This combined with doing a coconut oil deep conditioning ( the cap on overnight), has transformed my hair from dry, brittle yuck, to silky smooth, and healthy.
I knew it was working, because total strangers are once again complimenting me on my hair, and guys are reaching out and touching it.I just threw away like 10 wigs, because I don't need them anymore.
Yippee!

I can't stop touching my hair. It's so silky, and shiny from using the baby shampoo, and deep conditioning with coconut oil.
My date a couple of weeks ago, kept complimenting me on my hair, and kept touching it.
I played back a video I made yesterday, for my YouTube channel and wowza! Even in dim lighting it was shiny and so healthy looking.
#Score!

Protip for coconut oil- wrap your hair ends in shopping bag plastic & tape. I don't do coconut oil often because it's so messy but it is the cheapest most effective deep conditioner.

I got my nails done today, I had my new color already picked out but when I showed up I loved the custom color that was being done on the previous lady's nails. I told my nail guy to give me what she had so he did, then when the client after me showed up she saw my nails and was like "Oooh I like that! I'm going on vacation next week and it will match my swimsuits!" So he had to do the same damn thing 3x in a row lol, maybe more because who knows if the chain continued..........

I made my appointment for my lip injections and I picked a new place, now that I've officially gone to like 8 different people for filler I'm honestly thinking of just making a thing of it and purposely going to a different person every time so I can say I've been to everyone in the city lol. Wait let me count how many I have actually gone to. Okay I counted 7 but I could be forgetting someone.

Also I wishhhh there was something to do to gain weight in my boobs. My upper body is naturally pretty skinny and, because that area is thin to begin with, it becomes damn-near skeletal when my body fat lowers. I was pretty flat-chested before I had implants and so I've always had issues with rippling but normally I'd only see it when in certain weird positions and shit, but when my body fat is low enough(which isn't even that low) and the little bit of breast tissue I had goes away my boobs will be ripply in just about any position. So I have to keep my weight up but I don't know how because when I eat in the way that I prefer to, weight loss is automatic. Also I've been building muscle and I like how that looks with fat on top of it. I could add a ton of heavy cream to everything but I don't think my system likes dairy very much.

Dairy definitely softens the look of muscle up a ton, bodybuilders actively avoid it when they're trying to get super vascular ... but if it gives your system hell that might not be fun :(

I took Zoloft a few times this month (toying around with going on an antidepressant - decided not to keep taking it). And that shit killed my skin. I've never heard of an SSRI causing acne, but I can't think of what else it could be. Even when I break out around my period, it's very minor - just a few whiteheads or whatever. Zoloft gave me welts. Luckily not everywhere on my face. And they wouldn't come to a head, so they were easy to cover. But I'd keep waking up with new zits - deep, large, red. Wtf?

charlie61
09-26-2016, 11:50 AM
Zoloft also gave me small red bumps on random areas of my body. Not clusters of them or anything. Just, random red dots. Wtf. I guess it's an 'extremely rare side effect'. Suuuure. I swear I only took it for like four days. Acne, red spots...

Anyone have a good detox supplement or self-care recommendation for getting rid of post-SSRI symptoms?

If I were to get botox, it would probably be in my jawline to shrink the muscles there and give me a more feminine/younger look.

^^Lol whenever I see before/after pics of that I usually like the befores better because I love when women have very square jaws. I guess because I have a very weak jaw and we always want the opposite of what we have........

I'm thinking about getting my brows tatted. I naturally have brows but they're asymmetrical and I bet they could even them out with tats.

Oh and I'm very excited because there's a muscle I can see starting to pop out that I've never seen on my body before, according to an anatomy diagram it's my gluteus medius. Now I just need it to at least quadruple in size...

So when I get my lips done I usually buy a whole syringe, have them stick some in my lips then whatever's left wherever else on my face that could use it. When I had my lips done today they told me 1 syringe would most likely be way too much and to do half, which is fine with me because it saves me money, and when I told them about how I get a whole syringe every few months they were like: "Yeah, stop that. You only need half, you are running the risk of splitting your lip." LOL. I mean I'm sure it's possible but there's plenty of women walking around with filled lips that are 3x my size so that confused me.

