Just ordered an Artis brush for foundation. I got the palm brush mini, since reviews say that the handle can be fragile on their other brushes.
They have a coupon code - OPRAH20 on the Elite line for the next few days. I didn't use it since i got the brush off of sephora (since i was ordering a few other things). But the code definitely works.
Will update when i get it!

I just brought Kate Somerville Cold Cream and I love it. The ONLY issue literally the price. I feel a way paying $40 for 3oz of cream when other cold creams are under $5. Noxzema is $4 for 12oz. Ponds first ingredient is mineral oil so I’m not going to use it but it’s $5 for 6oz. Other than Kate or Noxzema do you know of cold creams without mineral oil or petroleum?
Try looking in a health store or online
You might have better luck with oils, if you want to try those

I usually don't care for pointed nails or press on, but would totally rock any of these. They're custom made.

Has anyone taken a collagen supplement and seen definitive visible benefits for skin? I have researched and purchased a hydrolysed version which is meant to be well-absorbed, but am curious about other peoples experience.
I'm basically trying to delay having fillers. I'm at the age where I'm starting to understand that saying about having to choose between your face and your body as far as body fat percentage and the balance between keeping fairly slim and toned without losing facial fullness.

I'm considering trying taking collagen. I might mix it in with my Thrive Market vanilla whey protein (sugar-free) that i use to make smoothies. I feel like my skin has been looking older lately, despite impeccable care and diet. I rarely eat meat. Wondering if this might help.

They say it's best to take it with orange juice bc of the vitamin C. When I was taking the powder form in my juice, I noticed how firm my skin got. I need to start doing it again. Been so busy, sometimes I get lazy.

Right! I think I'll try to mix it in with my other smoothie ingredient (whey, which i blend up with frozen berries, among other ingredients), so i don't have to add another step to my routine. The berries have vitamin C.
I'm trying to figure out if my worries are psychological (i just turned 30, and even though I'm cool with it, aging is definitely on my mind, as is prevention) or partially based in fact (though I'm sure I'm the only one who notices minor fluctuations in skin health / firmness). On your recommendation, I'll give it a go! I don't expect overnight results, of course.

This stuff stinks like a fish tank/pond. I feel as if it's doing me good so its worthwhile.
I'm taking mine last thing at night, a couple of hours after food. It is supposed to be well-absorbed this way.

Just read an online review for makeup setting sprays that rated ELF's way high (surprised the heck out of me since ELF is a "budget" brand.) The only 10/10 rated spray was Urban Decay's All Nighter. Which is honestly that awesome, I've bought it and used all of it.

Urban Decay All Nighter is a god send. Used to work at Rhino overtime sometimes until 10:00am in the morning in Vegas and my makeup looked the same as the day before when I'd leave work lol.

I'm back at it again with these stupid moles on my cheek. They are small ( one just 2mm with 1mm raise and one even smaller ) but for some reason they bother me ( both in person via mirror and in pictures ) much. They always look like a blemish under make up.
I guess it's so easy to remove them that I just should. I'm so lazy about going. I hate DR. routines where it's one visit to get checked and then you come back to get it done. I WANT JUST ONE VISIT . I'm being picky but maybe I should finally do it.

So i've decided to stop buying products from The Ordinary. I love their price points and innovations... but for people with sensitive skin, i think most of their products are just too hardcore. They end up breaking me out (and i know the difference between hormonal breakouts, which are localized on my face, and product breakouts, which are everywhere on my face).
The only one that didn't seem to break me out and made a nice, sticky primer was the hyaluronic acid + b5 product.
I think I'll still buy oils from them, like their "b" oil, rosehip, and marula, since the price points are ridiculously low, and oils are pretty benign. But their more experimental stuff just has to go (most recently, the pycnogenol product).
I'm going back to tried and true products from neutrogena and similar for now..

So I ate raw, organic, unpasteurized cheeses my friend brought from Brazil. Fresh from a farm near her home, with happy healthy cows. None of it gave me excess phlegm, oily skin, or bloating.
Wish American made cheese would be this good to me. I've bought organic raw cheese from here and it was still not good to me.
I was in heaven for a week.

The 99 cents store is really stepping up their make-up game.
I found a face mister which is awesome!
I'm all about these types of sprays, because I live where the air is always dry.
My favorite one ( Focus 21 Sea Plasma) has been taken off the shelves. I did see it on eBay for $100 a bottle. Yeah, no.
I was making my own, by putting drops of Jasmine essential oil into water in a spray bottle. Then refrigerating it.
So good.:)

Ugh, the butter bronzer from physician's formula breaks me out. I'd heard so many good things about it! And i thought that product line was supposed to be sensitive-skin friendly? I should've known better. It's notorious for having a strong, tropical fragrance... that can't be great for sensitive skin.
The wet n wild foundation also broke me out... beauty gurus rave about that stuff. I loved the foundation... but again, strong scent and breakouts.
I'm on a roll when it comes to trying new things that break me out.

