I'm on the hunt for serious, anti aging skin care, I'm considering Dr Lara Devan, she's a top NY plastic surgeon.
She's also on Sephora.
I'm tired of a lot of advertised shit, but the good stuff's expensive! :(
Sometimes expensive doesn't mean effective. The top 3 anti aging products you need is:
1. Vitamin C
2. Retinol
3. Sunscreen
Paula's Choice, for example have good products that won't make you sell your arm. Just have a routine that includes these ingredients and whatever else you need and that's it. Maybe having some laser/ microdermabrasion, etc treatments here and there, but don't go too crazy.
The real thing you need to save for, is a face lift and a blepharoplasty, later. That's the most effective anti aging tool you can get and a good surgeon is expensive, but you will look amazing. With botox here and there in the forehead and that's it.
Amir Karam is my favorite surgeon, he is expensive because he's big on youtube (there are literal comments saying his prices increased from $25k to $70k for a facelift or something like that), but he explains skincare and anti aging effectively.

Thanks so much, Cutie!
I read where Linda Evangelista ( I think it was her, a super model) had cool sculpting done, she said it ruined her face, I didn't see the pics

I agree with this. I think topical skincare has its limits as do injectables and treatments. Ideally I would rather save and get a facelift maybe in my mid 40s than spend the money on temporary treatments that I have to keep going back for every few months.
I do love what botox does as far as preventing lines getting etched in deeper though.
I would guess that someone like Jennifer Lopez has maybe had this kind of high quality natural looking work done as opposed to lots of botox and fillers over the years.

I am 100% convinced she had a face lift in her early 40's, right before her face started sagging. A face lift (right when the face starts going down) basically stops the proccess of sagging, because there's no skin to drop anymore, which delays the process for 10-15 years at least.
Also Angelina Jolie and Kate Beckinsale.
You can't have such a youthful neck, sharp face contour and jaw at almost 50, without a knife (ok, laser, no one uses knife anymore lol)...
Kate Beckinsale is my top favorite when it comes about surgeries. She fucking nailed everything: botox and acid in just enough amounts, in the right places, perfectly done face lift. She didn't pump her face, she didn't fill her cheeks until she looked like Jigsaw. Her face is a fine artwork and this is what I am aiming for.
This is her latest picture. I like Getty Images because they show them without filters. On Instagram she looks 20 years younger but I don't care, since I am an online entertainer, no customer can see me in real lol :)))) https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/kate-beckinsale-attends-warner-bros-premiere-of-the-suicide-news-photo/1332077301?adppopup=true
I am turning 30 next year, I got 10 years to save about $100k, because that will be my 40'ish gift for myself. A massive procedure to stop the time in place.
Idk how people look up at the Kardashians, I feel their surgeries real suck for the amount of $$ and connections they have. Maybe Kourtney looks decent, but the rest look weird.

I think J Lo and Angelina are really good examples of this. I saw a pic of Angelina recently too and she has had something else done but it's so good you can't figure out what. I think the old school of thought was that you wait until you really 'need' work done and thats why you would get ppl having these obvious, drastic changes almost overnight...I love the idea of having subtle tweaks before the face slides down too far!

Question on hair. Anyone ever had synthetic hair extensions or hair volume added compared to real? We all prefer real (obvi) but my place has stopped doing customs and is only doing stock because they're popular now. *Sigh* I don't know where to go now. My hair lasted close to 2 years. But the time has come. I can buy time going to sallys but ultimately I want something really good.
I could last like another six months adding one more layer of hair extensions but that's it. I have not curled this hair once which is why it lasted so long and air dry only.

Twice. One lady gave me wayyyy too much Botox causing my eyes to droop. Another put under eye juvederm and it made me look like I got punched in the eye. Sometimes less is more.

^Did they correct it? I know sometimes with botox it's a matter of just waiting for it to wear off.
I got botox done at a different place today (have only been to one other place) so I'm probably going to be worrying about it for the next 2 weeks until I have the final result, LOL.

I believe I went to another place to fix it which is where I learned she overdid it. I can't recall what they did to fix it with the botox (believe she had to balance it out with botox in other areas or something?) but with fillers it is hyaluronic acid injections. I've never returned to a place that screwed up because I was scared they would cause more harm than good again.
The absolute worst was getting a groupon botox. I had to walk around for days with whatever they injected in me feeling like a dinosaur with large lumps. Yelp decided to remove the review after I refused to remove my review or go back and "get it fixed" so others could be warned. Ya fucked up once and my face is my moneymaker LOL. They paid for the yelp removal just like a strip club I know who does the same thing.

