I've had a headache for days and ibuprofen isn't helping. Hopefully it is from allergies and Claritin helps. If not, I'm pretty sure it's meningitis because a fever has been coming and going too. If I die someone has to come take care of the dog.

I had heard that taking ibuprofen for the coronavirus could be bad. I did some quick research and this Harvard site says it's okay. Do you have any acetaminophen? Why do you think it's meningitis? I will find someone to take care of your dog.

You're so sweet. I think I have acetaminophen but it is expired or about to expire so I will have to get more. Fever with headache is an odd combo and meningitis is the first Google result. I'm sure it's nothing but I wish it would go away.

Yesssssss ! When I venture out I want full dress up and full club makeup haha !
HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!
I hope you ordered some great food and dessert !
Carmen I’m trying to move out West this fall...I’ll get glammed up and party with you if our paths cross! All the formal events my grad program usually holds for their graduating classes are canceled this year so I have an itch to scratch too.
It’s my birthday today. Even though it’s pretty lame to be having a birthday during a pandemic, plus no BF and I live alone... it’s actually a step up from my birthday last year. Last year I had a colposcopy on my birthday, was terrified because I knew I had cervical cancer even though it hadn’t been officially diagnosed yet. And I was dating an immature man who wasn’t taking my fear seriously and it made me feel worse.

I'm okay. I just wish this coronavirus pandemic would end. Another relative is in the hospital with it and on a ventilator. The only thing that gives me some hope is hearing about a friend's grandma somehow recovering from it, despite being elderly and a friend's aunt who has diabetes beat the virus and was released from the hospital and recovering after a 7 day battle with it.

The last time the kids' mom picked them up, they got home, and she called complaining that the girl's coat reeked of cat piss and was "soaking wet." I don't know much I believe that the coat was "soaking wet," considering the kid didn't say anything about it while wearing it, but I don't dismiss that the coat smelled of pee. It was really weird, however, because the coat wasn't on the floor or even the furniture. It was draped up on some speakers we have by the bookcase. A cat could have jumped up on it and urinated, but I would find it odd, especially since it was in the living room which the cats usually avoid when the kids are in there - which they were, the entire day.
I kinda "hmm'ed" about it, but didn't fight it because I have no proof that the cat didn't do it, plus I've had my robe peed on when I left it near the bed on the floor. I had always blamed the cat, but even then wondered about it, because once I cleaned it up, there's been no other incidents over in that spot, as though any of them "marked" it. Today, I found something else in the kids' room that reeked of urine - a kiddie tent that they've had stuffed into a toy barrel for over a year now because they never use it. Very obviously been peed on. Even the stuff under it smelled because it had been touching them, even after drying. But... like I said, it's in a barrel that is overflowing with toys. Again... a cat could have crawled across the top and balanced there to pee on it, but that would be so weird. 2 of them are huge and not particularly nimble, and one is missing a leg and doesn't climb on stuff like that.
I'm starting to wonder if the culprit isn't the 8-year old boy, who has been known to urinate in inappropriate places in the recent past. I've never caught him doing it at our place, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. He usually does it when he doesn't want to stop what he's doing to go to the bathroom, because he thinks it saves him time. All of these are places that he could have done it. Right next to HIS bed when he's watching TV, in the living room when he's playing his video game, if no one else was around at the moment to see him - even the bedroom next to my bed is a spot where he usually hides during Nerf gun fights, so...
But I have no proof of that either. I would find it odd to have a cat be randomly peeing in certain spots just once or twice, and then never again, and using the litter box otherwise. These incidents don't seem to happen when the kids aren't around, to my limited knowledge, at least... Idk... I'm like 50/50 on blaming either one at this point. I guess all I can do is keep everything way out of reach of any cats this weekend, and keep an eye on everyone super well to see if I can catch either cat or kid in the act.

Yeah kids do often pee in not-appropo places, either out of laziness or as a passive aggressive way to get back at someone. It's probably his pee.

