I'm ok enough to be at home cuddling on the couch with my baby for my birthday. No hospital. Yay!

Although I just finished griping about my city, I'm still grateful that I live in a place with beautiful weather, lots of water and great scenery all year round. I'm thankful for my backyard and can't wait to see how it turns out in six months. ♥️

My husband decided on his own last night that he wants to give being vegan a try with me for health reasons. I'm so excited to not be doing this on my own anymore! Even if he's not "lifestyle vegan" and still eats an occasional cheat meal, I don't mind. I just want us to be healthier. I really do think it will help him cut the fat he wants to lose faster and help his cholesterol. He just legitimately didn't think he could get enough protein from a plant-based diet to do well in the gym and gain muscle, but all the plant-based athletes he's seen now, he realizes he could.
I'm just happy that we're on the same diet now, because it will make shopping and cooking so much easier, and fun. I won't have to just buy super budget items for myself to leave us money for his burgers, chicken, and tons of eggs. It will also inspire me to get up early to make us a fun breakfast and put the effort into cooking more elaborate meals that we can share together and show him the variety of recipes out there that he didn't know existed. It was kinda pointless when it was just me and I'm getting tired of my "basic" quick meals.
He got legit excited about it too. He was so pumped up that he wanted to start today, but we decided that it was silly for him to waste all the food he just bought and prepared, so he needs to finish it off this week and we'll shop together on Sunday. He was talking about how he was gonna switch to Almond milk today and try it out, and all the fresh vegetables he wants to buy because he knows he usually neglects veggies badly. It's always best if people come to these diet-based decisions on their own. I knew that me just cooking large batches of things and trying to get him to eat it would only result in throwing away leftovers that he neglects in the fridge... Need to ease him into the veggies though... if he suddenly can't poop for 4 days, he'll probably get real discouraged lmao

Federal tax return finally hit! And was actually bigger than I remember thinking it was going to be. I get paid tomorrow by one part-time job. And I found 20 bucks in my coat pocket yesterday! Also plan to get out and make at least $400 (fingers crossed) Ubering/Lyfting this weekend. Feeling abundant for the first time in a long time.

This reminded me, Food Network does vegan cooking- last weekend we watched them do a vegan Reuben sandwich.
Today I am grateful for coffee.

My sister came over to give me a ride somewhere and, after 10 seconds of listening to me vent, offered to buy me groceries. We left the store with $250 worth of meat, canned goods, toilet tissue, and water. I am so grateful.
I just received a PayPal notification that $360 is being sent to my bank account. Add that to what I already have and there’s the $500 bucks I wanted to make in order to fix my car. I am so grateful.

Grateful I go to the big package stores (i.e., Costco and BJ’s) and buy toilet paper and cleaning supplies in bulk. I didn’t in on the coronapanic, so I’d be shit out (pun unintended) if we ran out of tissue now. Don’t think that’ll be a problem, though.

How CRAZY lucky is that I happened to be at a family house WITH skilled preppers in a fully stocked house at this crazy time ?!?
These are times my family has been preparing for I guess. The timing was very random.
These people are amazing. Like .... we could Mad Max ourselves out of here into an area with no people in it just based on the gear we have right now and actually have a shot at surviving if it came down to it. I really owe them big because so much of the lack of fear I have surrounding the world going nuts right now is due to this surrounded support these people I 100% trust.

Weekends are so much better ever since I gave up on BBBS and my Little. I didn't even see her that often by the end of it, but it was constantly hanging over my head. And when I did see her, it was such a drain, the driving, paying for everything, her shitty and ungrateful attitude.

I don't use social media. And I wouldn't want to anyway, she's the worst of Gen Z. Literally lives and dies by her phone, it's pathetic. I never thought I could hate a kid so much.

I’m really doing as much gratitude work as possible. It’s kind of a survival skill I gotten really good at.
I’m grateful for another day above ground. This is an opportunity to really appreciate how precious life is. And truly grateful it’s 2019. Can you imagine dealing with this shit without modern medical care. Back when people thought diseases were caused by making God mad.

Tired and concerned about exposure, but I guess grateful that at least one of my jobs is pandemic-proof. I wouldn’t know what to do if I was in the group of people who are out of work or terrifyingly slow right now.

me too. My therapist talked me into doing camming. Wow she literally saved my life. I bought everything I needed before the pandemic to get it started. Wow am I grateful! I’d like to do some upgrades, but I don’t mess with my laptop when I rely on it to make money. I just think it’s so screwed up as a society to let anyone suffer right now. I don’t think the homeless can even go to the homeless shelter!