The botox place paid yelp to remove my review even though they messaged me to fix it. I declined any more service on my face since it should've been done right the first time. I received nothing lol! I've heard shady things about yelp from businesses if they refuse to pay them the advertising fee as well.

Ohhhh, I thought they pay the client (sorry english is not my native language). Omg that's even more shitty then, if Yelp does that...
Lol, getting fixed by the same place that fucked it? Why the hell they couldn't offer a decent service from the first?! Smh... It's like going to an abusive boyfriend to give you a kiss on the forehead.

Yelp is a scam. If the business doesn't pay the bad reviews are highlighted .
If they pay the business can " re-organize " reviews . If they pay the reviews " magically " just kind of get better .
I know because I have owned a business for 19 years ( years before them coming onto the scene around 2009-2010 ish ) .
I have threatened them with legal action before, demanded they quit calling me for advertising spending ( I won't support a site like this ), and I still track everything they do that relates to my business in case I need to go to court to fight.
There is also NO support for owners .
If a nut goes online and just wants to hurt you they will leave it up especially if you don't pay.
So just take it with a grain of salt what you see there ......

I love my Botox doctor. She makes my results look natural. I need to head in soon.
Clinique's dramatically different lotion is a Godsend and a game- changer. The Ulta in Target sells little mini tubes of it for 6 bucks. Need to get more tomorrow.

I just got a great deal for a 20x pack of garnier sheet masks :)) Self care, here I am!
I also need to buy some dry sheet masks, because these Garnier ones have so much liquid left in that package, that I feel bad to throw. Also grossed out to use the same sheet more than twice, so I will dip a dry one into the liquid left :D

Decided I don't like Paulas Choice or DECIEM all that much. I've tried several products now and they are all just OK. They don't really DO anything for me, they don't FEEL as good on my skin and I can see the texture of my skin isn't quite as good when using them. They are a bit/a lot cheaper but also don't seem to last as long anyway, IME.
I'm going shopping this weekend and am going to get some of my faves. I don't shop much for other stuff so it's my treat.

I was scared to try a new place too. It was OK though. I don't think this Dr is as precise as the previous one but TBH as long as I don't have crazy lopsided eyebrows etc it's good enough for the next few months, also considering it was cheaper.

Let me know what you pick up! I'm always looking for upgrades. I'm loving Revision currently. I have their 30% vitamin c / complexion corrector - just a really nice texture. The PC 25% vitamin c cream isn't my favorite texture, by contrast, so i upgraded.

Special cleansing gel (I already have Ultracalming cleanser - I like to alternate them depending on how my skin feels that day)
Multiactive toner
Multivitamin power serum
Will maybe also get an eye cream
Recently got the Skin smoothing cream

I got Botox from Groupon and it was the worst, only lasted 3 months and left dents in my forehead permanently. Nobody else really notices it but I can tell there r little prick marks since years ago. Now I only go to my plastic surgeon, hers is 500 and is done right and lasts 5 plus months so it’s worth it! The Groupon was only like 2-300 btw and a nurse did it not surgeon

Right! Now I’m too skeptical to go to anyone but a plastic surgeon specifically mine no matter the price cause I see how important the right person doing this stuff is, it’s way worth it to pay the price!

It's rough out there in the hair department. I went on Etsy this morning and spent 1,200 on hair which comes in like 4-7 days. I cringe at the cost but it had to be done. At least they have a return policy if it isn't up to the customers standards when you open the box.
Sometimes it feels like the websites that sell hair make it look amazing and when it arrives it looks ghastly or not even the right color.

I was looking for a satin bonnet for when I go to hotels since I can't bring a satin pillowcase since all pillows are different. One that was top rated on amazon creeped me out hearing some people's feedback on how the color of the satin or something bleeded onto the pillowcase over time. I was thinking "so this is gonna dye my hair?"

