care day today.
I have had my eye on this spa forever and finally perused the menu. I really needed a pedi anyway so I thought I'd go over there and try. Luscious. I love those FULL spas with steam room / shower / jacuzzi / lounge area with tea.

I used ALL of it. They came around and gave me a heated neck pillow ( a crescent shaped heavy one ) . Ahhhhhhhhhh. Yummmmmmmmm .

I had my eye on the place for years always assuming I couldn't afford to go.
The luxe pedi was $51 ( not a typo ) ! $63 out the door with tip.
I can't believe I didn't partake earlier. It is true I can't afford the massages ( I think they started at $170 ) but who cares. I'll go back and get more salon stuff over there to get access again soon. ;)

^$170 for half hour?!!

Shit! I feel like those thirsty ass men when I hear that price....does that come with happy ending?

carmen_b
01-24-2020, 09:17 PM
Actually I looked again and it was like $115 hour / $170 90 min. ! That is not even that bad but I love the spa ameneties so much.
I was so happy to find something on the menu under $100 to do there ! With those fancy spas getting a salon v.s. body treatment is always the key to get access for cheaper.

I'll bet a crisp benji or two would work for your " extra requirements " hahaha like those movies where the rich old ladies are saying to each other " oh, you must REQUEST KEVIN and ask for the special " .

^Omg I want to go to a spa sooo bad, reading that. Not just for Kevin. But maybe also for Kevin!

I'm grateful that I can send my dogs to doggy daycare today, and it's about half as expensive as I thought. :)

Also, I went outside without makeup today (I *always* wear makeup), and I have finally gotten rid of my acne/started using better skin care. Got some flirtation from a couple of cute dudes in my neighborhood. Hehe!

^^^awesome.

I made some money. It’s been so hard lately. I know I’ll be okay if I need to pay rent, but I don’t want to reach into my savings. I’m grateful for a good night at work with for the most part decent customers. A lot of the girls I work well with were working. So it made it for a fun and profitable night.

I'm grateful that after a long, scary, exhausting, and difficult 11 hours my daughter has made it into the world. She's only 6lbs,15 oz and 19 inches long but it was very difficult pushing her out. I feel so much relief now.