Also this is a plastic pet peeve: I hate how whenever you mention having some procedure done there's always some guys who pipe up with the whole "Don't do it, you're perfect how you are!" crap. Like hello, I only look so 'perfect' now--I only have this appearance that you dig--because of previous procedures lol. You obviously seem to like the results of the procedures I'm doing so stfu.

^^Is that like a Brazilian blowout? Because I used to do them for a while, I have fluffy wavy hair. I loved it because it would always make my hair air dry beautifully because there would never be any frizz or fluff. I stopped doing it though because while it was really nice it wasn't life changing and I'd rather spend money on something else because it's not like they're dirt cheap. You actually got me thinking about it again now though....... My hair is only shoulder-length right now though so maybe it's not worth it especially since I plan to cut it shorter.

I love Sally's! 20 developer, coconut oil, patience and wella toner..mixed 3/4 lightest beige blond with 1/4 medium beige blond toner for the perfect color. Came out beautiful, I'm honestly kinda shocked. just saved myself 100 bucks.
Now I want to learn how to do my own nails for ultimate money-saving-beauty-prowess lol.
I've also become obsessed with 1960s style makeup..the big twiggy eyes with the exaggerated crease and long bottom lashes make my eyes look HUGE I love it. Especially if you use a white or cream shadow all over and white in the waterline..Now I want the cute little bangs and teased roots

I got a few of them when I was younger and remember being very happy with the results. I hate the texture of my natural hair. Very prone to frizz, and lots of shorter baby hairs around my face that, when straightened with an iron, tend to just stick out more. I have fine hair, so if I use products to correct those issues, my roots get oily super quickly...then I have to wash it more often, which creates more flyaways... the cycle continues. :/

I'm afraid to do this myself tho. My hair's kinda fragile, I had 2 big hair cuts this summer, which've grown out & I don't wanna have damage.

So I'm starting to think I want a nose job. I've never liked my nose, it's not huge but it is on the bigger side and it's very crooked, it only bothers me in pictures though and not-so-much in the mirror so it's never bothered me enough to want to operate on it. However I love learning about anatomy and kinesiology and exercise science and the more I do the more I learn how everything affects everything else. I belong to the school of thought that believes that mobility issues and muscular imbalances in the body all start with issues with the head(like breathing issues or eyesight issues....) and that the most effective way to fix the body issues is to fix the head ones that are causing the chain of reaction in the first place. I have had multiple mobility issues my whole life and I've had ear and nose problems my whole life so it makes sense to me. I have always figured that my crooked nose meant I have a deviated septum and I've always had trouble breathing which I figured had to do with all my ear and nose problems but I'm just used to it and never really think about it. Today though I did an experiment and realized that I have next-to-no air going out my right nostril. Like even when I'm blowing with all my might the air coming out of it is *maybe* half as much as what comes out of the left nostril without trying. So now I'm like 'No wonder I'm so fucked up.' I think in a couple months when all of my other stuff is done I'm going to make an appointment with an ENT doctor and have them assess my situation, if they think surgery would really benefit me I'll probably do it. But they might say my case isn't that bad, I have no idea.

I'm just nervous about the look of my nose changing because I feel like I only like nose job results when the patient had a HUGE nose to begin with. It's when I see nose jobs that were done on people whose noses were within a normal size range that they end up looking like 'nose job noses' to me. Plus I have a very narrow kind of 'horse face' and when I've seen girls with that kind of bone structure get nose jobs it always seems to me like the thinner nose makes their faces look even thinner and horsier. Although I wouldn't be having my nose made smaller, just straighter I suppose.

I've got time to think about it. I have a list of things to do that I'm trying to knock out, December is when I get my areolas done, there's a birthmark I want lasered that I'll probably do in January and then I want that underarm laser for sweating which I'll probably do in Feb. So March will be nose time........

Idk....don't be fooled by instagram. Whenever I see candid photos of her she looks really plain to me and I saw a photo of her from that^^ same event and thought her ass looked a little saggy. A while ago she responded to some plastic surgeon that was theorizing in an article about what she has had done to her face by telling him he was wrong and that she hasn't done anything and I totally believe her because she completely looks her age to me.

