I finally sold the item that has been a magnet for endless annoying questions and timewasters. I'm so relieved to have that sold and gone now.

As much as I want to hate the giant conglomerate that is Amazon, I have to admit, they've really stepped up to take care of their employees. They've had free testing all day, every day for COVID for anyone who wants it. As soon as my results came back negative, they took me off the schedule for 14 days with pay - no arguments or hoops to jump through. They also did free flus shots for everyone. They give us a lot of free stuff too - For Thanksgiving, they gave everyone a $20 voucher for groceries, and really nice cloth masks that have the adjustable straps so the "one size fits all" actually fits my small face.

And now that I understand their time-off policies better, I have to say they are actually pretty darn generous.

I mean, the place is a warehouse - the work will always suck. I'll never feel "happy and fulfilled" doing the physical labor 10 hours a day. And I still don't agree with their break policies, but at least we are guaranteed our breaks and lunch, because they are very careful about following labor laws. My husband just started at a different company, and they will routinely skip his breaks and cut his lunch short because of how behind they are - super illegal, but the entire place seems like a shitshow. At least Amazon has a lot of their shit together.

Our shitty neighbors moved out yesterday! I don't know if they got evicted or just decided to leave on their own after the last threat of eviction, because they've been really quiet since then. Either way, thank god.

I am grateful that I not only stood up for myself with regards to how I was being treated, but meeting some awesome people who have been able to help me understand things better.
I felt like I was drowning and for those who are above my level to lend a hand when I was in deep water, has honestly been the light of my year. Cannot thank them enough!! <3

Today has been tough, but...I've had healthy food to eat, my daughter's emotional support animal is helpful, and my BF is super supportive.

For all this...I am grateful.

People have been really supportive since the fire. My sister sent $100 on Grubhub and $100 on an Amazon gift card to help out. My parents said they would help in anyway, and a lot of friends have reached out too. Even insurance has been great. I feel like they've been really good about telling us all the things we can ask them for and saying they will most likely replace furniture rather than just clean it. I think it completely not being our fault has made them more sympathetic.

Grateful to have minions who are taller than I am. Putting up Christmas lights was a breeze this year, especially having S (5’9”), the dancer whose sister works at the equestrian center and who I probably spend way too much time with (5’10”), my former roommate (6’2”), and a friend of my former roommate (probably 6’0”). Saved me a lot of ladder work.

I'm grateful for showers. I always feel renewed after a nice warm shower.

I second this. I took one this AM and exfoliated all skin and imagined the water washing off all negative energy from my body and it down the drain. That hot shower felt really good.

Some ppl don't even have running water. It's a blessing to have hot water. Super grateful.

Looking at the calendar I see 7 glorious days open. :)
^ That can change with a vacation rental but my dog and I are here now soaking up all the quiet we can .
We didn't waste any time.

Update : I'm greatly enjoying the quiet and he is enjoying the bed that has the best sun haha.

I am grateful that my covid-19 test came out negative and I continue to feel healthy. I'm also grateful for the one male roommate who came by to check on me to make sure I was emotionally okay as we had a problem in our household. There are like two guys here who are cool, the rest are just gross and lame. So I'm grateful for the two men here who are emotionally intelligent people.

I can't wait to have my own bathtub again. Before I moved I had my own tub and I miss taking lavender scented Epsom salt bath after work. Sometimes I would throw a THC bath bomb in there and oh Lordy it was awesome!

Same! With all this covid-19 stuff going on, I don't get my nails done anymore. Growing them out. Press on nails are great, I just wish they'd stayed on better! But I do like the way they look and they are so much easier than painting your nails.

I am grateful that I got hired to work as a Talent production assistant on a film set in Los Angeles. I go up there later this week. It's only for one day, but the director/ producer said he will probably have more work for me after the new year. If this is the case, I'm moving up there and working. It's a fun job because all I do is take care of my assigned actress/dancer and make sure they have everything they need to perform well. Plus it's really cool to watch performances live as they're filmed. It's great experience. And so far, the actresses I've taken care of have been really sweet and nice.

Grateful that quarantine meant I've had time to deal with fallout from the fire at our building. Grateful that the fire meant we didn't have to pay rent this month, giving us the extra money we needed for health insurance. It's all been frustrating but also a circle of silver linings.

Stephen Colbert lol, I used to be iffy on him actually. Liked some of his stuff but over lockdown I really found him comforting and sane. Just watched him and I am so grateful for him making me appreciate being able to rib the soon to be president and have me laugh without committing to nihilism.

