Wishing I could've said "No worries, I didn't even bother leaving my bed at home" after hearing a guy was going back and forth stuck at work and ultimately cancelled. I didn't even book the hotel but sent him an address. I'm not leaving this house until I have a solid confirmation. Only had the energy to respond to one person today, I've been watching Harry Potter LOLL. Do not rain on my parade lol.

Partner and I seem really happy lately.
Nice few days. :)
Porch drink last night and then I told him to go shower and come to the couch.
Long slow bj action hahaha.
Then he cuddled me in bed and rubbed my back forever . Yum.

When a man tells me he was thinking about me all day.....ahhh yes!! Please put the crown on my head! lol :)
I need such a nap though. After round 2 customer and being up late. I'm napping through half of harry potter and waking up to do an appointment. Mama wants her money for this week! Wasn't the cutest week because I was tired.

I’d been practicing at home, but I went back to the yoga studio for the first time today since the pandemic. Towing to Copart today, I picked up a car from a towing yard that had been involved in a fatality accident. On the back window, you could still see the remnants of the words “just married”. When I got to Copart, the bouncer’s brother (they went into business together) commented that it must’ve put a damper on things to recently marry and total your car shortly afterwards. So I said to him, “especially when you die in it”. And just looking at his reaction compared to my complete lack of any sort of movement aside from thinking to myself, “that’s shitty”… it made me think back to the yoga instructor who constantly asked me where I was spiritually and said she worried about that. And I was dismissive of the whole spirituality notion, but I wonder now if there’s any merit to it, and maybe if I’m not sold on the idea, would it really hurt to try finding the balance she always spoke of? I feel like it’s not right for me to have become so desensitized as I have, and maybe there’s something there in the parts of a yoga practice I never really took to heart. Not really holding out high hopes, but I feel like I should try at least. Maybe some of the classes that focus on the meditative practices rather than the physical ones. I just don’t feel like I should keep going on like this.
It’s probably a bunch of hokey shit, but I suppose there’s no harm in it.

@achildofboredom-I think you went through spiritual abuse with the Amish community? Just my 2cents, I love my meditation practice. I can understand after being spiritually abused why you wouldn’t want anything to do with it! My personal experience is yoga and meditation tends to attract spiritually healthy people. Although, there’s are some rare cases of cults and extremes, but that’s everywhere.
Speaking of, I really fell of the wagon. Life is just so stressful! I’ve been working everyday. Which it’s great to have money again, but I’m so exhausted. It’s gonna be really hard but I have to to stay out of the rabbit hole and starting using LOA religiously. I’m am living on a prayer. Pray for me.

A lady Im associates with was like “I don’t know what I’d do if I were a single mom....”
Took everything I had not to fuck with her n be like “you’d probably be so clueless about taking care of your kids that you’d lose custody of them, you’d become more neurotic than you already are and you’d self-medicate with cheap boxed wine, you’d lose your job, etc, ...... you’d shrivel up n die because you’re too weak mentally to do what millions of women are able to successfully pull off to keep their kids thriving because you’re too sheltered n selfish.”
People assume that one life event, relationship status, financial status, etc is the determining factor of their worth as a human being when it’s not.

I need to do a sugar detox. This is going to be hard because sugar is my equivalent of people's addiction to cigarettes, weed, alcohol, or other drugs. I'm getting tired of yeast infections though. I think I keep getting them because I eat too much sugar.

LMAO I forgot my uber driver this super early morning lives in South Central LA and I heard the wildest stories from him. He apparently hit an Uber customer with his flashlight to protect himself and got a black eye, he now has a knife and pepper spray gel he carries with him for customers. Uber had to be notified of all the crazies he encountered. HAHA could you imagine all for driving a car. He once pulled up to a full blown girl on girl fight and drove off.