I'm grateful that I have toilet paper, food, and a warm, safe home. I see the rising number of deaths in my state every day and despite being cooped up at home for 7 weeks now, at least I'm not sick or dead and neither are my kids. I'm grateful for that.

I hit the official 15lb weight-loss mark today! Looking back at my first picture from 7 weeks ago, I can really see the difference. Told hubby this is actually the skinniest he's ever seen me. I was already 5+ pounds heavier than this when we first met.

Grateful for the opportunity to work from home. My student loans should come through if the whole world doesn’t go to shit before I finish school. I’m grateful it pays my rent because I don’t think I’m getting a stimulus check. Also, I won’t be dependent on my camming income for basic needs. I may have to live off beans and rice, but I’ll get through this.

My desert lover.
I feel I have been healed by a mystical desert Shaman. :)
It turns out I didn't need mushrooms or sage or anything complicated.
Just a little weed and him to play with me until I couldn't take it anymore.

Baby had her 2 month old checkup today. She is 11lbs 4oz which is right on track for her age. I'm grateful that she's growing as she should be, despite being exclusively breastfed. The pediatrician was anti-breastfeeding when I first took baby to see her because she thinks babies don't get enough to eat when they are breastfed. She still seems a bit skeptical to it. I love proving her wrong.

Grateful bills are paid. My student loan money went through, so as long as I get good grades my bills should be paid until the end of summer. Barely, but it’s better than nothing. I got a 1000 scholarship, so that helps. I’m grateful I have other sources of money besides camming. I did okay the first few weeks, but I’m about ready to lose my new girl status. Still made $500 in two weeks.

I am very grateful to have completed all my studies three months ago and to have started my dream job two months ago. I was still debating whether to see some clients on the side for a few months until the Fall. Seems like it no longer will be a question and I consider myself permanently retired, as I do not think the current situation will get better until then... I feel very grateful and lucky, as if it happened a couple of months ago, I would have been unable to complete my Bar (situation of some friends), my dream firm wouldn't even be hiring (hiring freeze at the moment), I wouldn't be able to strip or do erotic massages and would be on unemployment benefits. I am also extremely grateful that my work can be done very smoothly from home. I believe my father might have been watching over me.
I really hope things will get better soon in the world. I feel tremendously grateful, but I know I am in the minority.

Xstacey you’re super lucky with the timing of everything! My brother and his wife are in a similar boat, they moved back to the USA from abroad in January and started new jobs in February, in an expensive city. Brother is still working and SIL has a salary job to go back to when this ends. My family is very grateful that they got situated in time.
I’m one of the ones who was super close to finishing grad school and now delayed by a few months...I’m at peace with it though. I figure the job market will be more back to normal by the time I’m finally able to start applying.

I also got interviews for internships abroad and so glad they did not work out. Wouldn’t have been great to have to be repatriated from Europe, return home without a real job and unable to work in the sex industry, no money! Everything happens for a reason...
I really hope things will get better soon all around the world. I think workplaces and schools are getting familiarized with remote working/remote learning... So far everything at my work can be done remotely, I don’t see why it shouldn’t be the case with universities, especially in grad school, if you have a thesis to write, it seems like it would be the best time to finish everything! Although virtual graduations will suck lmao (I know the bar here did virtual calls to the Bar), I am hoping I won’t have to go through a virtual ceremony in the Fall, but it’s better than no ceremony at all for those who were unable to complete the Bar or find an internship... Keep us posted!

In my case it's not the coursework, that will be wrapped up in about a month, but I have one more clinical rotation to finish that has been canceled until further notice because hospitals and clinics aren't accepting students right now.

-Grateful that my ability to pay rent and other bills have never been at risk due to the current pandemic. I know others who can't say the same.
-Grateful that I was able to finish all of my homework AND pass my math test in time to get on cam today. Last week, I was swamped and missed out on so much money and failed two math quizzes. I needed this 72.
-Grateful that my daughter has finally been prescribed the necessary meds for her arthritis. Hopefully, in two years, she'll be in remission and won't have to worry about a lifelong schedule of medication.
