I haven't been to platinum but I've been making WAY less here than I'm used to. That's just my experience though.

Oh no ): Less then like a 500 average?

LaLaLondon

500 average on Friday & Saturday if you stay until like 3 am but not during the week :(

When I worked at platinum for a night I didn't see it as a money making club. A lot of guys just hanging out buying overpriced alcohol and not tipping you on stage because of it. Idk maybe that's not the type of club my hustle works with but it just seemed like if you did amazing pole work or had regulars you would make money. And the private dance area was the size of a bathroom stall lol

I ended up back at my old club the penthouse for the first time in 2 months I worked there last night (Tuesday) from 4-2...i got lucky between the 4-6 time frame cus out of the 3 guys that were there I got dances from 2 of them but after about 830 it picked up nicely. I left with $609 after tip out. a lot of girls didn't make much cus they were too busy bitching about how dead it was but I think there was a good amount of guys there and not a lot of regulars which was nice cus its fresh guys to talk to

Thanks for the info! Dot, how hard is it to get hired at Penthouse, do they only hire super skinny ladies? What are the stages/poles like and do I need to be pretty talented on pole or is that not as important..
Thanks, I really appreciate the help (:

Dot

They prefer leaner women but not stick thin. If you have tattoos it may be iffy but other than that it's your basic standards. They're are 4 stages (technically only 3 but Friday and Saturday night they open a catwalk which is just a piece of wood and it's actually really terrible lol but there's only one stage with a pole and it's 2 stories high, spins, and is about an inch larger than regular poles cus it's not a real pole lol

But no pole tricks aren't important

KaraLynn
10-08-2016, 07:12 PM
I worked in Denver a few years back (2012ish) I have tattoos and didn't have issues getting hired at most places because I was pretty thin back then. Now I would probably have trouble. They definitely like their thinner girls at a lot of the clubs out there.

As far as pole tricks are concerned, I noticed a lot of Denver clubs have stages without poles or useless poles, too short, too slippery, too fat etc so most clubs in the city don't seem to be made for pole tricks so anyone would be fine without them.

I'm still at PTs. Weekends are decent and the week is okay/ can be good if you get lucky.

Anyone danced at Players Club?

Dot
10-12-2016, 08:43 AM
I heard that's the "trashy" club...not really sure what that means could be the girls or the customers I've never been in but that's what people have said

cherryb0mb

I've danced there. Total dive but I made decent money.

AvaRenee
10-12-2016, 09:01 AM
I've heard that money is steady and good. I'm also pretty down with dive bar vibe. My personality is laid back and chill.

AvaRenee

A club is a club. I have heard "trashy" things about them all. Goes with the territory. ;D

It was really easy to sell dances and the tip outs were really low. Most of the girls were on the thicker side (but I did day shift). No VIP area. Just dances. The "stages" are on the floor. No poles. Weird. Haha.

AvaRenee
10-12-2016, 09:21 AM
Maybe its changed a bit since you were there last. I went in the other day just to check it out first because I have a really good friend who is a bartender there, and they had one pole. Fees and tip outs are very low. I also talked to one of the managers and asked about auditions, mentioned I was interested but didn't have my clothes with me. He told me I was beautiful, skinny and my personality was funny and was hired on the spot. I may go in later today. I am going to be doing day shifts also.

10-12-2016, 07:18 PM
Yeah I had no problem getting hired there either. They let me work right away. Honestly it's divey but I don't have anything bad to say about it! It was fun, laid back, easy, and didn't seem dirty. I hope you do well there!

The pole must be new though. Do they still have the stages on the floor? They had like a bannister/tables around them and a lot of girls did stuff on the pipes on the ceiling instead.

cherryb0mb
10-12-2016, 07:21 PM
Also, a lot of the customers didn't speak English so I didn't have to do any hustle beyond "quieres bailar?" :D

Omg I totally forgot about this post! I dunno if you pm'd me LaLaLondon but we should definitely talk. I'll be at Shotguns this weekend and I'm not good at sending messages on here as I don't post much but I'd love advice on Ohio clubs and St.Louis area for traveling.. Let's chat!

NYC.Bianca
10-14-2016, 01:28 AM
Also you should really give Shotguns a chance.. There are rules and you have to have a schedule and treat it like a job but the money is the most consistent you will get in Denver. But I guess it depends on how you hustle, I've worked at Diamonds, La Boheme, Shotguns and I work at Platinum 84 randomly.... It has potential but is super hit or miss.

