Personally, I think football is fucking weird as hell. And excruciatingly boring, when the sound is off. When the sound is on, I am outta there before I throw a brick at the TV.
But I am outnumbered by untold millions of rabid fans.

You're obviously just trying to turn me on at this point. Shameless. Shameless!

FYI while we don't expect you guys to be "automatic customers", we shouldn't have to compete with a television screen. Just because the owner allows it, doesn't mean it's the right thing to do. When customers are watching sports, girls will approach them and believe me, it's a waste of time and energy if they don't want a dance, so why the hell contribute to our struggle? Men who come to strip clubs to watch sports are so damn inconsiderate. If you intend on spending money later, watch the sport at home and come to the club later, it's really not that complicated. But no, you men prefer to watch it surrounded by hot chicks; well news flash buddy, you sports watchers kill us.

You are a customer and your money has to be earned. Now, in fairness, this comment comes from a guy who doesn't follow sports and finds them mind-numbingly boring, but sweet jeebus how awful does a dancer have to be when you'd rather watch dudes throw a ball than look at a half-naked woman!
LOL!! Several years ago, I went to a club during the Super Bowl, thinking it would no one would be tipping/buying dances and I could have my pick of lovely dancers. There was one dancer who came to the stage who absolutely blew me away! Only 1 or 2 other customers at the stage, so I made it rain to show her she had my attention. Lots of ones, with some 10's and maybe a $20 thrown in. At the end of her set, I asked for some private dances. I probably would have bought at least 10. She said she would love to, but a guy had just offered her $1000 to watch the game with him (it was just starting). Fortunately, there were some other really good dancers, and I spent my money on one of them.

Salz, hon, why are you getting so p*ssy? You asked, we answered. Great thread & Gifs, btw.:)
Sophie, excellent story. Wow.:'(
Oh, & DJoser, I love you for hating football!
Fun fact: I dated a couple guys that hated sports, so to annoy them, I'd turn on the games & zone out. They wd flip their shit & Id laugh my ass off}:D..I guess I was doing the @home version of your stripper, Salz.

^^^^ Whirlerz, you're right that he asked, & you all answered … but I see several of the girls in this thread getting much pissier in their responses than Sal has been in asking his questions. He's remained respectful & intelligent in his enquiries, but sm of you are really coming down hard on him. Who gets nxt turn w/ the switch to keep beating this dead horse? I think sm times it is easy for us to forget, that a customer who isn't as deep in the industry wouldn't necessarily be aware of the troll-logic employed by many SC mgrs to make business decisions.

^I get what you're saying. I'm sure a lot of customers don't realize how much game days can suck for us-and it's not all their fault, but the whole subject of this thread is just silly to me and I can't take it seriously. I'm sorry....A guy complaining about a girl looking at him......oh noooooes! I get stared at all the time-in the club and out. Maybe she just thought he was cute?.

A couple of the girls I work with the do the "sexy stare" followed by what they feel to be enticing positions. They sit close to the customer and refuse to move lol.

One of the guys I dated, (that hated sports) would go to the beach & sit down beside a girl he thought attractive. Wouldn't say anything. If she spoke, he'd talk to her, otherwise he'd get up & leave.
He would collect a bunch of phone #'s, then throw them away, & get more the next day. This was after a recent divorce.

actually at an old club of mine we weren't allowed to even look at customers before they had their drinks because girls would stare them down in what they thought was a sexy alluring gaze but actually freaked out customers lmfaoooo

I kinda agree w/ those who can't take the 'don't stare at meeeee!' attitude so seriously … at the same time, the club lighting can make it easy to misread facial expressions. Sm ppl also simply can't pull off the 'sultry seduction from a distance' look to save their lives.

LOL! You guys don't want this thread to die, admit it. We're having too much fun in here!
OP, was she staring at you like this dog?

Here's an idea, OP. Next time a dancer stares at you like that, try to outdo her by giving her the "Samuel L. Jackson stare"!

Remember, in the vast majority of clubs, dancers have to pay their house fees whether they make money or not. The more girls working, the more the club makes from their individual house fees (whether the dancers themselves make any real money or not is of no consequence to the club itself). The dancers' earnings are usually separate from the money the club makes from alcohol sales (ever notice how alcohol is exorbitantly expensive in all strip clubs? yeah, that money ain't going towards lining the strippers' pockets).
Thus, the owners enjoy short-term revenue boosts when they add distracting "I'm a MAN, and this is mah MAN CAVE!" paraphernalia to their clubs (TVs, gambling machines, pool tables). These things ostensibly bring more customers in, which increases the club's alcohol sales. Obviously, this game plan is problematic in the long run for both the dancers and for the club, but that's a discussion for another thread.
Well, TV's do bring in more guys. All things being equal, I will go to a club with sports on a TV over one that doesn't have one, any day of the week. Sometimes, I may watch a game. Other times I may just watch when a dancer on stage isn't my type. Having a TV there is a life saver when there is a fugly dancer on stage. Having the TV there lets me switch to that. Otherwise, having to watch the fugly is a real mood kill for me.
But, I'll still spend the same amount on dances/tips before I leave, so the dancers don't lose any money by the TV being there. I'm sure it's frustrating for the dancers, and there may be some guys there who won't spend. But those are the type of guys who would still come to watch the free show and not spend on dancers anyway, so I don't think it really affects dancer income.
As to the topic, the staring dancer is something I've never seen. Usually, a dancer will ask before sitting at my table. If she just sits down, she will usually pick up the hints that I'm not interested very quickly and move on. Me thinks the OP protests too loudly, and this is just a case of "she's still here with me, so she must really like me."

Honestly, I've stared down customers not spending any money, during a game or not. They're not even looking at the stage and most places I've worked required a stage show unless it was empty. There's plenty of sports bars and guys are more than welcome to come in for a post game celebration or to drown the sorrows of a loss in lap dances.

That I could understand, if I wore one. Bald as cue ball (naturally), started going bald at 17 so I don't see the point in hiding it.
In any case last night I saw the dancer doing the same thing to another customer that was sitting at the tip rail. I asked the bartender if that was just her style. She told that she does that to customers, staff or dancers that annoy her in some way or another. Her way of trying to annoy them back.

I never realized it was such a sore point for dancers. Watch a game, have a few drinks, see scantily clad girls (not the cheerleaders on the tube), get a few dances after and then go home. Just seemed to me to be nice relaxing way of spending a Sunday, not to mention not having to clean dishes after the game. Other than the aforementioned dancer, none of the others ever said or did anything to indicate they didn't like it.

I don't get annoyed by girls approaching me during the game. I will actually go up to the tip rail during the game to tip a dancer on the stage if she catches my eye with her routine. It was just that one. I guess what creeped me out was the stare and the no reaction to anything I said.
