Thoughts on new "Solo" trailer: I dunno. I mean it looks good, I guess. I'm just not super excited about it. I can't not see a Star Wars movie in the theater.
Emilia Clarke, though.

I only ever watch the first trailer that comes out. I'm tired of knowing the plot before the movie. So, I haven't seen the new one yet. I definitely plan to see the movie though, if only because I'm a completionist and I've seen all the others.

I cannot conceive of a Universe in which Emilia Clarke is not good. She'll bring a lot to this movie.

Im with you on the solo thing.. im a SW whore if there ever was one, im the sort of rabid fangirl that can rattle off the specs of a Corellian Engineering Corporation YT-2000 light freighter ( the 1300 is overplayed and the 2400 is just too lacking in personality for me.. sorta like Dash Rendar >.> ) yeah i went there. so books, games going all the way back ( favorite being X-wing Alliance followed by Kotor1) books, cartoons, movies ( even the horrid ewok ones ) yadda yadda ive been through the ups and downs of the franchise...
I LIKED rogue one for what it was, i knew not to attach it to the main Saga.. but Solo is....hmmm...... I know " new Canon " basically wrote over the two different Han Solo trilogy series and all, but in a way i feel a little " less" interested if that makes sense... the whole director issue and constant reshoots of the majority of the film now under Howard?...I've got a Baaaaaad feeling about this

Wow. I definitely don't know that much about Star Wars! I've seen all the movies but that's it. I've briefly read some of the comics (loved them!) but I have so many comics on my plate already that I didn't want to add another. That is very impressive though, and that's no exaggeration. Dare I ask what side of the aisle you fall on The Last Jedi?

im in a weird place someplace in between. there are things i loved and things i didn't, there were parts i thought SHOULD have been done differently, but i can understand alot of the time why they approached some of the things the way they did. A few scenes or sub plots i felt were utterly pointless to the point of just being padding, however thats not to say I didnt enjoy them to a point. So I guess lo9ng story short, as a fangirl of all things SW i was entertained and not really offended or upset at what was there in any real way...i loved parts, didnt others... but as a artist, animator, illustrator comic artist etc....I can get why they made alot of their choices in how things were shot or why so, yeah. im in a weird spot

I hope the new Solo doesn't imitate Harrison Ford. Han Solo is cocky, arrogant and a rogue, but the new actor doesn't have to imitate Harrison Ford's version of Han Solo. TBH, I think it's too soon to get the audience use to a new Han Solo. They should have done a Lando movie. He's such a great character and we don't know that much about him. Is there a Lando book?

I saw Justice League three times this weekend, why are people so down on this movie? I read DC comics, but I don't feel like I'm apologizing for the movie. TBH, I can't see an Aqua Man movie. Jason Mamoa is so fricking hot, he's my celebrity cheat guy, but full length movie, I don't think so. Flash and Cyborg are such a great characters for sure. They would make good movies. Batman is my favorite, but he is so out of his element in this movie. Plus this version is like the Lego Batman. Maybe I'm expecting too much after the Christian Bale version.

That makes perfect sense, and I completely agree. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the movie. Sure, if I go back with a critics eye, I can find flaws. But, I watch movies to be entertained, and I was very entertained! Some of the choices made in the film appealed to me that offput many others. I think too many people had answered the hanging plot threads in their minds and when the actual story went a different way, they got mad about it. I'm excited for the next film for sure. And these little non-trilogy films in the meantime are a good way to be entertained in the meantime.

I don't get the hate for JL. Superman's return felt a little hurried, but they were stuck unless they dedicated a whole movie to it.
I do wonder why they started with a Batman who is near the end of his career. They still have to fight Darkseid. Bruce doesn't seem up to dodging Omega Beams.
If/when they do a solo Batman movie in this universe, they should adapt "Mask of the Phantasm." And keep the Tia Carrere song.

Love psycho pass! Only seen the first season though. I wish there was an easy way to watch shows. Like, Netflix for all anime.
I much prefer subbed over dubbed. Same with the rare times I watch Kung Fu. One of my favorite movies is Hero with Jet Like. I don't even read the subs. It's so beautifully shot you don't need to.

I remember a few years back there was a streaming site I used. I need a new computer though. This one's a 5 year old desktop with no anti-virus and a dead video card. I can't even get gifs to work. I never thought about Hulu. I'm very close to dumping my DirecTV and just using Netflix, youtube, and adding Hulu. $200+ a month is just not worth it for 20 minutes of tv time a day.

You'll definitely want to do some catch-up depending on what films you've already seen.

I am so jealous! The series is amazing and one of the only shows that I will binge watch more than once. But I envy those who may watch it for the first time. It's sooo good. The first season starts out kinda slow and I wasn't sure when the "magic" would kick in, but once it did. OMG I can't wait for you to start watching it.

I was wondering what the spoilers could be. We already know what happens with Han, Chewie, and Lando. I think it'll be like "Rogue One," a fun movie that you don't think much about later. Maybe there will be something like the Vader scene. Jabba? Boba Fett? Young Snoke?
I hope at some point, we get a movie set after RotJ.

if there is one part of the EU ( legends) it would be some of the post endor stuff like courtship of liea, or the thrawn trilogy.....though Thrawn IS canon now, as is pellaeon.... but they came in during Rebels and the way that ended im not sure if we would see thrawn again given what Ezra did in the finale. I WOULD love to see a shadows of the empire based one though between ESB, and RotJ..
id also love seeing old republic...pre Bane. Im a sucker for the old stuff that delt with exar kune and the Qel-Dromas and yeah the revan era
random factoid. Revan was slated and even modeled to appear in the clone wars series....however dave dropped the idea after debating how another ghost would sort of be too much at that time in the series, and George came in and wanted to call revan " darth icky" which he ALSO pitched for starkiller in force unleashed, years earlier and was dead serious about it as a name
