Yup. That's the option I went with . We are in touch but I have remained unimpressed with the lack of inertia ( it's Thurs now so that's 4 days that he has been back ). I invited him on my desert trip tomorrow ( I gave him the invite Tues. for leaving Friday ) and I'll think that'll be it as far as my effort.
I am in bad shape today. Haha. I was determined to " crack the surface " of conversations with A ( my other date ) so I brought edibles to the concert . We got WAY fucked up and stayed up way too late . I'm too old to party like this and just need these reminders sometimes. ;)
I myself would make him wait.

Since my daughter got good grades I allowed her to pick a gift for herself from Five Below. While browsing the candy aisle I spotted baby bottle pops. I didn't know that they were still around. Anybody remember baby bottle pops? I am totally a big adult child right now because of course, I bought one!
I remember....

I found some videos that had been uploaded of a karaoke night a couple years ago I went to with people I didn't know all that well. So everyone went up and sang, and I was trying to avoid it, but they badgered me into it. So I picked the first song I felt I knew well enough to sing along to, and, in the video, you can see everyone I went with sitting there with these blank expressions on their face like, "that just came way the hell out of left field". What makes it even more amusing to me is that I took second place that night.

I had a dream last night about a SW get-together. There were 90-something of us that showed up. In it, 2 owner guys had flown us all out to work some special event at a club, but ended up overbooking, so most of us weren't going to get to work, but they were paying for everything and compensating us for the time we spent out there whether we got to work the event or not. It was funny, because we were sleeping summer-camp style in a big room with beds stacked along both walls, and it was 10am, but everyone was yelling at one girl who was already up and being loud on her phone because "it was too damn early and we were all still trying to sleep," being dancers with nocturnal schedules.

I just received a rejection phone call from the vanilla job interview that I had on Monday. They decided to hire someone with more experience. I find that annoying because it was an entry level position and I feel a bit disappointed but oh well. I guess I'll keep trying.
Ok, update: he just called me again 5 minutes ago to say that he had picked me to hire but that he'd left the decision to the HR lady. The HR lady liked the other person better. He said that if the person that was hired doesn't show up on Monday, I got the job. That's kind of odd that he would call me back 4 hours later just to tell me that. Wth?

I guess I'll make sure I look presentable on Monday, just in case I get a call. I highly doubt anyone is going to not show up for a 1st day of work though. That would be dumb. Twilight marathon is on.

Honestly a lot of people change their minds at the last minute if they get a better last minute offer. One of my exes was waiting to hear back about two excellent manager jobs and went with the one that called first. As bad luck would have it, the 2nd/ cooler job called right after he signed paperwork to go with the first job. I think he made the right choice in the end but it happens. SO what this place is saying is, if someone flip-flops out of working there, they'll call the second in line for the job.

I feel like I want to quit stripping, again. I don't like being treated badly more often and my time being wasted - seems not worth it, now. It's begun to alter how I feel about myself and how others may see me.

I thought my period had started yesterday but it stopped after a couple hours. Nothing today. I don't know what to think right now. I know that I didn't imagine the blood yesterday. It was there. I never have periods that start and stop like that. My boobs have that heavy, engorged feeling too. Why is my body being so confusing? Dang it, body! Don't play games with me like this, body! I can't take getting my hopes up high for nothing. I fully expect my period to suddenly start full force at any minute.

And I'm working to find my own suitors so that my time isn't wasted by these annoying guys, who don't seem to want to spend on me. I like meeting new men in the club and the male presence, although I hate guys wasting my time and then choosing this other girl to spend their money with while they're just staring at me, refusing to give me anything.

Don’t feel bad… you’re not alone in this.
My sister and I are going to visit the family in Wisconsin for Spring Break, and we’re taking the Amish girl with us, because maybe it would do her some good to let her spend some time someplace a little more in her element… she’s struggling a bit with ‘English’ life and it might be the breather she needs. The youngest ‘refugee’ is a little upset she isn’t coming with, so I talked to her, explained to her that she’d be really out of place there and probably wouldn’t enjoy it, and we’ll do something together during the Summer.
Also - unrelated - I have to wonder why it’s always friends of mine who despise most of - if not all of - their exes who are the ones so adamant about trying to date. If their aftermath is the most likely scenario, I don’t understand why I’d want to bother.

I'm randomly thinking about nature vs nurture.
The saying " Like mother/ father, like son/ daughter."
First example:Two examples come to mind.
There's a father and his daughter that attend 2 grief groups I go to. Separately, I.e. one goes to one, the other goes to the other group.
They both are always late to the meetings, disrupting everyone, as if to make a ' Grand entrance' or something. Both are the only attendees who don't shut off their phones. Look at me! I'm so important!. Ugh!
Second example: The weirdo beatch next door, whom I share common walls with just moved out.
In her place, her parents moved in.
They are exactly like her.
They sleep until noon, sit and blast their TV all day with the front door open. Worst of all. They NEVER leave the apartment!
It's a tiny, shitty unit too. Who the HELL would want to do that?
The worst thing is that, like their daughter.
Whenever they hear me in the kitchen, or bathroom. THAT'S the exact moment they need to be in there too.
They slam the cabinet doors so loudly from the moment they get up, through the night.
Thankfully I can't hear them in my master bedroom.
But, I cam and watch TV right off the kitchen in the living room. The constant banging is making me go psychotic.

