Hey all,

Long time reader, first time poster haha.

Can I ask anyone that has grown their own social media profiles instagram, twitter, email list what difference it made to their income?

Seems to me if you can grow your own brand/following it won't matter what platform or software you use you will always have your followers that will continually spend for your time ect.

Obviously Facebook and Twitter do not want you paying for advertising on their network but there are millions of ad spots available in niches like milf, bondage, fake tits ect to build your following and brand around who your market is.

Would be interested to hear peoples take on this as there seems to be a lot of opportunity here.

Well you just answered your own question. Build your own brand and you are truly independent and can follow up with contacts so when they are ready to buy they buy from you and become loyal fans over time.

Thanks Miss A.P1600

So I guess my question is what percentage of cam girls / dancers do this?

Thanks again for your help Miss a.p1600

Just seems like a no brainer to me. You can literally pay some ad networks $150 and have your service/face in front of 100,000 men that are in your city or that are interested in your niche.

Best part is you are advertising just you and your brand and not the thousands of other girls in your network.

Maybe I have said too much :)

Oh the main question is how many regular customers do you need to make bank?

How much do they spend on you? 100? 300 a month for your average guy, more or less?

Once you can get an idea of what each regular is bringing in for you a month it is just a matter of breaking down how many regulars you need to make your ideal monthly wage.

Once you know what they spend on you then you can work out what you can spend to get a new fan.

There is no shortage of men out there needing attention and getting new fans can be done it's just a matter of putting your service in the right places.

I don't understand your theory. Who are you going to pay $150 to? Is this for dancing? porn? or camming?

Social media is world WIDE, not a local area type of thing. Since most men use anonymous names on social media and on cam sites you can't track how much they spend on a monthly or even yearly basis.

You want the kind of stats regular businesses pay for customer acquisition but in adult there is NO company or pr firm that can really get you the fan base or new clients. Nor does any social media allow adult to do paid adverts on their sites.

Social media does pay off, I have seen my camming income quadruple once I started posting more pics & interacting on twitter. Facebook does NOT convert. Tumblr some and instagram is a bonus.
I do NOT keep track of what each customer spends on me or where they found me. I also have 15 years of porn under my belt that built my brand and fan base. When I cam, I get new customers & see my regulars on a daily bases. I concentrate on making money but not on how much each individual spends on me. Who has time for that? Especially since they can change those made up names at will.

Who are you going to pay $150 to do this for you? What guarantee do they have it will get you new customers that will spend $$$. Cause most of the men on social media want free pics, free videos and free sex. Along with all the guys who want free everything are the haters who can be our most devoted of fans. How will you deal with the stalkers? Plenty of them out on the web too.

How many regular customers do you need to bank? TONS you can't depend upon any of them for a monthly amount at any time. Customers come and go, being a great performer that men can't wait to give their money to you no matter if they are new or regulars is the KEY!

I'll try to phrase this carefully because I don't want it to come across in the wrong way ..

- Publicity, via paid search engine placement, via active social media, or by whatever means, will result in increased TRAFFIC. It may not result in increased customer spending = earnings.

- As is also the case in fashion, in upscale retail goods, even in smart phones, building a brand not only requires getting the 'name' out there, but also actually offering something to potential customers which is above average / out of the 'ordinary' / distinctly recognizable.

This popped up on Xbiz forum today. Highly suggest you look into the people who hire them social media sites to see how well it worked for them.

Have no idea if it works or not, or if it converts into sales.

Twitter ad Instagram are winners
The key to building a following is INTERACTION.
You cant just throw something up and expect a fan base to come of it.

My advice is to interact, ask questions, get opinions etc etc-your fans need to feel like they are part of something exciting.

Social is a fickle game so put your energy int creating great content

Ahhh this is the question to my answer.

I was going to say if you can spend 50 - 100 dollars on clicks and get a thousand people into your webcam room over the day it would boost sales or your exposure. I thought that would be something people would be interested in.

I did not know how much work was involved haha.

Thanks a tonne for your answers, obviously you can tell I am new to this.
