My ex is trying to send me subliminals via facebook I think. As soon as we broke up he started an instagram account and keeps posting pics from it to facebook, he knows I'm obsessed with instagram and he normally never posts on facebook. I knew he did it for me to see it but I don't know why, our break up was extremely amicable and I'm not sure if he wants me to follow his account? He told me he didn't want to continue to communicate with me at all after the breakup so I assume I shouldn't. I thought maybe he just wants me to see that he's doing fine which I actually really appreciate but just now he made a status update on FB that references a gift I gave him so I'm like....... I think he is trying to keep the idea of himself active in my mind. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to 'like' it either or any of his facebook updates. So far I haven't been because I don't want to give him false hope.

I really want to go out tonight..maybe by myself, which I've never done before. I'm used to eating in restaurants and going to movies alone, but not going clubbing alone..hmm idk

^^Omg I could never. I go out to eat and to movies alone too but I could not go clubbing. Well I don't really like clubbing so I guess that's why. I've known people who can do it no problem though or just show up to a party uninvited by themselves and have a ball so it's possible!

I have never been out clubbing alone. My friend did it for the first time not too long ago and said it was a lot of fun. She just had fun dancing and met new people on the spot. A group approached her and asked who she came with she said alone and they invited her to join them. I say go for it!

I have no problem going out alone when I'm in a strong solid relationship. As a matter of fact, when I'm in a relationship, I physically need time alone. But when I'm not in a relationship I can barely function by myself.

I ended up staying home but I do want to try it soon. I really need to make new friends in this town....I spend so much time alone when the baby is with my ex... and even my bf is working like 18 hour days this rotation so we barely see each other. I need to get a life. haha

For the first time in my life I'm taking a measured approach to cleaning up my eating. cleaning it up day by day and slowly. I still have some "bad foods" but more and more each day I can feel my body letting go of the sugar cravings etc. I'm really glad I chose to listen to advice and do it like this.

I think I'm just going to hustle my ass off tomorrow, make as much $ as I can and quit. Going to apply at every restaurant/coffee house/bar until someone hires me, and get ebay up again. I need to burn this bridge already...I just can't anymore. I don't have to go in until 10pm tomorrow and I'm already miserable just thinking about it.

I'm always thankful when women speak up about their burnout experiences. It's extremely important for newbies on SW to see how we can abruptly go from being gung-ho about dancing one week and nearly paralyzed by burnout the next. Young women read this forum and make huge decisions based on how they feel about stripping TODAY, not understanding that tomorrow could feel like running into a brick wall.
So, thank you. :grouphug:

Yiiiiiissss! SMH at the girls who are like "I've been dancing for 2 weeks, I'm gonna quit my vanilla job and rent an expensive apartment!" When we're all like no, don't do it yet, they scoff at us
*Yoda voice* One should not quit one's day job until one has sufficient savings to withstand dancing burnout.
On that subject, you know how people are always like "If I just had more time I'd get more things done/If I didn't have to work my grades would be awesome" ? No. Not true at all. I'm waiting out the dr.'s note to stay off work/riding for 5-7 days. All extra time does is make me sleep until noon and find things to do that aren't productive, like obsess over the situation or blow money at the mall.

I couldn't possibly agree more. I thought my undergrad was "holding me back" from making all of the moneyz. Um. No. Having things going on in your life other than dancing will stave off burnout and also provide you with backup opportunities in case you turn out to not be one of the .01% happy career dancers out there.

I want to start a thread along the lines of "How to make sure you'll burn out from dancing." Like a funnyish thread that lists all of the little and big mistakes and decisions we make that contribute to burnout. Situations that lead to burnout, etc.

Just peeped police and firemen outside. Not sure why they were here but it looks like it's not an emergency as they left after 10 min and no stretchers or crime scene tape.
I secretly thought I'd see some hotties or some DILF's but nothing but short, balding, middle aged men.

So the guy two apartments from me got caught cheating on his wife today. She came home and found him and some other girl. You know those scenes in movies and music videos where the girl literally throws the guys clothing and possessions out the window? That totally happened. Never thought I'd see that happen for real.

DO IT.
Miss AP, hot firefighters reminds me of this random ass story... I was doing wildlife field stuff a few years ago and we were kayaking down a river. I had spun around and was going backwards, talking to someone, and when I spun back around there was a bigass branch in my path. I ended up getting flipped out of the kayak. Unfortunately it wasn't a self-bailing one so I couldn't flip it over, and I ended up just hanging on top of it floating downriver.
We get around this corner and there's probably 20 young, super hot firefighter recruits training to do water rescues :rotfl: They all got super excited and were yelling "Look a real rescue!" and getting ready to jump in. I was like "NO NO I got this! leave me alone!"
I did NOT 'have it' and ended up spending the last mile of the river hanging onto an upside down kayak, while the other 2 girls howled with laughter and called me an idiot for not letting them rescue me.

I got a fresh bleeding wound (no scabs yet) on my face and I am slapping a bandaid over it. Ladies would it be retarded to wear the bandaid to work? I am sure the customers will keep asking "what happen" and I'll keep having to be like "I fell" lol... I can cover it up with makeup but I rather use the bandaid to let it heal. Hope it doesn't hurt my income too much.

Yes, it's sad. But wait for it, we are going to take 1 million refugees here too. Thanks obama. These people are in full gear for out breeding us and practicing god's law on our land, you know, it's religion of peace after all.

Same. There are no words....
I'm thankful that all my friends there seem to be alive and well.
I'm also scared and worried about what this will do to the openness and freedom of the countries in Europe. There are a lot of racist and fascist parties that I imagine might benefit from this tragedy. We have to remember that many of the people coming here looking for safety are trying to escape IS and the terror attacks and extreme violence they faced in their home countries, the absolute majority of the refugees are not terrorists. I hope we will not fall for the hateful propaganda coming from the extreme right-wing nationalists.

the actual religion promotes tolerance and peace as evidenced by the billion muslims worldwide, practicing their religion in peace and not blindly stoning, amputating, beheading people. I dont glob power hungry terrorists and their twisted ideology with the rest of the population of muslims who absolutely do not deserve the ignorant blacklash they get after incidents like this
SimoneGray

^^ amen to that. Where I live we have never had a single terrorist attack and we have a thriving Muslim population. Mosques everywhere, etc etc. What happened in Paris is horrible, but its a fraction, not the entire population of practicing Muslims. Whenever anyone of ANY religion gets fanatical, bad things happen.
I wish it would just rain already. That and I wish someone would throw me the remaining cash I need for a new laptop. Like without me having to work crazy hours to get it. LOL. Never gonna happen but one can dream right? hehe

Meanwhile my poor boyfriend, who's here on a work visa, is next to me like "omg please calm down..." I think I scared him to death..but that cop sure as fuck let me go and apologized. I'm sick of the dildo cops out here pulling me over constantly for dumb shit. Get off my ass.

I was doing some retail therapy the other day and see they have an ULTIMATE easy bake oven now. Man, these kids these days get everything, lol. Just like they've said to us in the previous generation. You can even make tier cakes with different flavors and everything. Where was that when I was a kid and had one. The most you got to do is mix the cake, pop it in the over and use icing and sprinkles. There were no two toned tier cakes all jazzed out like a tea party, lol. Move over England, your tea cakes are being duplicated by 5 year olds!