Light display in downtown area. We saw too many non-mask wearing fuckers walking around so we weren't able to get out and walk around as planned. We had our masks with us but still. It made us feel uncomfortable so we stayed in the car. Regardless it was nice to at least get out of the house, even if all we did was drive around downtown.

My libido is finally back and I feel fertile AF!

I had a really rough few years between gaining a ton of weight from quitting smoking and stripping at the same time, and then finding out I had cervical cancer and needing a LEEP and cone biopsy to treat it. I lost my ability to have an orgasm at all for a while which was scary. I’m a sexual person so it messed with my self image to have that side of me taken away. Even if it was to save my life. And then with being over 30 and all the crap messaging society shoves down your throat, I thought my spark was just gone forever. Nope, 18 months of good old fashioned self care and self love brought it back!

Ready for the rest of my 30s to be sexy and fabulous!

Feeling very loved and spoiled. BF this morning took me shopping on Amazon for a leather jacket, cocktail dress, and boots. He bought them for our New Year's Eve trip. He legit sat there for over an hour searching with me and approving super cute stuff.

Sigh, he's a good guy and I feel uber grateful to have him in my life.

I'm grateful because tomorrow I go to Los Angeles to work on a film as a talent production assistant, which means my job is to take care of this actress and make sure she has everything she needs to do the best job that she can. We texted a little bit and she is a total sweetheart, thank God. This is one step closer to achieving my dreams so I can't help but be a little nervous about it too. I'm excited though. This will be fun. And I get paid at the end of the day in cash. Woohoo! It's not much, but I'm not doing it for the money so much as I am doing it for the experience and for the connections.

After reading the roommate support thread again, I’m especially grateful I’m able to choose who I live with. Right now, aside from me, there’s my sister, the Irish woman, the Amish girl, and S. And I suppose two more by default. There’s S’s girlfriend, who doesn’t take up any space and the one dancer whose sister works at the equestrian center still rents an apartment with her sister, but really only goes there to cam and pick up mail, otherwise she’s here, at work, or we’re out and about doing something.

S’s girlfriend has an uncle who owns some apartment buildings, and offered them a place when the current tenants move out in February at a pretty highly discounted rate, so they’ll be moving. Really don’t want to see them go, but they probably do need a little more privacy than what they’re offered here.

That sounds like a really interesting gig!

It's actually a lot of fun! I worked with this director a year ago and he was very cool and respectful and I learned a lot from him as far as the way he dealt with his cast and crew. Which is good because we all know that there are a lot of creeps in that industry. I actually got the job because I told him that aside from having done some acting, I was also an exotic dancer for 15 years. As a dancer, I told him, you have to learn how to pay attention and read people well, know how to anticipate people's needs. And you have to remain positive on the job. I also told him about the book that I'm writing and how I'm hoping to make it a film soon. Then he offered me the job lol! And he's never been creepy about it either. One of The Producers I'm working with is also an actress, and I worked with her last year too. She asked me to give her pole dancing lessons haha. Definitely a cool group, not weird or judgmental at all. So I'm definitely grateful for that. Because we all know how annoying people can be when they find out that you're a stripper.

My old roommate came back in part to get some personal items which had been stashed away at his parents’ house since he’d moved to Colorado, because he only took what he could pack into the Blazer he was driving at the time. They bought a property in Virginia and are building their retirement home there, so they’re clearing out a bunch of stuff. I knew his mother before he left the state, but we really hadn’t kept in touch, although we did bump into each other a couple times. So, he knew S and her girlfriend were going to be moving out in the near future, and he saw a bunch of things his mother and stepfather were clearing out which would be of use to them, so he earmarked a bunch of stuff for them from that, which we just picked up today. His mother used to sell Pampered Chef, so there was some of that, plus they got a dresser which used to be his younger brother’s, a bed frame with box spring and mattress, some linens, a toaster oven, an electric griddle, a couple lamps, a vacuum cleaner, some other kitchen utensils… it was quite a haul, especially for two teenagers. On top of that, Instant Pots were on sale, so he bought one of those for them as an early Christmas present.

I second being grateful for Tylenol.

I'm also very grateful that my gig in Los Angeles went well today. The actress I took care of was cool and overall it was a good shoot. I worked a 12-hour day. Tired now. But I also got paid $100 more than I thought I would get so that was cool too. Very grateful. Hopefully there will be more gigs like this.
