^ I don't know how effective those devices are. I would be tempted. Then again, I had a Nuface a few years ago but ended up selling it as it felt weird on my skin somehow - not quite burning it but a tingling that wasn't pleasant...plus, I wasn't patient enough to see any results so felt like a hassle.

So.. Would y'all get this?
I know they have other ones, someone said you don't need to buy extra attachments, +the smaller size makes it easier to use, (gets in hard to reach ti areas)
I'm looking for firming..

Hmm I looked at this in the past and saw the price and thought "fuggedaboutit!" ...BUT I just looked it up and it is the only device that has both nano current and micro current waves. Very interesting.
I stuck with the beauty star and it's much stronger than nuface. https://www.amazon.com/Beauty-EP-2000-Microcurrent-Device-Proven/dp/B08JZ5SF45/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8#customerReview s
My only issue is if you have TMJ and jaw clenching problems, these machines fuck your jaw tightness up over time and make it worse.

Yea, I hear ya, I already have 2 face manual rollers, I don't always use them on a consistent basis, but I'm trying.. They do feel cooling & good tho..
MDNA (Modonna skin care) has this, it's for eyes, but people say they use it on the face cause it's easier to manipulate than the large one."ultra, infrared rays from high density carbon rollers."

Damn, it's on sale til the end of the month, - $50. off

Ooh, thanks so much!
I do indeed have the beginnings of TMJ, sure AF don't want to make it worse!
I wonder if the MDNA roller would be okay for TMJ issues?

Interesting, I have never heard of the MDNA roller. I have to look into that one.
I also have the mlay radio frequency skin & body tightening machine which works great over time. I love this product but I rarely use it because it says to not use it with botox or filler until 3 months after (they probably should have disclosed that before sending it) your injections. The machine becomes pointless since you have to go in for touchups every 3 months.
I'm still keeping this machine around just in case when I go vanilla and make horrible money after taxes. (It cost me 150 more due to inflation this time when I got botox 620-ish bucks every 3 months isn't for me unless I decide to get a second job lol)

Wooooowwww, i just looked at the reviews for this machine. I mean... wowza!!! I never trusted this kind of stuff, but... really tempted to buy something like this now! I am 29, got no fillers yet and seriously desperate to keep looking 20-25 as many people think I am hahahah :))) Hmmmmm, I really like this device, I think I'm gonna buy one in the upcoming months as I want to delay fillers for (hopefully) 5 more years.

Be super, super careful. Read the second review on that product. You can seriously mess up your face by changing fat deposits... If you're interested in RF, consider going to a professional.
"We have fat / tissue deposits in the right places when we are young and healthy, but as we age they tend to disappear slowly and Hollywood has popularized the use of fillers to replace them.
This thing if not careful can definitely suck the healthy looking young fat right off you, leaving you more hollow and older looking without the defining cheekbones and temples and eye areas and corners of the jaw.
I will only use it from now on under my neck only to keep a tight jaw line but I’ve aged my own face pretty clearly using this too much too fast and on the highest setting.
My smile has changed, cheekbones shrank, symmetry has flattened, and facial skeleton is more hollowed out. My temples are now SUNK in lmao.
I didn’t think of any possible downsides of using this.... I didn’t realize fat / tissue deposits is what keeps a face looking good and young and fertile and healthy. That's why everyone in the dermatologist space administers fillers. I thought it all came down to collagen, muscle tone, skin elasticity / tightness. Wrong lol"

You're right. I was going to say that I only wanna use it on neck/ jaw, to prevent the laxity. I don't think I wanna touch my cheeks. I used to hate my baby fat cheeks in my early 20's but I am glad I didn't get rid of it, because now I look younger than I really am. I don't like the hollowed look either.
I definitely gonna go to a professional too, that's why I said I didn't really trust these products haha :)) But my fat deposits on the face are also in the neck, resulting a nice double chin that I've had for my whole life and I'd like to get rid of it. I seriously considered surgery, but I saw nice improvements in the pictures, regarding jaw and I might wanna try this. Not gonna buy it yet, tho... but yeah :))) I'm gonna look at pros, cons and make sure I am using it wisely. Thank you for the heads up!
Edit: I know what happened to Linda Evangelista so yeah, I am definitely being super cautious about trying these things. I'd rather trust fillers/ surgery than things that stimulate fat in any way... pretty crazy and literally gave me some fear to try anything that uses temperature to dissolve fat.

Well thank you for that, Charlie.
I've been using these, (not on a consistent basis)
The purple one is Nurse Jamie, (it has tourmaline srones) the other's from urban outfitters.
I know the NJ one says to a avoid middle of neck area, that being delicate.

Today I colored my hair a new color and it looks really nice. It's Schwartzkopf truffle brown and it's not too dark. Costs less than the other brand I used too so that is a win as well.

