Went there as a customar last week. Almost all the clubs were packed and girls seemed to be getting tipped a lot on stage. Thinking of maybe trying to work there....

went where as a customer last week? the mansion? Candy's? or the french quarter clubs? We werent sure if you were following the conversation or thread topic?
All of our friends in the other clubs say it sucks just as bad for them as it does for us. Its picking up a little but September/October is when it should get good again, Fingers crossed.
At least 3 clubs have soft hiring freezes until NFL week 1, early september.
With Deja, Temptations, Lipstixx, Dixie divas, and Ricks saloon all gone over the last year or so....
Leaving only Penthouse, Ricks, Hustler, Barely, Scores, Stilletos and KamaSutra
Even if the clubs that closed werent somewhere YOUd ever consider working....
40% of clubs closed in the last year means that EVERY club has a huge influx of girls
NOT only trying to take the best of those clubs dancers...
but also that every new girl to hit town with stories of bourbon street and cinema fueled dreams of their future wealth as well
Meanwhile, in the streets women are flashing for beads, and twerking dudes for instagiggles
and everybody is swiping into hotel rooms instead of VIP
Winter is coming,
Hopefully this one has MORE MONEY and LESS RAIDS!

omg i did dance at the Mansion. it was SO busted y'all. grimy, roaches, peeling paint, etc. 3 girls including me and 2 customers from 7pm-2am, no one sold *anything* but there's only a bar to dance on (Visions style) so we did each go home with abt $20 in tips. it was fun for the experience (it has two swimming pools you can sell by the hour, VIP style) and the girls were very nice and fun to hang out with so I wasn't hating it but i would never ever go back. two lap dance booths which were just chairs in a tiny concrete cubicle with a curtain. high house fees on weekends and you have stay until 4:30am minimum.
i am broke as hell so gonna drag my ass over to barely i guess. i have expired contracts there and hustler so hoping they'll just let me squeeze back in.

Thanks for the review. I had always wondered. The Mansion sounds it would be a fun dive if there was money there.

^^^ visited all clubs on bourbon street. Definitely penthouse seemed to have the best vibe. The strangest one (forgot the name), but it was advertised as topless and bottomless (although i heard no clubs are bottomless in Louisiana). The cashier was very vague about what bottomless meant and tried to avoid answering. But this club was across the street from kama sutra. Both hustler and hustler barely legal was very busy at night. We also went during the day to barely legal and it was empty with maybe three girls working on day shift.

you don't need a license. idk about travel friendly and there's no "playhouse" so it's probably penthouse

so apparently girls that do "strip club burlesque" are blacklisted from bourbon street clubs? and holly tamale has some legal strip club pop up thing now??? the times are wild.
Undercover officers finger girls at the Mansion before a raid (https://www.theadvocate.com/baton_rouge/news/communities/livingston_tangipahoa/article_df7ee444-aca0-11e8-a6fb-9f776e03c16d.html)

On/around Bourbon Street: Rick's Cabaret, Hustler, Barely Legal, Penthouse, Stiletto's, Scores. I think Big Daddy's and Kama Sutra are open but I know very little about those clubs. There's also Hunk Oasis , a male strip club.
In the outskirts/suburbs: Visions in New Orleans East, Nola Cabaret in Metairie, Scuttlebutt in Slidell, Scores West on the Westbank. I'd recommend Visions or Nola Cabaret from that list.

Isn't Visions defunct? They were selling a building.

You're thinking of Passions. They're right across the street from Visions.

There is also Showcase which as far as I know has escaped any raids. Also I forget if it is Club Rain or Rain Lounge which is also in the East.
She She's in the East is also still open.
There is also Ace of Spades downtown. Very much open and has not been raided. They seem to get a crowd usually.

VERY curious to hear from anyone who has worked recently at: She She's, NOLA Cabaret, Rain Lounge, Ace of Spades, Scuttlebutt, Scores. All my off-Bourbon friends dance at Visions.
I've been at Rick's Cabaret and it's quite nice. My Hustler friends are mostly moving over to Penthouse, both NOLA and Baton Rouge.

Why's that? whats going on at hustler? rates went way up and they’re now taking 40-60% or so I’m told, plus you can’t take top Off during dances or rooms anymore, have to dance on a pedestal etc.

The cuts for rooms at Hustler are ridiculous. I don't even try to sell them. You can do better stacking dances (one for $40, you keep $30, three for $100, you keep $75). You have to keep your top on for one-way contact dances. If you take it off, that's when you have to dance on the pedestal (scary AF). But those same rules are in effect at Penthouse and Rick's too I think.
Idk, I still do well at Hustler. The stage money there is amazing.50897

She She’s,The Showcase,Spades,& Rain are all urban.
She She’s always did have extras, but it’s worse now.
The Showcase-I haven’t went in awhile, but when I worked there it wasn’t bad. More regulars crowd and kind of busy on weekends.
Spades-wants ridiculous house fees along with other fake fees.
Rain is okay, my stripper friend works there occasionally.

