Anyone know anything about this site? http://www.camsoda.com/

I saw an ad for it. It looks similar to chaturbate functionality-wise, but it appears to have different models. It looks very low traffic (26 models and 47 customers at 1:47am pst).

Payout info: http://wiki.camsoda.com/index.php?title=Model_Payment_Information

Interesting notes:

apparently PayPal is one of the payout methods
increased payouts for grand opening (http://wiki.camsoda.com/index.php?title=Grand_Opening_Limited_Time_Only)
token system with payouts between 50-65% based on which token package the custie buys (similar to MFC, CB, Cam4)
custies get 100 free tokens on signup

Besides what others have noted, all I know is that HussieModels (featured in the Netflix documentary, Hot Girls Wanted) put their girls and couples on that site. They have a cam house and have a camera in basically every single room and broadcast it on camsoda. I can't imagine them making a lot of money off the site, the traffic is sooo low. It only takes a couple big spenders to make someone's night, but still the highest number of viewers looking at a girl's cam is less than 100 viewers. I'd avoid the site, especially since they are attempting to use paypal.

Well, they are in the same building as Reality Kings, but say RK doesn't own them. But one of Reality Kings contract models Molly Cavalli is promoting them like crazy & trying to sign up girls... HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM plus they have a few porn stars who normally do NOT cam, but when they did for Naked which is owned by Bang Bros, those same porn girls cammed on it. Bet NOT for tips but for hourly pay.

Now when i take into consideration when I first shot for Bang bros & reality kings, the same person wrote out the checks... Hmmmmmmm

I'm signing up as a model for ChatStar (a texting site) right now, and it looks like on the members' side of signing up, it gives members the option to "Redeem FREE tokens on CamSoda.com."

I see a lot of porn stars tweeting about camming on there. They have to be getting paid bc the site has no traffic and not many models.

Not sure if they offer an actual health insurance plan. I think it's more like if you earn over a certain amount (like $3000) they'll give you an extra $150 bonus and call it health insurance benefits.

I see on a job board that they pay some models a hourly wage....

I was offered an hourly wage to cam on there, It was way below what I normally make so I respectfully declined.

Weekly pay + hourly wage sounds great, but there's no "paid chat only" mode. I like sites where free video chat isn't mandatory.

Has anyone gotten paid from this site? I started camming on there & was wondering how long checks take to arrive? Also, yes they offer paypal as an option but paypal sucks in general for adult work. They have paxum as an option.

If you're allowed to split this site & they're still doing hourly, the bonus may make it worth it.

I'm attempting to get approved for hourly. I haven't cammed actively in over a year though. I had my second child last year and haven't had the time. My partner lost his job today though, so we definitely need any money we can get.

Same here - it's a really new site and literally some girls just sit around getting tipped. I have done okay - it's my second income besides niteflirt. I should be paid for the first time this Thursday - will let you know if its worth it.

I probably should've worded my comment better. I've never used the site; I was just stating that if those things are possible, it'd probably be worth it. I mean I'd happily put 25hrs a week in on a site that I can split with my regular sites for $30 an hour + 90% tips even if there's minimal traffic.

I heard they were no longer doing hourly pay. Instead they said they were offering 90% which was a better incentive.

This has been in my bookmarks for weeks http://www.camsoda.com/models glad I found the thread on it

I'm used to an hourly wage as well, perhaps I shouldn't commit if they're not offering that anymore... I've tried a low traffic site in the past and it only gave me trouble.

This site is interesting and one to watch because they are first camsite to offer 360 degree livestream every Wednesday. This means guys with virtual reality glasses like the Oculus Rift, Samsung Gear, HTC Vive and all the other cardboard/phone combinations will be able to experience virtual reality. I don't think they have a very high SEO budget right now but they could just be waiting until they make a big push with their webmasters. I would wait until that happens.

Indeed, I tried this site when they had the hourly. Nothing to be unexpected here, the site is really dead. I had very little traffic and very little tips. It is surely best assumed as bring your own traffic. The traffic that did tip me said they were referred by some other model but she wasn't online at that time so they were lurking around, haha. Now that the hourly is gone, I would surely wait to see if things pick up. At this time, in my experience, it's a waste. I quit after the hourly was removed.

So, I applied to Camsoda the other day because a well known model on MFC started camming on there for a couple hours a week.

I heard back from them within 8 hours and this was their email to me:

"Hi [name],
Thank you for signing up to CamSoda. We are a new site and growing quickly, we have limited space for new models. Please send us your social media handles (twitter, instagram, snapchat etc...) and number of followers.
Please also provide any additional information about yourself and why you would be a good fit on CamSoda; pictures, cam experience, etc...
We look forward to your reply,
Thank you,
CamSoda Compliance "

Is it just me, or does this e-mail leave a bad taste in your mouth?

I signed up for them and got approved, but they said I couldn't broadcast yet. This was their email to me:

While we can't have you go live just yet, you have been successfully enrolled to CamSoda. There is nothing more important to us then our models having an amazing experience with CamSoda. In order to ensure this we can not allow more models to go live at this time due to our current level of traffic. Please do not broadcast until we contact you.

We are growing daily and as soon as we can set your account to go live we will notify you. We are always open to feedback from our models and are available to you 24/7. You are our first priority.