I stayed in one last wk end, just to get away from drama where I live now, & ugh.
Ok, I get the importance of rules but..
On the surface, everything seemed ok..I really don't think this person wanted someone in their house tho?
I was told, (@ 10:30 pm when I was trying to settle down for the night) that this person is a very light sleeper, & could I not shut my door all the way, & not shut the bathroom door all the way bc they would hear the doors shutting/opening:O
I tried to close the doors quietly, but COME ON.
Sorry if I have to pee, yes, it's frequent too, can't help it! I guess provide a chamber pot next time lol?::)
& yea, there were 2 cameras that I knew of..
I have heard of hotels having them too (there was a news item about this) but, yes, it's much less likely!

Yeah. Hotels don't tend to intervene with customer stays unless the front desk notices something REALLY attention grabbing on the CCTV cameras OR way too many people coming and going from a room booked for only one or two people.
Hotels are used by - business travelers, people having extra marital affairs, people on vacations, people in transit to and from living arrangements (like people going through divorce or relocating due to personal hardship.) The hotel doesn't care about your personal life inside of your room as long as you abide by their in-house rules for not damaging property on premises. (Noise complaints are another issue and vary from hotel to hotel.)

??????????? Hsg is hysterosalpingogram. It's when a tiny catheter is inserted through the cervix and into the uterus and a special dye is injected up there. It's supposed to show if there's any blockage or scarring in the uterus and fallopian tubes. I have Endometriosis. Since I failed 2 rounds of Clomid it might be possible that there's a blockage somewhere caused by it. I'm thinking way ahead of myself here. In June I'll be going on a higher dose of 100mg Clomid and if that fails too, I'll be getting the hsg done. In some cases the procedure can clear up any blockages and some women have reported increased fertility within the first 3 months after the procedure. I guess it's just disappointing because my daughter was a round 2 Clomid success. The joys of fertility issues.

Never thought I’d feel so out of place in the home I was raised in. Second day here, and a lot of strange conflicts of the past have come out of the shadows. And the ones I grew up with… they recognize me, they remember me, they were my friends. To hear one of them tell me they hoped ‘English’ life wouldn’t work out for me and that I’d return… and be stuck in this life. I know she meant well, but she really can’t comprehend why I left. And she was keen to note that something had changed… yeah, a lot had, and I wouldn’t even know where to begin if I did want to explain it to her.
It’s a bit rougher than I’d anticipated, coming back. There’s happy endings and tragedy alike for the people I knew.
When I was a freshman in high school, I was a bit of an oddity, as very few from the Mennonite community went to school beyond eighth grade. One of the popular ‘English’ girls took me under her wing, and we were friends throughout high school. She was killed in a car accident about a year after graduation, so I visited her grave. She liked flower arrangements with particular colors, so I had to look around various floral shops until I found one I felt was just right. Then one of my ‘English’ classmates from high school had joined the Army and we happened across each other in Afghanistan, we went to lunch together and visited her grave together.
Some boy apparently had the hots for my sister for a long time, so he’s following her around like a lovestruck puppy. Poor kid looked like he was about to cry when she told him she was coming back to North Carolina with me. The Amish girl has turned a few heads, as well. She is quite pretty. She seems comfortable here, so I’m glad for that. I think some of other women here her age aren’t too happy about it, though. Me? Everyone my age is married. So, being unmarried at 28 practically makes me an old hag here.

Driving for Uber is kinda similar to stripping... You could have a busy, big money night or it could be slow as fuck... even on a Friday. You get to the point of knowing you should put in hours, but when the payoff could be pitiful, you just wanna say screw it and stay home. But then you’ll beat yourself up for “leaving money on the table” cuz it might have been good that night.

Yeah, I found out it happened to a few here. Not too many, as the attrition rate in these communities isn't particularly high, but those that do leave often don't have the sense of restraint which many who grew up in the 'English' world have by having had that exposure to these things. One of the reasons I'm grateful for my first two roommates, because they were a huge mitigating factor. I know my parents despised my roommates (especially my male roommate), but they looked out for me and made sure not to let me be led astray.

Funny news- the Salton Sea area is getting "trendy" for people to hang out at, but it's not super safe to live at. (Toxic material.) IMO San Bernadino isn't the worst place to live out there....
I keep seeing current photos from this year's Coachella festival & I see that Rave Wear and early 1990s fashion is still so hot with trend setters and people who get paid to wear designer clothes. It's kind of funny. When I was wearing that stuff back in the 1990s I thought I looked terrible in it. lol