NYC.Bianca
10-14-2016, 01:31 AM
Oh I also tried Penthouse for one night made $250; thought it was a total joke and left. I don't do well with "hit or miss" clubs that don't get super busy. Or the only customers are just not spending which I feel like at Penthouse there is this system to the hustle there..it's also the most known for all the extras that go on there.

MissLouboutin

I just recently worked at Penthouse and made great money. Receiving the entire amount you charge - $5 is an amazing cut. While I worked there a dancer was kicked out for giving a blowjob so perhaps it isn't as extras-ridden as you may think.

As for getting hired there, the manager who looks like a turtle (forgot his name) sends down a VIP member from upstairs to tip/see if they like you while the rest of the VIP members determine whether you should work there which is a ridiculous hiring practice though the manager is wonderful (from my limited experience) I know this because he told me after hiring me! Perhaps he doesn't do this frequently though.

Misslouboutin it isn't their "real" hiring routine but usually during the day into evening hours when it's a lil slow the second we hear an audition everyone runs to make sure she's good and give our opinion on whether or not she should be hired lol were sick of shitty dancers. Shitty extra girls too lol

Huh, that's weird. He clarified multiple times that the VIP members watched the audition from the upstairs. Must've auditioned on an off night.

Sorry, I haven't checked this in a little while. I've been thinking about auditioning at another club this week but I've been a little nervous. I'm thinking about shotguns or P84 but I'm worried I'm too big for shot guns?

LaLaLondon
10-16-2016, 01:43 PM
Because when I got rejected from diamonds I asked them to recommend another club and they told me labo or diamonds would probably say the same thing . I am curvy but I have boobs and a but and not a big stomach.

You're very hot! Pretty face, great body. They might just be at their limit for dancers. It sucks though that they won't give you a chance. But maybe they will once they lose some ladies. This is a very fluid business. I think they also maybe don't hire a lot because there aren't tons of clubs in that part of the country. But you're super hot.

If you ask me, half the time these mgrs or who ev just play a power trip to reject some one, just cause. Oh, they already know what another club's going to say? Riiiiight::) F 'em try another club & you can always retry.

And you're way hotter than most of the ladies I saw there when I worked there. So it's not you! I think biz is slow there and they're probably just trying not to overbook. So their house girls can still make something.

LaLaLondon
10-18-2016, 09:53 AM
Thanks ladies :) I might do shotguns amateur night on Thursday. My boobs are finally healed enough to do pole work! :) I'm planning on trying back at diamonds next month, worse they can say is no!

I would be really careful with pole work. I know a dancer who did pole work only a few months after her BA. And now has a dent in her boob. And most doctors can't always fix that even with another BA.

Yes^! This is actually a valid reason why they turn down, I meant to say that too. Thanks.

I'm 112 pounds and almost 5'7 (too skinny) and auditioned at Penthouse last week. My friend also went in with me and got turned down as well. He told me to lose 5 pounds, work on my costumes and also found it necessary to pull out the magazines and asked me if I knew anything about what the magazine was about (I was a bartender there for a while, model for 6-7 years, and do pole and burlesque). There was clearly 4-5 girls there that were at least two sizes bigger than me and most others were not "Penthouse Magazine" worthy, no offense to any of the girls whatsoever, just all the things this manager said to me didn't make sense. A simple no would have been acceptable. I was later told that the manager on duty was just in a bad mood, like that's supposed to affect me getting hired. Then he said I could work on myself and come back to audition as many times as I want. Fuck that. No thanks. I'll never step foot in that club again. I used to love PH and everything about it. However, no one in management made me feel welcome or comfortable there which is really sad because the staff, girls, employees, and many customers I know made me feel right at home.

Went immediately to PT's on Evans and got contracted right away. Will probably go in at some point today.

And this's exactly what I said earlier, (I'm not in that area btw) these mgrs, (if you can call them that) are doing a power play by insulting someone, esp someone that is attractive

I don't know if you ended up doing amateur night at shotguns but if not I think you'd totally get hired! I did an amateur night just for the experience getting on stage to decide if I wanted to dance or not, I didn't care to get hired there because they do so many theme nights and you have so many outfits prepared for them. they kinda do what I think of as "cattle" style auditions where they line you up and either tell you that you're hired or what to improve on to get hired. they also really seem to like personality, this really pretty girl acted silly and cute/didn't really dance and she won haha.

you don't actually have to dress up for the theme nights i worked there for 3 years and never dressed up once. they would just like you do, but they can't make you

What's the deal with Diamond Cabaret these days? I won't be taking a Denver trip until at least spring, so I'm just wondering.