I just used a blond shampoo, I dye my roots myself, I had highlights done not too long ago, the root touch up darkens it.
The shampoo brightened it back up, so it looks better, not so dull/dark

I am not pleased with my botox currently. I know I'm being picky. Ugh, I'm thinking it's because I waited like 11 months to get it and she used the same amount on my chart. I want to go back for more. I thought over time that I would need less not more botox. She was a nurse practitioner and not an RN. Gahh I'm bummed. I don't know if this is my fault for waiting so long to go in to preserve my face or it was her fault for not giving me enough botox?
I'm embarrassed to go back and have them say there is no more botox we can give you like the plastic surgeon I went to LOLLL but I'm picky. I just feel like she didn't give me enough on my forehead.

And another quick question, I forgot if there is a peeling phase with retin-a micro?? I'm not sure if I'm applying too much or this is normal when first restarting it? I'm using a bunch of moisturizing products, lotions, serums, and that's the only thing I can think is causing the skin on my chin to peel?

It's normal to have your skin peeling when using retinoids, you just have to get trough this phase. Your skin is regenerating, that's why it's peeling. Many people abandon the process when skin starts peeling, because they get scared, but you gotta hang in there. Try to use Avene Cicalfate cream. Extraordinary cream for any kind of irritations and wounds. I use it for when I got skin irritations from shaving, cold weather, fitbit watch, sweating, chaffing or when my skin is peeling.
I found an US link for the cream I am talking about, so you know: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Avene-Cicalfate-Restorative-Skin-Cream-3-3-Fl-Oz/534696553 It's really thick and oily, but try to apply it after u use retinoids, before sleeping. It's gonna help you get trough the peeling phase. The peeling thing is gonna last for 2-3 weeks I think, so be patient and try to use the retinoids every other day in the begining and slowly build it to daily use. Of course, if it's not too much for you and you feel no discomfort, you can do it daily right from the first.
And you just reminded me I should start using retinoids again. It's the fucking "botox" of the skin, really gonna keep my skin glowing thorought the years.

Eek :(. I have been using the retin-a micro 1 time daily since day 1 and only a pea-sized amount. Hopefully I'm not getting carried away with usage. It didn't really come with directions from a dermatologist because it's cheaper on alldaychemist.

Beauty random... I've tried to do the "wash your hair less" / hair training thing for YEARS at this point, and I'm done. My hair does not adjust to that whatsoever, and it's clear that it's not healthy for my hair type. After even a couple of days, my scalp is greasy, i start getting flakes, my ends are absolutely parched despite use of high-quality leave-ins / added hydration to my ends, etc. (I don't use styling products, so the flakes are not product buildup). And that's with impeccable diet, vitamins, omega 3s, GLA, everything. It does not work for me.
I've gone back to washing every other night, and my hair and scalp have never looked better. Using pureology these days. No sulfates, but adding high-tech silicones back in has really helped.
Trichologists recommend against washing infrequently unless you're older (scalp produces less sebum), or you have a curly / coily hair type. The scalp should be treated like skin... and going 4-7+ days without washing isn't healthy for most people.

It feels like a confusing battle with hair. I agree. And the "wash your hair less" thing is really tough because they say to hydrate your ends with oil daily. So one part of me was flaky on the scalp (prolly need to go to someone to figure out if it is officially dandruff or psoriasis finally) and the bottom of my hair is oily. I just wash it a lot more as of now because it feels refreshing as well and it's hard to figure out what to do instead of slathering on products every day to buildup. It's frustrating but my hair always winds up dry.
They have so many different face products out there for different skin types and I dunno it feels different for hair product lines? One thing I did come across which was interesting recently was scalp scrubs.

Same here, I have exactly same scalp. I have to wash it every other day. I tried the same and it didn't work.
I realized how uninformed some people are. As time as you trim your hair every 4-6 months, the "damaging your hair because of washing too often" is pure bs. The more often you trim your hair, the longer it grows.
I always use a heat protective serum or cream, before blow drying and styling my hair and it looks amazing even after 6 months, when I go having a haircut. And I have thin and fragile hair.
I don't know how long some want to wait before having a haircut. After 4 months, the haircut already starts losing it's shape and you need to trim those ends regardless.
So yeah, I am happily washing and styling my hair every 2-3 days now.

Hmm how am I so far behind on hair products?! I googled scalp serum for the hell of it as well and sure enough there are one's and even found a pre-cleanse. Pre-cleanse is something new to me. The most interesting one is this one on Sephora with AHA/BHA and niacinamide in it. https://www.sephora.com/product/sunday-riley-clean-rinse-clarifying-scalp-serum-with-niacinamide-P459499?skuId=2370963

Yes!!! I have spent years at this point feeling grimy and unclean for days between washes, only to conclude that not washing does absolutely nothing positive for my hair growth or health. I honestly feel like it's actually harmed my hair health - spending extra days with a greasy scalp and dandruff (when trying to push wash days) cannot be healthy. I'm not sure how i fell for the hype around this trend.

