I am never product or brand loyal but the fresh farmacy cleanser from Lush has been amazing for me. I noticed a difference in less than a week.

I might try The Ordinary produtcs too... dunno what to say, I heard mixed oppinions about it (some say that the mix of ingredients aren't "strong" enough to be effective as other brands, such as Paula's Choice and also their packaging is not the most wise). I am usually a Paula's Choice fan and I really want to try something cheaper, but.. I guess I'll take it easy and try a few products first...

I have yet to try Paula's Choice! I'll put it on my to-buy list. Is there anything specific of theirs that you'd recommend? I'm not brand loyal! I'm always looking for affordable, effective skincare!

I want to try electrolysis on my bikini area. Doing my research now :magnify: I had the Brazilian from HELL a few weeks ago (new waxer and Murphy's Law ...everything that could have gone wrong, DID go wrong) and I'm kind of traumatized.

So I've been doing lots of research on how to heal the skin from all kinds of things like sunburn, dryness, cracking, etc., and I think I've found one of the best anti-aging creams on the market. It's called Maine Chaga Face & Body Cream.

https://www.amazon.com/Maine-Natural-Ingredients-Lightweight-Moisturizing/dp/B00JH0D7JU

It has chaga, green tea, chamomile, cucumber, shea butter, aloe, jojoba, coneflower, grapeseed, safflower, and sesame in it, which are all excellent ingredients to restore healthy, young-looking skin. I know I sound like a commercial right now, lol, but this stuff sounds seriously amazing. I have sun damage, so I'm going to order this. Based off of the reviews, it sounds promising.

When you do, can you post your before and after photos?
Since I now live on the surface of the sun, and never wear sunblock, I have a feeling I'm going to need something like this in the not too distant future.
Thanks in advance.:-*

skinceuticals C E FERULIC serum is AMAZING! it's so expensive but it's worth it. they sell samples on ebay. i've never used a product that made such a dramatic difference..love it.

verb ghost oil for hair. you only use a tinyy bit because it's oily but it makes my hair look so silky and healthy.

it cosmetics superhero mascara. probably the best mascara i ever used. i love the brush and the formula which i feel like i usually either like one or the other. the formula is very lengthening and the brush is small enough that i can start at the root easily

amorepacific enzyme peel. its a very gentle exfoliant but it really really works good. before i used this i was using exfolikate which works but its harsh. the amorepacific one feels just like a face wash but after my skin feels super smooth and looks wayyyy brighter.

neutrogena mineral sheers loose powder, i used this for years and then somehow switched to only wearing liquid foundation. i just recently went back and omg i missed it! i forgot how perfect it makes your skin look in even really harsh lighting. it has a decent amount of coverage for being called "sheer".

I started using a Real Techniques sponge ($6 at Target) instead of a $20 Beauty Blender, and I'm never going back to the BB! The RT sponge blends just as good and one of the ends is flat which I prefer for giving my foundation a final buff. I highly recommend it! The price point is so much better. I just hate the idea of spending $20 on a sponge.

Hey Charlie, sorry to answer so late, I didn't see your question, lol!
Well, I have an oily skin and I am in love with their CALM (for oily skin) and Resist (for oily skin) categories. The creams, the serums, everything :))).
I love this SPF face moisturizer to the core, because it's the only one that keeps my skin matte somehow. It has a mikly texture and gets into skin immediately!
https://www.paulaschoice.com/resist-youth-extending-daily-hydrating-fluid-spf-50/780.html?cgid=category-sun-protection

And this one with SPF 30, that i use during winter https://www.paulaschoice.com/clear--ultra-light-daily-hydrating-fluid-spf-30and/613.html?cgid=category-sun-protection

I don't know what kind of skin you have, but you can always buy the travel size version first and see what you like!

I'm SO glad that I called MAC before heading over there.
The salesgirl said that there were about 150 people standing in line, waiting to get their free lipstick!
She said that it was only while supplies last.
There's nobody even out here at this time of year.
Where were all those people coming from?
Just goes to show you, that if you give freebies out, there's always going to be lots and lots of takers.
Lol!

I finally found the perfect lip shade for myself. It's called "Slow Burn" by Marc Jacobs and it's such a pretty rose pink. The texture of the lipliner is like shea butter, it's so silky and hydrating which is great because I find a lot of lipliners to be drying.

I want to get lower back dermals but I market myself as high-class and I'm worried it will turn off wealthy customers. I know a handful of upscale clubs in my area that would probably turn you away for having back dermals. You can always take them out, but it seems like this piercing tends to leave a scar. I mostly cam now so it probably wouldn't matter that much, but I'm not done with stripping for good.

Naw don't do dermals. You can do body art with glue on gems/stones and have the same visual effect with no scars.

Yeah, i used to have dermals on the back of my neck. While they were very pretty and got lots of compliments, they always seemed to be (at best) a curiosity to older, wealthier clients, and (at worst) a disappointment / turnoff. Luckily, my hair usually covered them up. But one of the things that made me unique as a dancer was that i didn't have any tattoos. So for men looking for that kind of provider, it tended to be a negative surprise for them once they noticed them. I think you'd be fine getting them if you already have tattoos and piercings. But it certainly didn't boost my brand.