Aw. :(
Nothing from either of those brands has worked well for me! I see both of them in the, "Oh, get this blah blah Right Now::)"
You prob. will have to go w/something for sensitive skin, it may be more expensive..
RMS beauty, they have their own site, & some of their things are carried by Sephora..I love their foundation, it's completely unscented.
Made by a makeup artist.
That's the only one I can think of for now, Sephora has a 'clean' category you might want to look @.

His face looks so perfect ( natural and not overdone ). I wonder how much it is. I will ask that when I see him.

Botox should not be expensive, but it needs to be used again after some time.

yeah thats why i was wondering if preventative botox was like a scam....because that means you will go for it regularly starting at a much younger age. but then it also makes sense to me when i read articles..... ill post from one below
Doctors can usually tell if and where you might need preventative Botox just by looking at your face. For example, someone who regularly purses her lips and furrows her brow out of habit might start to get lines around her mouth and forehead in her 20s. A dermatologist or plastic surgeon can inject Botox in the right places to help “train” a person’s face to no longer fall into that habit, Day says, lowering the odds that they’ll develop permanent wrinkles in those spots.
And experts say it really works. “Using Botox can totally reverse mild lines and prevent them from developing at all,” Zeichner says. And, he adds, the best time to start treating wrinkles is when they first appear. Initially wrinkles will start to show up when you're making facial expressions and go away at rest. However, over time wrinkles will start to stick around, even when you’re not making a particular facial expression. “When you start to develop the earliest sign of resting wrinkles, this is the best time to start treating them, before wrinkles start to stick—it is presumptive to assume that they will develop,” Zeichner says.

I just used the Dr. Brandt Vacuum cleaner mask thingy & 0mg it is amazing! I followed it with the Dr. Brandt Microdermabrasion scrub w/ a moisturizer & my face looks & feels sooo smooth & clean.
Apparently it is used to suck out crap from your pores & shed dead skin cells. I love it! Will def be stocking up on those samples next Sephora trip :)

I think my Foreo Luna had started growing mold, and that's what has been breaking me out. I live in a humid region. It's not mold you could see by looking at it... it was that pale, red mold that grows in showers. But because my Luna is purple, i couldn't see it until i looked at it closely. I didn't even know that mold could grow on those things?!
whirlerz

Mold can grow almost anywhere, I believe..a certain moisture content, & not great air circulation can contribute.
I personally don't like those. Bleach is probably the only thing that kills mold, & might kill the foreo as well?
Have you considered an acid peel? I got a bonus one (not a tiny size) as a promo from Sephora, (Kate Somerville) it doesn't irritate, but I don't use my retinol product the same day.
I used it a couple X's a week, sometimes less.
Really cuts thru everything, I use it on my nose too & it helps w/blackheads.

My most recent theory about the acne that's showing up on just one side of my face is that it's related to my pillow. Not my pillowcase (which i literally change every other night and wash with fragrance-free, gentle detergent), but my actual pillow. It's hella old. I was reading multiple articles online about how you should change your pillow every six months due to the drool and skin cells that accumulate. That sounds insanely excessive to me... but i haven't changed my pillow in like 5+ years... so...uhh.. time for a change.

I also bleached all of my pillowcases. This whole "acne on one side of my face" thing is driving me nutty. I don't talk on the phone or do anything with the left side of my face other than sleep on it. So it has to be related to my pillow and / or pillowcases, right?

Could it be a haircare product or a conditioner? I have long hair so sometimes I wake up with most of my head draped in hair.
Most likely it is the filling in the pillowcase.

But hopefully the bleach will kill any old bacteria on the pillowcases!
I don't take any medications, and food-related breakouts don't tend to be unilateral.
I'm hoping i've fixed the problem with getting a new pillow and bleaching the cases. The little bit of acne i have now hopefully just needs to finish clearing up!
Thanks for the support!

I got a free hydrafacial (http://hydrafacialnation.com/see-the-tour/) and now I'm broken out. I know that's not uncommon after a facial but still, I'm underwhelmed. It seems like it's basically microdermabrasion + a light peel + lots of skin serums. I could just get microdermabrasion for much cheaper and then pile on the products and give myself a home peel, and I'm pretty sure it would have the same effect.
Glad I didn't drop $200+ on this treatment.
