Always wait on major OS software updates to make sure other software is compatible for it before updating. Logitech will get an patch out soon, they are a good company when it comes to keeping their products up to date.

The update rate is normally pretty slow cause it's a huge file. Don't turn off your computer in the future when it's updating. This is a great way to corrupt your current installment of Windows. Update at night when you are sleeping or if you have to go out and run some errands.

Yeah and make sure restore is on. And always take a system image on windows10. Last thing you want is the infinate hard drive repair loop as its unfixable if you havent got a system backup

I had to go into my system updates, remove the latest version of 1607, both my Logitech webcams stopped working afterwards, restored it, no problems. C920 and 9000 back up and running. You just have to remove the auto update

well i just read this from the site that xbellax posted "That’s the good news, the bad news is that there is not a temporary fix to hold everyone over until the patch is released and since you now only have 10 days to rollback your update, for most users, they are stuck on the Anniversary build." shit. shit. shit. I tried recording yesterday through my windows movie maker, but the video came out pretty hazy. Any suggestions on how to record videos while I wait for the fix?

Yeah some claim enableframe decile 0 or something in regedit but it doesnt work.

You are better off just rolling back and defer updates until they fix it. which amazingly didnt work on my video editing pc

I was able to roll back and restore my previous version of Windows 10. I suggest you all do that.

Just a quick heads up. Microsoft force updated my camming pc this morning to the dreaded update. So looks like we cant avoid the update much longer.

It bricked my pc and lucky i had a install usb however it looks like a ton of improvement. They fixed the damn system and compressed memory issue so the cpu is not bogged down with it.

I don't want windows 10...as I understand it, you can't use Movie Maker with it, and I rely on that for my clips. I have Adobe editing software but I hate it.

my computer has the update and I still have movie maker on it, I just opened it up and it looks like normal. I haven't tried editing anything with it since the update so idk if you would run into any bugs. When I first got the update there were issues with my logitech webcam but then I got another update that fixed that.

You have to download it as part of the microsoft pack.

However openshot is a great movie editor

http://www.openshotvideo.com/?m=1

Lots of youtube support of it as well.

Windows 10 isnt all bad. Just sucked getting up at 3am and didnt get on until 6am as i had to re set up all the software for cam.

For the webcam download the gamer thing not the drivers. As the old webcam software still doesnt work

Windows 98 i think was the last os we actually owned. The forced update shit is stupid. they hide so many processes that its a bitch to turn off all the features you dont want. Like global timezones on a desktop. I dont take my desktop on holiday why would it need a auto timezone checker. Lol

The update wont happen the free windows 10 update has passed for windows 8

However you can just buy a key and fresh install windows 10 64bit pro for like $10.

I had to reset my laptop last week and when it did movie maker was gone. Microsoft did away with it as of Jan. 10th. But you can still get the download for Microsoft Essentials here and just decide what components you want from it, like Windows Movie Maker. http://wl.dlservice.microsoft.com/download/C/1/B/C1BA42D6-6A50-4A4A-90E5-FA9347E9360C/en/wlsetup-web.exe