It's easy to fall for it. I did fall too for a short while, then all I had to do was to wake the fuck up and look at my own hair and be like: Oh, but my hair is actually ok, I am triming it every 4-6 months regardless and it grows back just fine and it's part of the process to get the ends split, because... duh!! Wtf! :))))
I mean, I MUST trim my hair anyway, otherwise it starts looking flat, lifeless, shapeless and everything.

How long you can go really depends on your hair and probably skin type. If my hair wasn’t bleached out I would probably need to wash it everyday too. Recently I detoxed myself from my dependence on dry shampoo and looked oily and gross for a couple of weeks, but it did chill out and allow me to get away with my usual 2ish times a week after that. Both dry shampoo and washing your hair too much (esp purple products) will fuck up a blonde.

Yes! A lot of the women i follow on YouTube who influenced me to try this for so long just have different hair types than i do. As you mentioned, one of them has bleached hair and also heat styles, so she just washes once a week. Sigh.

I was thinking that about them even though I had not read reviews, I just feel like the more amped up a place is or advertised doesn’t really mean your gonna get a good job or deal. I’m more about quality than quantity

It was weird the woman was msg me this week then said she has to talk to me to tell price. We did a zoom and she was talking about packages. I am calling some other places tomorrow. My old place is good but far since I moved.

Totally agree! Not a lot of experience myself, but I hear clients complaining. They appear very professional with a good website etc etc, but they fail on knowledge and customer service. And they're often pricey. That company won't get my money.

When I wanna try the expen$I've shit I go on ebay or poshmark, ebays good for samples/better prices.
I tried the Revision neck cream, it was so so.
Glad I bought it eb, still kinda high, it was a full size
I was just going to say that I do the same thing on eBay with samples and they usually last a long time and it's cheaper in the end and is just as good as spending up to billion dollars on one freaking product.

I'm getting eyelash extensions today and I made a Juvederm appointment for February. Hadn't done those things since pre-covid, because I wasn't working in a club and didn't see the point. Also ordered a teeth whitening kit. I'm excited for my mini glow-up. Filler lips and fake lashes make me feel significantly prettier.

Ughhhh I think I got carried away with all the retin a micro, glycolic acid, AHA/BHA, and have to take a break from my skincare. My face feels red, peely, irritated, and I have a few tiny scabs on my forehead that I think burnt my skin.
I'm wondering if this is because I didn't slowly acclimate into using these products and just went fully into using them all. I only use a pea size amount of retina micro too. *Sigh*

Yeah, those are some serious actives that need to be introduced very gradually, especially if you have sensitive skin. Retin-a basically accelerates cell turnover, and all of the acids you're using will chemically slough the cells off. So it's a lot for your skin to adjust to.. it also depends on what % of acid you're using and whether it's a leave-on product vs. wash-off product...
Slow and steady / gradual is always the way to go with skincare. People like the idea of overnight results, but more often than not, aggressive treatments will just destroy your skin barrier and leave your skin even more vulnerable and cranky than before. It's best to work your way up to everything slowly, and when you're new to skincare, the whole thing can feel like a science experiment...

Okay so I read online it may be too much or not good for a person who is not pregnant to take prenatal vitamins. I'm on day 3 of it but I recall other ladies saying it did wonders for their health. I usually don't eat too healthy or much lately and thought this would be a good option? Basically I'm writing to confirm this is an okay idea or should I just stick with a multivitamin haha.

^most vitamins, you'll pee out if you ingest more than what your body needs. There are exceptions, like iron, and fat-soluble vitamins D,E,K, and A. If you're deficient in any of those, then the prenatal will help. If you aren't deficient, then i think you're unlikely to cause harm unless you're taking massive quantities of the vitamins, especially if you have a monthly period (lose iron).
In general, it's always better to get vitamins and minerals from whole-food sources rather than vitamins. You're also much less likely to throw your body out of balance with whole foods. Supplements will never be able to replace the need for a good diet. And research on supplements (as opposed to nutrients that come from food consumption) is very limited and inconclusive, so I'd say invest in food before vitamins, and keep expectations reasonable!
I'm more of a fan of supplementing with stuff that's hard to come by in the diet in sufficient quantities. Omega 3s (i take 2 grams a day in addition to eating fish a few times a week), GLA, alpha lipoic acid, vitamin e, vitamin d, HSN vitamins, triphala, MSM... stuff like that. I'm definitely into supplementing to try to reach the next level of health! I don't take too much of any one vitamin, and i keep my expectations reasonable. I just like experimenting to see if i notice any differences.

I was facetiming my friend in London yesterday. Her face looked really good .She told she had Profhilo injection and a bit of botox. I was googling and found out it's not approved in the USA and read some articles about beauty editors flying to London to get. I want looks better than filler.

I realized recently that i don't have any holy grail skincare products. That's kind of disturbing. Just tretinoin.

Spring Valley Hyaluronic acid serum found in the vitamin aisle at Walmart for 6 bucks is actually pretty decent!