Thank you,
CamSoda Compliance

This was a couple weeks ago and I've heard nothing since then. They shouldn't accept new models if they're not letting them broadcast.

OctaviaSky
03-08-2016, 07:09 PM
Exactly. They should put 'Currently Not Hiring. Check Back Later' on the model application page.

From what I can tell, there is not a lot of traffic on that website, and I think it's kind of weird one of their payments is Paypal. Doesn't Paypal have a rule about sex workers being paid through them?

Sally Says

The site basically died when they stopped giving out hourly payments, which is what attracted girls there to start with.

03-09-2016, 06:10 AM
Sounds to me like they are screening for a certain look and for girls who already have a customer base. We all know that is the fastest way to fail city. I don't know why they never learn. The sites that do the least in terms of screening happen to be the top sites. Duh. Top girls don't want to give their hard earned customer base to an empty site.

It is a marketing ploy to seem like they are more exclusive & thus we will WANT to cam there. lol

Since they deny it but are the same people who did Naked. Those guys have it in their heads that only hot young perfect bodies can make money in camming. They totally forget about the hustle factor. They do have the resources to send their traffic from Reality Kings & Bang Bros which essentially is Mind Geek now, which they will also deny.

Mind Geek owns 80% of the tubesites out there. I would assume all the shows will end up all over those tube sites in the future.

Read that contract carefully.

Hmmm, I don't think it is my looks that are the reason I can't start broadcasting. I have a look that is pretty universally appealing (not to sound conceited or anything)-I'm blonde, white, no tattoos, I'm 37 but look much younger (guys usually guess me in my early to mid 20's), big boobs, height/weight proportionate-not skinny but not BBW either. I do well camming, but I'm not a top row girl on MFC or SM by any means, I don't have a huge following with tons of Twitter followers or anything, I'm not sure if that is what they're looking for.

They should be accepting of all women though. I've done camming and working in strip clubs and they are totally different. There are lots of women who would never get hired at most strip clubs who are top row MFC and SM girls and very successful at camming. For example, a girl who is heavily tattooed and has blue or pink hair wouldn't get hired at a lot of strip clubs, even if she is hot. Strip clubs have a narrower view of beauty and what is appealing to men than camming. There are women of all races, body types, and hair colors and looks who do well. It's all about your personality and hustle.

In any event, CamSoda should be upfront if they're only looking for camgirls right now with a certain look or with a huge following.

I always thought it kinda sucks when any sort of job listing inquires about the number of followers a person has. I realize that they probably want people who have a large number of "friends"/followers, because they assume it means that person is a real social butterfly and super popular...when, in reality, some of the people with thousands of followers are rarely even active on their social media accounts, and a lot of those friends/followers are people who couldn't care less about their newest FB/Twitter posts. Lol. But there's that ILLUSION of them being the popular social butterfly...since they have thousands of "friends"/followers. :P

Anyway, yeah, it does sound like CamSoda is one of those cam sites that want models who already have a following, and they probably wouldn't be interested in any first-time cam girls (not saying that's what you are...I'm just speaking in general).

I don't think there is much to deny, but if you do a little bit of online research its easy to figure out.

Mindgeek does own Realitykings but not Bangbros.
Naked has no affiliation with CamSoda.
Mindgeek does not own 80% of the tubes, they even sold a few tubes this year to other companies.

They want girls with high follower count on their social media because they think that they can piggyback off the models followers for social media exposer & promoting. Which is funny because it's so painfully obvious when an account has bought and/or fake followers.

I've been working on camsoda for 2 months and they did they same thing to me at first then I sent them my fb and IG and they accepted me. I guess theyre just really not trying to accept too many girls HOWEVER , if a popularish girl applys they'd accept them because they'd bring there followers with them to the site more followers equals more token buying equals more money . Get it or I sound dumb lol ? It's not a site like the rest I've seen chartubate etc. it doesn't have hundreds and hundreds of girls and it's REALLLLLLLY freaking easy to make money compared to chartubate which I've worked on.

CamSoda sounds kind like the European webcam site called Seventeenlive.com. Frankly, you have tons of girls who are modelesque and below a size 8 on Seventeenlive. In addition, you will only see two black models, one Asian, and two Latinas. However, they look like fashion models and are between a size 0 to 6. By the way, anyone over a size 8 would be placed in the "Fat" category :( CamSoda seems to cater to a certain demography and want the most popular yet most hottest girls around :)

The Really Freaking easy part is so correct! It is a hit or miss as you either have traffic or don't no in betweens. I think I started in April when they approved my application they tried to say, we do not want you to broadcasting right now as we do not have enough traffic for everyone. Wait until we send you the email to start so I waited and I kept looking at the site thinking I'm just going to start and so I did. The custies flocked to my room and was thrilled with my teasing and dancing (perfect since I do not do penetration). It does Sucks that they prefer to have ladies with a following rather than invest in more traffic. They are not my main site sometimes they are in the background and I forget and I still make a great amount the weekly pay is a plus to!

Because they either have adult film stars or Exotic Dancers with thick / curvy bodies who brings in a lot of traffic. Most of the custies are in rooms similar to the ladies who brought them in. I think if my body type was different , and maybe (I did not twerk lol ) I would be speaking a whole different tune.
