A 3-bedroom unit at one of the apartment complexes that we really liked has an opening the third week of January. I submitted our application just now, and am super excited if we can move there. There was another electrical fire in another building in our complex a couple days ago - something is super fucked with the electric in the entire place, and I think it will be a way bigger mess than anyone thought previously. Best to just get out.
Also, the cleaning people that insurance sent boxed up literally everything we own and is disposing of most of the furniture (most can't be saved from the smoke damage). So, they'll hold on to our stuff and deliver it to wherever we go. And then we'll just buy new furniture and have it delivered. It saves me all the packing and moving of stuff that I was DREADING when we were going to move this summer. So, honestly, this is fucking fantastic.

Even though I over slept and didn't work 5 hours like I had planned. I am still grateful that I still got up and worked 2 hours.

Today I'm grateful that on a freezing December morning I don't have to leave the house to work. No travel time and no getting stuck in traffic and wasting hours a week just going to and from work. Very grateful for this!

Grateful for free therapy. I went to my sex worker support group and it’s was just me and the leader, so I got basically free one on one therapy.
She said she’s making a gingerbread whore house instead of a regular gingerbread house for Christmas...lol.

I saved up enough points from a survey place to redeem for a $25 Doordash gift card. I have free food on the way!

Grateful boyfriend did not get selected to do jury duty this month (it could have possibly extended into next month.) His telling of the whole selection process was somewhat hilarious.

Rainbow for having cheap polo shirts, $30 for 5. I only need them for my seasonal vanilla remote job if a customer wants to video chat. I don't give a shit if they're not fancy or name brand at this point because this vanilla job is already costing me $400 in out-of-pocket expenses and I haven't even started working yet. Woohoo for cheap clothes! lol

Today was the first real snow there has been while I've had my dog and he LOVED it so much. I don't think he's ever seen snow before because he's fascinated and completely enthralled. He usually doesn't whine to go out until he knows it's time but he was begging all day today and he's been obsessed with looking at the window. It's the cutest thing ever. He was hopping in it the whole time we were outside.

Super grateful for a great night of sleep. I've been having trouble getting deep sleep and often times feel tired when I've slept 8 hrs.
I have a Fitbit and I got a sleep score of 89 which is the second highest score I've even gotten since having it 8 months now and I got almost 2 hrs of deep sleep!!! Unheard of as I usually get like 45-55 min of deep sleep.
I had a bad day yesterday. BF usually sleeps on his side of my bed when he comes over and I on my side, but last night I fell asleep right next to his body which put me RIGHT to sleep and I slept so hard lol.
I feel amazing as a result. Super grateful for good sleep!

Good sleep is everything.
Grateful I live near hiking trails so I can go run away from everyone and be quiet in nature and at peace. Grateful that I ran 50 min in the woods.
I feel good.

Well, I didn't have to shovel after all. I was gathering up the trash since baby had laid down for a nap, when I heard something outside and when I looked, my quirky next door neighbor was out there in a long, long-sleeved dress, boots, and a scarf shoveling my snow. She took off once I came outside. This particular neighbor is a middle-aged lady and kind of like a hermit. I actually thought she had moved out because I haven't seen her come or go, no lights on, no trash out at the curb or anything for several months. The last time I saw her was back in May when she was watching me with the baby from her window. That was unexpected that she shoveled my snow.

Today I was angry at one of the workers who showed up at my house. He brought his crew. But we had a heart to heart (I KNOW). I want to do him so bad. LOL. I'm gonna keep my feelings in and walk away from this. LOL

L seems serious about studying for the test for the higher paying career.
He admitted that he was looking at some houses in a pretty nice neighborhood and wanted to make sure if we move together we have enough space for a baby
He told me to bring him the study guide.
I hope this sparks him to rise to the occasion.

I’m so great-full to the podcast I listened to early this morning. It’s from https://www.theminimalists.com/ and had Dave Ramsey on one segment. When he said “Let this be your “Never Again” moment...” I had to sit in silence and embrace it.
I once flew with this Captain, who was on his I can’t even remember WHICH marriage. We were in Lauderdale, drinking cocktails by the pool and talking about life. He said, “Every five years, I lose it all. Like I’m in a 5-year cycle and I’m riding high and then it all goes to shit and I have to start all over again...”
Let 2020 be your NEVER AGAIN year, ladies. Let it all go to shit and remake your life into what you’ve always dreamed it could be!
Be bold. Be brave. Be blessed ♥️

Never thought I'd say this but I'm grateful today for the Teletubbies show. As creepy as those characters are, baby has been teething and grumpy, hollering and whining all morning. I gave her teething gel and teethers but nothing appeased her so she resorted to slapping and biting me. While flipping through the channels we came across this and she immediately stopped fussing, and started smiling and laughing.

I had a nice day . A couple of days with J and then left his place this morning and did some plant shopping. The garden guy at Lowes gave me this huge pine wreath and table arrangement for free haha.
I went for a scenic drive and then went and had a good cheese burger. :)
It was just nice to enjoy a day.
I backed myself into a corner knowing I'd need to work a lot tomorrow and just didn't care.

I just replaced my phone about three months ago and I almost lost it again when walking the dog. But I retraced my steps and finally found it when I was nearly ready to give up. So relieved!!! It's such a hassle to replace because I need to receive a new sim card in the mail each time.

Think it’s cute seeing customers through the little peer hole at my door in hotels wearing masks. Always like a sneak preview.
So down for working in Buena Park lately. LA has too many Covid cases in comparison. I am tired of Santa Ana, Costa Mesa, Irvine. It’s been too long of a drive and expensive.

I’m thankful for the ladies (and handful of guys here) who have been helpful n support especially during the times I felt like I was stressed, upset, confused or whatever.
Hope all y’all have good holidays
I'm grateful for being able to have a decent Christmas even with everything happening. My kid allowed me to play Santa 1 more time even though they will be driving soon. I get to track Santa 1 more year while they're tucked in bed while I wrap gifts and wake them and the dog and gobble some cookies in the early morning to see what was brought. Im blessed.