^^Tell that to Madonna. :geezer:

So I have a possible tip for hair growth; I've been taking desiccated liver pills for maybe the last 8 weeks, they recommend taking 4 a day but I take 5 a day(I think I'm anemic so I take extra). When I was ordering more the other day I saw that the site was claiming that increased hair and nail growth is one of the supplement's benefits but I didn't pay it any mind because I feel like every fucking supplement claims that these days. Well when I went and had my hair done yesterday my stylist was literally shocked by how much my hair had grown in 3 months, she even measured it to prove to me that she wasn't crazy. My hair normally grows slow as fuck so maybe it is the pills.

Hey, where you been, girlie?^ What's a daith?

Heyyy. Just been offline a lot. Focusing on getting my shit together. A daith is an inner ear fold piercing. It has some medical studies backing it up suggesting it might be helpful in preventing some types of migraines, which is why I got it. I'm going to do my other side tonight maybe too, since I don't only get unilateral migraines.

I've been wanting a bunch of piercings in my ears, like this: http://media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/originals/f3/e3/f6/f3e3f6d4fb2de257afc6f2d288338c91.jpg

They're probably really short posts with internally threaded backs that screw on. If you go to the same piercist for all of them, s/he will likely have no issue changing out your jewelry for you, which is what I do when I want my weird ones swapped out. Many of them will even swap out jewelry in piercings they didn't do for a tip. They know it's difficult without being able to see it/easily reach it with gloves and the proper lubricant sometimes.

I'd sell my soul for a shampoo/conditioner combo for fine hair that needs moisture and doesn't make my hair oily within the day. Gaaah.

I do not understand how to eat healthy without losing weight. I know the obvious answer is to just eat more of the healthy food, but I feel like there's no way to overeat with that kind of stuff. Like you can only eat so much meat, it is extremely filling and satiating. In an effort to get more protein into my diet I will have a big protein-rich breakfast which will keep me full till dinner time, if I added in a lunch I would be too full for dinner and would still end up with 2 meals.

I bought the copper-plated paddle brush from Goody (at Target) and I'm liking it so far. Seems to reduce frizz and it's a nice size for long hair.

Also bought the low-poo shampoo from devacurl on amazon. Hoping it'll allow me to wash my hair more often without stripping it of healthy oils. Oily roots, dry ends...story of my life. OK serious question- I almost bought Wet N Wild's Rose Gold lip gloss because it doesn't look like rose gold tint in the tube. But I have true olive skin so it won't work on me if it indeed is a warm tint. Has anyone tried it & does it go on with a warm tint?

Yeah I know it's only a couple bucks per tube but I'm not made of money lol.

Also Wal Mart is phasing out certain brands to include pricier brands- NYC isn't being carried by my local one anymore but the Hard Candy section grew. Just sharing. Word to the wise hit ethnic markets for the hard to find budget brands.

Yeah unfortunately I already eat stuff a lot higher calorie than that. I like to eat pretty much paleo style so I'm not scared of saturated fat and eat a lot of it, but it's very filling. Like a normal breakfast for me is a four egg omelet cooked in butter with heavy cream and vegetables sauteed in lots of butter, and then I'm full till dinner time. I think I need to just eat as soon as there's some room in my stomach.

My braces come off next week and I'm glad, but I'm going to miss them because I like what a quirky physical detail they are and I have some cam custies that are gonna be pretty sad but I'll be so happy to not have to keep driving there for my appointments. For most of my treatment I only had to go in once every two weeks which was fine, but towards the end during the fine-tuning it became every 6 weeks, then 4, then 3. I'm really going to miss the people that work in the office though, it's always the same 3 people and it's usually just the 4 of us when I go in so we always have a good time. I'm curious to see how my lips will look, almost everyone who has injected me says that my braces make the process tricky so maybe I will have different results the next time I do it.

Can anyone recommend an easy and fast way to get self tanner off the palms of my hands? They are orange! Lol!

Do you have any type of scrub? Try that. Or a stronger makeup remover?
If not, try the stuff they use to get hair dye off of skin (go to Sally's)

^I was going to put some sea salt and body wash in my hands and rub them together. My hands look so silly. I just got my nails done so on one side they look nice, but on the other they are orange and covered in calluses. Total stripper hands lol.

Also: Have you tried Heel Toe exfoliating foot lotion? (Sally's) It may work on calluses too. It gets the dead skin off, that might work for the st.

I'll have to give it a try. Thanks for the suggestion!