Had a Back to the Future marathon this weekend because they're all on Netflix. I had never even seen the 3rd one all the way through, and could barely remember the second one. They're cheesy as shit, but they actually do a fantastic job, in terms of the technicalities of story-telling, especially the first one. Probably why they're classics.
I recently saw something that said that if Back to the Future were made today, 30 years ago would only be 1991. And to be honest, I really want them to do a reboot now with a teenager from 2021 or 2022 going back to the 90s. I think it would be fantastic.

Sometimes, I still think about this one time in college when a professor handed out samples of intro paragraphs from recent papers as a way to demonstrate to us what made a good or bad opening paragraph. It didn't have names on it, but I realized that the "good example" was mine. When she asked the class for feedback on these paragraphs, literally seven people in a row raised their hands to comment on how they didn't like that I used semicolons. Even after the teacher said that the way I used them was perfectly grammatically correct and there was nothing wrong with doing it that way, people were still like, "I still just don't like them. It would have been better to do it this other way." She had to practically yell at the class to stop discussing the damn semicolons. And once they weren't allowed to comment on that, no one could find anything else "wrong" with my writing.
I think about that a lot when I'm writing... That just because other people don't know how to use semicolons, they insisted on trashing my use of them. I wonder if those people are still morons.
(I'm not calling them morons for not knowing the grammar of semicolons, just for the fact that they think that their own ignorance means I should've changed my writing).

The Mennonite community left its mark, certainly. I don’t know about abusive. I was groomed to a certain way of life, but it didn’t trigger an adverse reaction when I went in other directions. I think I really mostly did it to myself/put myself in places where it happened.
I’ve been doing some various videos for IG, TikTok, etc. Did some pole dance videos to music, but also interspersed some ‘highlight reels’ from work, including what I thought was a pretty neat one my trainee shot when I had to upright and winch out a car with our 15 ton underreach. The goal for me isn’t so much money… I’m pretty secure financially… but I saw where some of the influencers and such were getting clothing and tailoring out of it. Not quite there, but I did receive some band merch, which I thought was pretty neat. Which, on some of the videos and photos, I comment on new albums I’m really liking. One of the bands seemed to have appreciated that. I thought maybe they’d send a t-shirt, but they sent a bit more.

I think that's fair. Semicolons aren't required for anything, which is why a lot of people don't bother using them. You pretty much can't avoid apostrophes though, so people should know how to use them.

Well since we have all the grammar experts here perhaps someone can help me. I always get confused with apostrophes in words that end with S, like is it Alexis' dog or Alexis's dog? Also I am confused about periods and quotations, like is it ." or ".

That's a fair point, shit like that is confusing. Sorry, I wasn't trying to be snarky about it.
For a singular possessive, like Alexis, you can honestly do it either way. They're both considered correct. For a plural possessive, you would only put the apostrophe after the S, like... Mr. and Mrs. Hess own a house - it's the Hess' house, not the Hess's house.
Oh and what determines whether you use ,” or .” and what about when you have a quote inside the end of a quote: .”.” ?
You would use ," if you continued the sentence after the quote. Ex: She said, "Leave me alone," and walked away.
If you just wrote: She said, "Leave me alone." Then, she walked away. - you use ."
I'm not sure what you mean by a quote inside a quote? Can you give an example of something you're thinking of?

Gotcha!
You would use single quotation marks for the quote within a quote and double quotation marks for the main quote. (In American English. I think I read that British English is the opposite).
Mark was upset. "I was trying to help, and the guy said, 'Do not touch a thing.'"
Only one period inside both the single quotation mark and double quotation mark. If the inside quotation requires a question mark or exclamation point, that's also where it goes. The weird exception being if the question is inside the main quotation but not the quote inside a quote.
Ex: Mark said, "I was only trying to help. Do you think he should have said, 'Do not touch a thing'?"
You don't need a period inside the inner quotation for this one. (I believe).

