Yeah, I started my period too. I'm not really emotional, I've just been in a "take no shit" kinda mood lately. Like, noone fuck with me or other women or I'll bust a cap in your ass. lol

Period from hell came back. Had some cramps and vomiting, then finally got enough marijuana smoke in me to fall asleep. Feeling great now. :)

For the last six months or so, I thought I was developing PMS-related irritation with people. But, mystery solved...i was just irritated by my fuckbuddy's stupidity. Seriously lacking in neurons. Wow. My 'PMS' has not been an issue ever since i kicked him off the boat..

I started having cramps last night so I took ibuprofen, figuring that my least favorite aunt was on the way, and watched tv until I fell asleep. I woke up in the middle of the night to pee, expecting to see aunt flow here full force but nothing. I woke up to get my daughter on the bus and was still feeling good, other than tired. I went back to sleep only to be rudely awakened by cramps from hell. I got up out of the bed and my ears were ringing, vision was fading to black despite my eyes being open. I got all hot and sweaty and was dry heaving. Then I remembered that I have a fan sitting on the floor because it was hot in here yesterday. I was blindly trying to find it and find the button at the top to turn it on. Success. Something about the air blowing in my face helps bring me out of that weird, near unconsciousness state. It worked a different time before, too. Once my vision came back I went and got my ibuprofen out of the closet, forced some down with yogurt and returned to the fan. Saved by the fan, lol.

Drinking red raspberry leaf tea like it's water today...

Does it help? That sounds like it would be delicious :)

Period started today... I just got some sleep after about 5 hours of vomiting/being unable to keep anything down... not even water. I'm sipping gatorade now and hoping for the best. I smoked weed earlier to help with the cramps, which I think are causing the nausea, but no luck... also threw up the pain meds. Damn, maybe I really should get back on birth control. Next month I'm going to load up on pain meds the instant cramping starts.

^Yeah, I thought it sounded delicious too! But, no. It tastes like leaves. Probably one of the most boring teas I've ever tried. Not bad, but... nothing like what I expected.

Re: Melatonin
When I first read about how melatonin affects your cycle in this thread, I was super, super skeptical. But, then this happened.. I was taking 3mg of melatonin every night for the last few months, since it's a powerful antioxidant. I'd made it a part of my nightly routine. However, I stopped taking it about a week ago after reading that it can affect your sex drive (I'm asexual, but a girl's gotta get her vibration on..). I'd noticed that I wasn't feeling as amorous around my ovulation time as I normally would be, and my natural 'discharge ' (I hate that word) had decreased noticeably throughout my cycle. So I stopped taking it, just out of curiosity.

And now my period is three days late. I was panicking, thinking I might be pregnant. But I've taken four tests, and I'm definitely just late. I am *never* late. I'm on a ridiculously short, but beautifully predictable cycle. Until now! There's no other explanation for this. Even stress has never affected my cycle length. I track it on an app. It has to be the melatonin.

My period seems to be trying to start, now, but it's a super, super slow, gradual start, like nothing I've ever experienced. Bizarre. I lost a week's worth of sanity, thinking I might be pregnant, just because of a little over the counter supplement. I love melatonin, and I'm not trashing it by any means, but I'm just putting this here in case it helps someone else!

Looks like this is my third post in a row... But a month has passed, so uh, that's cool, right? ;)

I made an appointment tomorrow to get a prescription for birth control. My periods are just godawful without it. I spent the past 3 days avoiding the strip club because I have to be at home when my period comes... I throw up, sometimes faint, and can't do anything. Today I almost fainted at home. I'm gonna be traveling abroad soon, and I don't want to be unable to hold a teaching job or be the weird foreigner vomiting/passed out in public somewhere.

Anyone remember what the first month of birth control is like? I used to take Loestrin, but I started it 10 years ago, and I was off it for the past year. Do you remember how many months it took for your cramping/other symptoms to get better?

WEll I will chime in here.

I had my fallopian tubes taken out this year. the first 2 months I stayed on my birth control pills after surgery I guess I wasn't ready to try out the new parts.

This month my period hit me hard I went off my birth controll pills and took the leap of trusting my surgery went as planned that I won;'t have to worry about pregnancy because fallopians tubes are not there to carry any eggs.

What I didn't plan for was mild pain in my hips a week before my period and then also my actual period. I am tracking it on mymonthlycycles love that website.

But now I have to track my moods are little more. because I was not expecting that to happen instant drop in sadness and then some depression. I got regular doctors I see I am not worried about it just for me for the at least 16 years I was on birth control pills according to my therapist everything about my cycle and possibly my mood was artificial created.

Now with just being on my ant-psychotics pill and no birth control pills. I feel I little uneasy but the joy is my natural period is 2 days compare to 4 days or worst almost 2 weeks.

I wish I had weed right now damnit. This is the only time of the month I want to smoke. But I quit weed, so I don't have a connection anymore. I'm having mild pain, but it's still irritating to me, and I don't want to do anything today. I am supposed to meet up with someone but I might end up not going. Periods suck sometimes. :(

One perk of not having sex is that when your period is late , pregnancy is not an option.

But my period was 8 days late and that worries me because it's always regular. The last time this happened was because of stress, but this time I wasn't under a high amount of stress. If my next one is irregular too I'm gonna need to go to the doctor.

I have two generous somewhat regulars who are both coming into town and want to schedule early next week. The problem with that is I know they're going to be wanting fs and I'll be on my period. I know about Instead Cup and have tried those before but that didn't work out because I'm tilted backwards down and have a high cervix. I really don't want to end up having a repeat of my horrible experience with those, that ended with a medical professional having to remove it for me. I had bad experience with sea sponge too, where pieces broke off and I had to go fishing around for the pieces. Ugh! I've heard that some women use the cosmetic sponges. My concern is what if those somehow break in pieces too or get lodged up in there like the Instead Cup? Normally I'd not bother working non-phone sex gigs during my period but I really need the $ because of rent.