^ It is very possible that it's the little boy. I grew up with boys and 2 out of the 4 of them liked to pee in places that were not a toilet. One of them got scared at night so he'd just get up and pee somewhere in his room. He stopped peeing when there was a night light in his bedroom, in the hallway, and bathroom. The other one I think did it just to be an asshole. He used to pee in the kitchen garbage can, on my bedroom floor right by my bed, next to my mom's bed, and in the corner by the couch. I caught him in the middle of the night, standing there in my bedroom in front of my bed before, peeing and all he said was,"I don't know" when asked why he was peeing on the floor. I think if it was a cat doing that they would repeatedly pee in the same spots. If it's the cat, order some Feliway plug ins and see if that helps because I once had a cat who was a happy pisser. Whenever a new person or someone who didn't come over often came to visit, she'd piss all over their belongings. Hopefully whoever's doing that stops because that stinks.

Someone in the office offered me their client for a referral fee. I honestly don't really want them (because the whole reason she doesn't want them is because they're kinda high maintenance), but I desperately need work, so I said yes. Now my day of doing my chores and errands and then actually getting to relax is shot, because I have to meet them this afternoon and already have a showing with them this evening. She also wants to schedule something for 9am, an hour away, tomorrow morning, before I have to get the kids at noon.
I am grateful for the business, and I'm sure it'll turn out alright, but, man, I'm telling you, I am not looking forward to working all evening, and then getting up super early to work more before having the kids ALL day tomorrow by myself. I really wanted this one last relaxing night and to sleep in tomorrow before diving into this weekend. Why do I feel like I just can never have a day off? Even when everything is closed in the middle of a damn pandemic? Why?

It's sunny out today(finally!) so I have my blinds open. Someone walked by with a little lavender colored dog. I had to do a double take. I didn't realize it was possible to dye dog's fur. Is this a thing now?

A. I should have not spied on ex ( the long term 7 year one online ).
B. He is living in a house that is much less nice than my options . I think I had this fear that his whole life would have a " complete upgrade " type of look to it.
C. ^ I will take my little win and hopefully not do this spying again. ;/

This household has always been open door policy, and it might be time to rethink that. My sister and I did laundry today so I brought S’s laundry to her. Well, something like that, I would just walk right in and dump it in her bed so she could fold it and sort it. So, yeah, I ended up walking in on her and her girlfriend. Most of the interior doors here don’t have locks. I think I’m going to offer her one for hers.

‘S’ and her girlfriend fell asleep watching TV, so they were snuggled on the couch when I came home. They can be a pain in the ass at times, but they’re absolutely adorable. The bit around about running the girlfriend through the wood chipper if she doesn’t give it a rest about meting this cousin of hers still stands, though.

I'm sad my formerly beautiful red hair is turning to blonde again due to lack of salon access. ;/
May try a box color when my mom can help me in 2-3 days. I mean .... this color ( strawberry blonde ) isn't terrible but it's not the vibrant color I wanted to keep for a few months.

My brother is irritating me again.
He is dumping his 9 year old step son with my parents constantly ( he is very high maintenence and to me seems more like 6-7 lacking a lot in independence ).
I can't figure out why this is happening ( bro works 20-25 hours instead of 40 ) as often as it does these days. I stayed out of it but they were going to come down here and see me / hike ect. and now they are like " well what will we do with him ? " . I don't know. Tell brother to hire a sitter a day or two ! Omg. We are talking about a three night trip here. ;/

People need to check on their pets when they're outside. I took my kids for a walk since it's 70 degrees out today and a pit bull came crawling right through a huge hole under the fence of someone's backyard. It must've dug it to get out of there. It stood there barking at us until a nurse/doctor/man in scrubs and face mask came walking through the gap in the fence on the other side of the street where the hospital parking lot is. He laughed and said that the dog really must've wanted to say hi. The dog got distracted by the mailman down the street and took off running. By the time I got to the end of the street someone had pulled up and the dog got in the car. I hope that was its owner and not someone stealing dogs to sell on craigslist.

Equal parts happy and sad to be called off from work tonight due to technical glitches. It was supposed to be my first night back since they were able to reopen, and I miss the money. But it was only gonna be 2 hours, and this gives me more time to launch into my night that kicks off several days of doing nothing but relaxing. I also plan to practice my ukulele.

The older I get, the more I don’t think that super young adults are particularly hot. I think we all go through the kinda awkward, gangly thing for longer into our 20s than most people realize or admit. I now understand why they always cast older people to play “teenagers” on TV - because real teenagers look like absolute babies.