I have a really nice one from etsy, and i don't use it. If you tighten it enough so that it won't fall off, then you're likely to leave a mark on your skin / hair, and if you don't tighten it enough, it'll fall off. Just my experience. It's also kind of a pain to get all of your hair into it, but there are some methods that make it easier. I use a mulberry silk pillowcase instead. You could buy a couple in different sizes. If you're a member, then Costco is about to have a sale on theirs - i think it starts on 11/22.

This is probably insane, but I enquired about arranging a consultation for fillers...it turns out this drs earliest availability is the beginning of Nov next year! I booked in. LOL.
I'm prepared to wait as I am extremely wary about trying fillers for the first time anyway and really want to see him in particular. It also gives me (a lot of) time to think about whether I want it/how I want it.
One reason is I recently started hormone therapy as I was diagnosed with early perimenopsuse, so I want to see if my face changes as a result.
My eyes got very hollow and sunken and it's possible that could improve as a result of rebuilding estrogen levels. I'm quite scared to have tear troughs filled as I know it can potentially create further issues with lumpiness and sagging.
My lips have never been full, though, and they're also uneven due to some scarring on one side, so I know I definitely want those plumped up.

Yeah I've seen her story. Some were just nasty, saying she is faking it and everything. I am not gonna get vaccinated for now, but I do fear covid, but I take extreme measurements to not contact it and it's sad that in general, those who refuse the vaccine, are not like me (aka refuse, but protect themselves and others), they simply do not believe either in covid or the vaccine. I am glad she made that video, although, she just explained herself in front of some trolls.

I do that cheesy reapply foundation with my beauty blender to get rid of oil showing on my skin. I just didn't want to waste money after splurging on new hair as well as root dye and botox. I've also decided to get slight nasolabial fold filler. So I've been spending a lot lately on beauty but hell if I feel good about myself then I'm happy.
And girlllll I've always wanted to consider an eyebrow transplant and saw Chrissy Teigen's she just got. Holyyyyyy shit. She went to someone so bad at it. Oh my god they are beyond thick. Scared me out of it. She looked fine before. Looks wayyyy too thick.

Well, this is what brings you money so never look at it when it comes about investments. I am not being cheap on stuff for work, either it's beauty or technology because it brings me the money back x 10 :)))
Speaking of the eyebrows, the cosmetician does what the client wants. So, if you don't want is as thick, I am sure you can request that :)))
Or just try microblading, if you haven't. My eyebrows are fully restored after I had it done, 3 years ago, but I still go every year and do it, because it keeps my brows nicely shaped and don't need to fill them as much anymore.
Now my tattoo is kinda faded because it's been almost 2 years since i went last time (thanks to the pandemic and that i have to drive 5 hours, to another city), but at the begining of 2022 gonna go back and redo them.

U mean the micro blading for eyebrows? I have been looking at a place for this, I think the hybrid ones look best, mine r way too thin naturally, if I had good ones I’d be hesitant

No it's a hair transplant from the back of your head to your eyebrows. Microblading is totally different. I'd settle for microblading after seeing her results and part of me questions how long the eyebrow hair will grow if it is from the back of your head? Maybe I'm stupid but how does this work or will people be walking around with 17 inch hair eyebrows and having to constantly trim the brows lol.
They do hair transplants like that for your actual head so how do they control the growth level for eyebrows? (that's my main question)
I'm back using careprost for my brows. I'm overdue.

Yes, it keeps growing, comparing with the natural eyebrows hair. But you only need to trim it once a month. I personally trim my eyebrows every 2 weeks anyway, when I am also tweezing them, to keep a nice shape. It's not a big deal, a 2 seconds work, I assume it's same procedure with transplanted brows.
Speaking oh Chrissy Teigen, considering the procedure is fresh, i believe some of the hair will fall, probably re-shaped and tweezed and her brows will get thinner in time, untill she will have a perfect shape.
In my case, when I got my first microblading done, my technician gave me some thick tattoo (I actually got scared, but he told me to trust him). When the tatoo started to fall after the first procedure, i could see why it was thicker, because it would start to fade/ fall and it would remain only on my eyebrows. Then, after the retouch, I got perfect brows.

Today I colored my hair a new color and it looks really nice. It's Schwartzkopf truffle brown and it's not too dark. Costs less than the other brand I used too so that is a win as well.

So.. Would y'all get this?
I know they have other ones, someone said you don't need to buy extra attachments, +the smaller size makes it easier to use, (gets in hard to reach ti areas)
I'm looking for firming..