I remember him very well because we stayed friends for a long time but lost touch. I also remember him because his dad was a minister and he was always extra nice to me. LOL I am glad I found him and I am glad he remembers me because most people don't.

Stress does the same to me. I actually get headaches on the weekends when i "come down" from a stressful week, so it's like the stressful week manages to also ruin my weekend, ugh! Saaame! Also when the weather changes from super hot to super rainy, for example. Then it's brutal headache for 2 days, and nothing helps, I can't look at bright light, can barely stand/walk :(
Elektra, sometimes washing your head helps with headache, if it's not too severe. Sometimes it washes it off completely or it makes it a bit easier to handle.

I went to one of my old childhood neighborhoods yesterday and saw that it became worse. There were liquor stores on every corner, hookers roaming the streets, and the overwhelming stench of sulfur and skunk farts. It made me so glad that I left downriver. Even the people driving on the road seemed like mindless idiots. At least in my current neighborhood I only have one of those to deal with.

I started following this one author on AuthorTube and Twitch (also Instagram). She's super dorky, but I love her, and she does live writing sprints on Twitch which are fun to tune into for productivity.
Anyway, she admits that she hasn't actually published anything yet. She started documenting her author journey from the beginning before ever finishing a full book and getting it out of edits and getting published. So, what I am REALLY curious about is how she makes money??? I think she's in her 20s. She doesn't appear to be married or live with anyone else. And as far as I can tell, she spends almost all her time writing, rewriting, reading, or managing her online presence (which she fully admits in one video doesn't make her a ton of money). As far as her personal life, she only ever talks about her dogs, working out, and coffee and wine.
It's none of my business, and I'm not hating, I just want to KNOW. LOL! Maybe she has a trustfund? Maybe she won the lottery and doesn't talk about it. Maybe she's a financial genius and really into investing on the side to fund her creative lifestyle. I just... I just wanna know. lmao Whatever it is, she's a really sweet girl, so she totally deserves an awesome lifestyle where she can focus fulltime on becoming an author. The mystery of how she LIVES just kills me with curiosity sometimes.

Yeah, I'm into crypto! It's best if you treat it as a long-term, put it in little by little thing rather than a day-trading thing, just like the regular market. I pulled out the amount of my original investment, so now everything i have in there is profit. I'm sitting around $7k currently, which is pennies compared to what i would have if i had kept all of my money in there! But the ups and downs were making it less fun for me. I bought 1/3 BTC when it was at $3k, so I'd have $20k in bitcoin alone if I'd stayed in! Same thing for ETH. But everyone has a crypto story like that, lol.
charlie61
05-10-2021, 05:05 PM
I honestly hope crypto takes another dive, because it's hard for me to buy more when i was buying at such major lows. I bought around 15 LTC when it was at around $20-30/coin, and earlier today it was around $400/coin. But like i said, if you're taking it seriously, it's better to buy small bits at a time, over time, just like in the regular market. If you're looking to day trade, then just be sure the money you put in is either pure play money, or be sure you can afford to wait. I have a death touch when it comes to crypto... the second i buy some, it goes down, and when i sell, it goes up, lol. Long-term will have better results, and look for coins that have growth potential.
Anyway, haha! I'll stop. :P

It's similar to the normal market, too, in that you really don't have to understand crypto in order to buy into it, use it, etc. I use Coinbase (app). Maybe just throw $10 at a coin to see what happens! Your money takes something like 10 days to be trade-able, so you won't be able to put $10 in from your bank account and immediately start pulling it in and out of coins, so don't be surprised by that if you dip your toe in. But once your money is in a coin, you don't have to pay fees, and your trades happen immediately. Not sure if that makes any sense.
It can be fun to keep an eye on it every day, but really, long-term is the way to go.

Yeah! And for any of you who dip your toes in, just remember that you only lose money if you pull your money out, just like the normal market. Stuff goes up and down in the short run, but long-term growth is a better bet.
Okay, I'll stop now for real, lol.