I feel like I want three small fixes on my face and can't decide to move forward or not.

I have two moles I want gone. This is the easiest thing ( I had four removed before on my face and there was almost no scarring at all ).

I have one " 11 " line ( yeah .... just one .....I think I had a small scar and the wrinkle settled into it ).

I might want TCA for some acne scarring ( or just to get serious to see what other options there are ).

I guess I should talk about them separately but I am wondering about finding a Dr. to just do it all.

It's stuff that I don't really need but I have been thinking about here and there.

I got SmartLipo on my chin/neck/jawline two days ago! It cost $3,050 and was a very easy in-office procedure done with local anesthetic. Yesterday I basically slept all day, and today I feel normal. Just don't want to leave the house because I'm wearing a compression garment.

I'm so excited to see the results though. I've always had a soft jaw and a slight double chin even though I'm in good shape. Hoping to have an ON FLEEK jawline.

Honestly I feel with adult work, the further outside "conventionally attractive" you go, the more you limit yourself. Long, luscious locks are such a huge part of being conventionally attractive and it's a strong sign of fertility (men are biologically programmed to be attracted to fertile-looking women) that I do think you would notice a difference. There are exceptions to everything, guaranteed there are women out there with buzzcuts who are killing it but it would be easier if your hair was longer. Women who have gorgeous faces can often pull off the shaved head look just fine, but I never think they look *better* with a shaved head. That's just my opinion.

The older i get, the more resigned i am to how huge of an effect diet and lifestyle have on beauty and aging. Shortcuts become less and less effective as you age, IMO. Cardio, hot yoga, and greens are at the top of my list.

I make green smoothies in my Breville personal blender (the "boss"?). Packed in power greens mix from Costco + hemp seeds + frozen blueberries + water. It tastes fairly mild. And goes down much more easily than chewing my way through a giant salad. I drink it with a straw, which makes it a million times easier than just sipping on it. I try to drink one of these every 1-2 days. Gives my skin a glow. Minimizing bread (i don't have a gluten sensitivity, but even regular consumption of those super healthy, grainy breads quickly starts to make my skin look older) and maximizing greens = glowing, beautiful skin.

Oh, and i don't eat processed sugars... ever.

I've been very into The Ordinary's products lately as well. I could go on and on about skincare. Trying to keep this post short! :P

I've been obsessed with Traditional Medicinal teas / tisanes lately. Can buy in bulk from either Thrive Market (i wavered on the subscription after enjoying the free trial, ended up paying the yearly fee, and haven't regretted it since - i buy everything from spices to teas to vitamins to whey protein to skincare from them!) or Amazon.

The brand always tastes balanced, and i trust their quality and sourcing. I'm always looking for products to balance hormones and keep my skin clear. I love having a variety of super healthy options to pick and choose from. Nettle tea, hibiscus, raspberry leaf, ginger, throat coat, chamomile with lavender... even the 'hay-like' teas (you know, the ones you drink for health benefits, not for flavor, like raspberry leaf and nettle) are very pleasant. And Thrive sells this brand for $3.99/box, which is much less than what it normally retails for.

Also super into Costco lately - both the warehouse and online. For sooo many things. But they have great prices on beauty products. They sell Clinique online (I'm into their moisture surge collection), PerriconeMD, Peter Thomas Roth, strivectin, etc. I take their Nature's Bounty skin pills (cheap, and just as effective IME as pricier skin pills). Just bought super high- quality rose water spray and the moisture surge overnight mask from them today.

And from the Ordinary...i keep buying their absurdly cheap HA+B5 (works so well as a primer under makeup), B oil, Buffet, salicylic acid (a unique formula that you don't wash off or just use as a toner)... they have so many fun products.

I wash my face with Neutrogena's creamy face wash in the morning, and Philosophy's purity made simple at night.

My biggest focus lately has been herbal teas, greens, cardio, hot yoga, plenty of sleep. I enjoy using my facial steamer, now that i no longer have access to a sauna. I take many vitamins for additional support...probiotics, zinc, blood support, borage seed oil, skin pills, magnesium glycinate.. Limiting coffee (black coffee is so healthy, but with my anxiety issues and borderline high BP due to genetic predisposition, i only have it once a week).

I stay far away from processed sugars, which practically break me out if i so much as make eye contact with them.

You can't really fake fantastic internal health. I have clear, glowing skin and no dark undereye circles to speak of. I'll never be one of those people with perfect, porcelain skin. But my skin looks wonderful!

I just brought Kate Somerville Cold Cream and I love it. The ONLY issue literally the price. I feel a way paying $40 for 3oz of cream when other cold creams are under $5. Noxzema is $4 for 12oz. Ponds first ingredient is mineral oil so I’m not going to use it but it’s $5 for 6oz. Other than Kate or Noxzema do you know of cold creams without mineral oil or petroleum?
