This thread is pretty motivating. I love dancing and its nice to know that there isn't really an 'expiration date' to it. I'm 22 and I just started taking my health seriously and learning proper makeup techniques. Those of you who say that you have a more polished look now, do you mean in terms of clothing too?
One thing I notice in the clubs I work is that the dancers in their 30's and 40's who clean house tend to have more upscale / classier outfits, clear heels, less neon etc. I think its a great look. Most of the other 20-somethings in my club (including myself!) wear more of the sequins and sort of typical trashy stripper wear.

Polished doesn't necessarily mean you have to wear something specific, it just means that you look like you put some effort into your look. Having great makeup and hair will go a lot further than a brand new outfit tbh. I hate to talk shit, but one girl I work with wears outfits from victoria's secret but she doesn't wear enough makeup and has SUCH a bad haircut and dye job it kills her whole look. I make way more money when my makeup is on fleek than when I rushed through it and put on an expensive outfit. You have to take into the consideration what kind of club you work at, what the clients are like, etc.

I've noticed when you have a tight rocking bod, none of the guys give a flying fart about much else.
I wear close to 0 makeup (I keep my skin care, workout routine, health and diet on point) and I wear basic tight tube dresses and I make just as much or more than when I used to faff around with 50 dollar gel nails and three different eye shadows and fake lashes. My skins better, my wallet is better, my money is better, and it takes a lot less time that I could be making bank.
Of course I've also learned the closer you are to the old stripper Barbie "ideal" the more you can get away with. Back when I gained a bunch of weight from medication, I needed my bleached hair and makeup.
Hair I'll agree with. Guys do (mostly) love the long silky hair