I prefer makeup sponges, just don't buy the really flimsy ones. Change it out after each session if you are worried. As someone who has had irregular periods my whole life they really are a lifesaver when it just pops out of nowhere

Black currant oil - 500 mg 2x/ day - has gotten rid of the last of my minor PMS symptoms. My breasts don't get sore at all anymore, and i don't even get the mild burning sensation in my uterus/cramping that i used to get at the beginning of my period. Gamma linolenic acid for the win! Exercise, fish oil, black currant oil, and healthy diet... works for me.

Note that it can take a cycle or two to notice a difference, if you'd like to try it. I buy the Now foods brand. And i take OmegaVia fish oil.

Mine was always lasting 9-11 days (not kidding, quite a third of a month) 'till I took 3 months birth controlls to make it more regulate and it became 5-6days long while taking pills. I don t like unnecessary pills(not even pain killers) so after those 3 months, I quit them and since then, it lasts 7 days or so. They past years and it still 7, pfiuuu:)
I eat sunflower seeds for their vitamin E with a few days before and poof...the agonising pains in the first 2 period days are almost gone or at the minimum level. Plus, noticed that when I ate less in the previous 2 weeks before my period comes, then it will last fewer days, insteaf of 7, will likely be 5 max 6.

Ugh, every month I think irrational thoughts like, "Why can't I just stay pregnant until menopause? Maybe you can just become a surrogate for some infertile couples?" I wish we had Norethisterone here in U.S. I took that pill before to keep my period away for 3 months. It's only available in UK, that I know of. 7-9 days of bleeding is just a major inconvenience and the God awful cramps, ugh! It would be awesome if periods were painless and only lasted 1 or 2 days.

Started one of the worst periods I've ever had in a long time last night. I woke up feeling the urge to go #2 so I got up out of the bed and went to the bathroom. That's when I realized period was here. I took ibuprofen with yogurt and the pain got worse. My ears started ringing and room spinning. I knew that meant I was going to faint so I laid down. I did pass out and when I was conscious again, threw up 7 times. Usually after throwing up the pain goes away but it didn't. I swear I felt like I was contracting like I was in labor. I turned the fan on and blew it in my face and that seemed to help me from passing out again. I don't know. I'm 30 but I feel like I want a hysterectomy because birth control pills don't work to prevent my pain and now it seems ibuprofen no longer works either. I hate this because if I tell my doctor I'll come off as a pain pill seeker, despite the fact that I never use the shit until my period. :(

Maybe you're the one I was talking to in another StripperWeb post (I think it was you) about what happened to me years ago with the Instead cup? The first time I used it, I was able to remove it after a very long time of "bearing down" and sweating bullets trying to dig it out. But the second time, I could not get it out, and had to go to the E.R. Got a $200+ hospital bill for it too. I know I've told this story on this forum a couple times. :P Instead cups may be great for other ladies, but it's just not the right product for me and you, IMO. First of all, I don't like products that I have to insert (which is why I don't use tampons). Also, I believe I have a tilted uterus or something (Sex is always painful for me at first entry, and I always have to tell the guy to be easy at first).

Yes, that was me. I don't like products I have to insert either. Indtead cups weren't for me because you have to go digging way deep in there. I have short, child like fingers and couldn't reach it. It grosses me out to go spelunking in there, especially during period time when it's already sensitive down there and prone to pain. When you go to the gyno you can ask her if you have a tilted uterus. Doggy style position or a pillow under the hips can help if you have a tilted uterus. It will hurt me too if I'm laying flat and the guy isn't at the right angle.

Yup, that's just too much work (and sweating) to have to remove a feminine product. Fuck that. I keep it old-school, and just use pads.

Doggystyle is my favorite sexual position, because it feels way better than any other position for me. With other positions, it's a pain in the ass when the guy keeps slipping out...then I've gotta deal with the discomfort of him reentering, only to slip out again. Sex should not be like this. Doggystyle is absolutely my #1 fave. Lol.

Except for headaches, I don't have PMS or any emotional or physical symptoms BEFORE my period. It's only during my period I feel like crap, and even then it's only during the "Peak" of my period. My periods last about 5 days and the peak hits me about the 3rd day and by day 5 is gone. On the peak days I have a migraine, I gain about 5 pounds, I have headache and back aches. Everything I read online says unpleasant symptoms are before, but once your period starts they go away, except for cramping.
Anyone else like this? I don't really have PMS just severe symptoms for 2 days during the period.

Fun fact: to delay your period, two cups of spearmint tea a day for a couple day will delay it or reduce it to just spotting at first. I tried spearmint tea last month for the first time consistently and immediately my period which is super clockwork was delayed by five days with only spotting for two days before it really started.

I forgot the compound in spearmint that acts to reduce testosterone and FSH.

Usually I'm just really tired and feeling blah the first day or 2, but this is the 3rd day and I feel like I've been run over by a truck. Been super emotional too. Like it's a rebirth of everything.....I just want to sleep and sleep and do nothing else. I had to call into work 2 days in a row over this shit. Worst period I've had in a long ass time. Could just be the timing of everything, all the stress. Or the blood moon, or both!

Anyone else on their period right now? Enjoy your slayer powers! lol. Women rule. We are truly connected to the moon. It's painful but cool as shit at the same time. Ah, the joys of being a woman!