Oh, okay. Thanks, I guess. I was/am going just before Mardi Gras before ruling New Orleans out, since the other club hasn't been good. And I don't wanna waste my time if they won't hire me, while they seem to have lower hiring standard than the clubs I got hired in New York and Las Vegas. So annoying.

I saw an average-looking, older woman who didn't do her hair or make-up wearing pretty tacky attire, bad boob job And not in great shape get hired. And here I am prepared months exercising with great abs, make up/nail done, beautiful gown. And no? Maybe the hair And gown was a little too much? I will try again. If not, good riddance. They're not about to waste my time anymore.

I'm driving cross country in April and NOLA is one of my stops. I plan to spend 2 days there. I might turn the experience into a strip trip, but I also might want to relax and spend my time more like a vacation/road trip and cam from my Airbnb to offset some of the costs.
I'm debating between Rick's and Penthouse. Those Hustler cuts are absolutely insane and I make a lot of money from rooms, so no thanks. I'm going to be there on a Friday and a Saturday, so there should hopefully be some good money potential.

Maybe the hiring manager was showing sympathy to her since he already knew I was hired at the other club/a and could only hire one.

Some clubs will overlook age and cosmetic issues (to a point) if they know the dancer is seasoned enough to push drinks (liquor sales quotas) plus is experienced enough to do stage correctly and communicate with the DJ if she goes to VIP.
Hey will you ladies give Mardi Gras updates? I'm curious to see how this year is.....

Okay. I didn't think age would be the issue , her coming in unprepared and there being entertainers who invested in their look and sell VIP and she getting hired over that entertainer. And yes, that makes sense too. Plus I don't like stage. I would rather just pose or stand there swaying, covering my boobs or my back to if the customer is just staring at me and not spending on me. I don't have a lot of tolerance with the guys And to sit with the customer while he isn't indicating to spend on me. And I have issues with the DJ giving me like less than 2 mins to get to stage when I have to wait for the elevator or climb down three stories of stairs or I just can't hear him from the speakers by being somewhere else.
Maybe I need to work on that...?
Thank you for responding. Gives me a better understanding.

Follow. Once I tick off Nola and Austin, my USA " cities to strip in " list will be complete.
ah, damn, forgot about Portland, gotta do at least a night there.
Nola questions for any who may take it : I'm a cheap ass traveler so will stay in a hostel probably. Any particular one you might recommend next to LOTS of clubs ( so I can walk at least TO work if not both ways such as within a few blocks ).

City House in Nola.
And Austin really doesn't have hostel that you can walk from clubs. In Portland, the clubs close in proximity to the room-accommodation downtown may involve the train or uber.

Mardi Gras has not been great for me or my friends. The clubs are saturated with out-of-town girls, and I am concerned about how they'll recoup their travel costs. Bourbon Street has been packed, but the clubs are slow. And the customers who do come in are not there to spend money. I feel like they're buying wristbands so they have a place to pee. Also, I know one girl whose drink got roofied and another who got assaulted in the Quarter on her way in to work. Lots of dancers are laying low until after Mardi Gras.
I was going to work tomorrow but I think I'll take the day off and just enjoy costuming and going to the parades instead.
EDIT: On a positive note, I did do quite well overall this weekend, thanks mostly to a great private party. I feel like the good money in New Orleans during Mardi Gras is in the private parties.

I am no longer a dancer of the last 4 years -but my experience w/ Mardi Gras dancing has never been great. Jazzfest, Halloween, etc was better when I danced. Now in general, i wouldn't know -I don't hear great things from the dancers in general anymore down here. I will say that the us providers are pulling strong (escorts, dommes, bodyrub girls). I pulled about 3.5K last week and still had time to go out & drink & have fun. So I can def see where a private party girl would do well like WD said. I think Mardi Gras is just a different demographic

Yeah, it does seem like there's no more cities or clubs that are great anymore. Or at least moving for.

With the busts and the baby stripper law in action, does that altogether kill it for an 18-20 year old stripper in or around NOLA? Not sure if every club is 21+ or if certain clubs in the area do 18+ still, the ones that are now BYOB for example. I would appreciate the help on that because I'm going to be living in NOLA, and this all kinda happened after that was set in stone for me, so as an 18 year old I'm now kind of shot in the foot.

21+ Statewide now (again) :(
I’m at the cabaret again and it’s been the deadest I’ve ever seen. Penthouse reportedly slowish but steady, but my tattooed ass will never know

I'm looking to travel to New Orleans this weekend (auditioning tomorrow hopefully), and although I haven't danced here yet, I've been calling around and so far only Penthouse said that they allow touching, to the dancer's preference. Are any other clubs currently allowing 2-way contact?

i'm coming down from New England for Halloween this year, is it even worth trying to dance somewhere for a night or two while i'm visiting?
it'd be cool to make a little money but i'm still new to dancing and it's not essential for me on this trip
