I dont understand why shops wouldnt accept it! You just swipe the magnetic strip or the chip into the machine. There is nothing special required from their end they just swipe and then you enter your code or sign for it just like any mastercard. Why would a shop not be able to do that? Its just a Mastercard.

Mine doesn't have a PIN and that's where the problem lies. The swipe and sign thing isn't common in the UK.

How old is your card? A couple years back they released them with the chip in them so you just need your pin. Contact them and tell them to send you a new card and it will have it.

For years my card was in a drawer So I never had a need to even touch my card when it came to using payoneer. Now because of them not offering global bank transfer.
I've moved my card into a spot in my wallet and now will have to wait and see how well it works out using it to collect payments from streamate and cams and reset my PIN.
The more I think about it maybe I will go back to check in the mail at least I knew how it works with cashing them at money mart.

Yeah we only use chip and pin over here, swipe cards are considered ancient and associated with thise cards you have if you're in really bad debt and cant get a normal babk card lol. I'm embarassed every time i'm forced to use it. Payo came out with a chipped version but you can't get it if you already have the old one.

I only use the payoneer card and every Friday SM deposits the money at 5pm GMT+1 like clockwork and then I just transfer it all or in part to my card and I can withdraw it at any bank machine or use it in any shops that take Mastercard. I actually like it.
At least in the UK you dont even have to pay the extra bank machine fees for that you can just go to a bank machine and withdraw all the cash at once and you will only pay the payoneer fee.

We have atm fees too. So first there is the hassle of it being on the card and paying the fee to get it there, then we lose out massively as the $ is so much less than the £, THEN we pay stupid fees to withdraw it AND the stupid maintenance fee.

What I had done in the past is go get a money order at a grocery for under $1 charge and then deposit it to my bank. Will at least save you the ATM fee and the cash withdrawal fee which can total from 6 to 10 bucks.
Edited to add - be sure you know your Payoneer pin # because I needed to put it in to buy the money order, just swiped my card, put the pin in then bought the money order. I always allow a few bucks for that 2% cross border fee so if I have 100 on the card I get out 95 on the money order.

It's like a check but you buy it with cash. I assumed they were used outside the USA also.
They are often used by those who don't have a bank account or also for transactions with strangers where they won't want to accept a check that might bounce but will accept a money order because it can't bounce and without the risk of carrying cash.
My grocery charges 85 cents for it and that way I avoid the $3 Payoneer cash advance fee and also the ATM fees. They still charge me the cross border fee because my card was issued by Camcontacts which is based in Belize. Wish I had known that before, would have gotten my card issued from MFC.

This. They having to go deposit the money in my bank so that my bills get paid! Such a hassle!

this is really bizarre. even though I'm not in Canada anymore I still have my CA bank account tied to payoneer. one of my side sites paid me today and I received the usual payoneer message "site has transferred a payment to your bank account ending in XXXX".
checked my email and spam and def no notice from payoneer either regarding any CA GBT issues.
anyone else who has Global Bank Transfer tied to a CA bank account still able to use it?

We don't have money orders here just chip and pin cards and cash. You can't pay in shops with cheques and no one uses swipe cards anymore. I'm not sure whether that makes us advanced, or behind. Either way getting any kind of payment from the US is a royal pain in the ass!

OK seems I was using the wrong terminology for UK folks. Looks like it's called a postal order?

I deposit my money order right to my bank and it credits in 1 to 2 days.
but either way you are right it's a royal pain! I really don't like having to get a money order for Payoneer here either, just an extra step that is aggravating and time consuming, but not wanting to lose 8 to 10 bucks getting $ off the card.

Finally got an email from payoneer support 4 days later telling me that I had emailed them from a different email address then the one I registered with. Emailed them back from the right email address.....can't wait to see what the next hoop that they will force me to jump through to get the answer to where my money is.....which will probably take them another four days to get back to me and tell me about.

They might have reversed the "grandfathering" for some of the older clients. We were told that GBT wasn't directly available when we made our corporate account last year because we were from the U.S., but sites that had been around longer than us (other U.S. sites) had this feature. There is an easy-ish workaround we found for our own non-US models, so it isn't a real impediment to our business any more.
Ooooh...can you tell me what the workaround is? Because I just had a MASSIVE issue today with the ATM cash out and then deposit into normal bank thing, and I need another way to get $ off my Payoneer, ideally straight into my bank account.
Because if you drill down and do the math on your ATM withdrawals, you discover that Payoneer hides a % charge AND a shit exchange rate. My most recent estimate is that it is about 0.10 worse than the shittiest exchange rate from a bank. So...yeah. Why is getting paid internationally such a fucking pain? Free trade, but only for massive businesses in "good" industries, I suppose.

Weirdly, iTunes will not accept the Payoneer card, it is the only online shopping place that has refused it. Some ATMs in Canada won't let me take cash out on it.

I always use my Payoneer card at Asda and ask for cashback.
That way I don't have to pay the atm fees.

When I get payments under £400 into Payoneer I usually just buy a Tesco or Asda giftcard online and just use that for foodshopping.
Saves me from the fees and swip hassle.

I am From Philippines and i receive the same mail from payoneer last january 25 and i have 2 pending payments from ICF who was date January 22 and 29... i reply on there email twice but same answer i request to have a Prepaid payoneer card but still no reply.....so i try to talk someone at live chat but she seems don't know what happening cause she told me i need to contact Icf and ask them to issue you a card..

I just signed up with streammate a couple of weeks ago. I picked the check option. I was looking into the payoneer mastercard. If im reading this correctly. They charge for every single transaction? Im from the U.S btw.

you can get direct deposit with payo and sm. im in the uk and thats what i get. They pay the oney into my payo account and then payo automatically transfers it to my proper account, which takes 3 working days

Just checked in my account & my transfers for the week are all "pending" I usually have my money by now. This really sucks.
I finally got my SM payment and loaded it on to my card. I hope that doesn't happen again,
Did you have to contact SM to have your Payee ID # changed? This is going to be my last payment from SM cuz I've been saying fuck you to them for awhile with all theissues it's not worth it to keep working on there. Now I'm thinking I won't be getting this money anytime soon. Every time I call or chat with payoneer they tell me to re-register for the card, like really? I already have a card and separate account for the GBT what kind of company keeps making customers add more and more accounts? It's so dumb. They should be able to link them. Calling again today.

No. All my pay say "pending manual provider" when I go into the view transfers section on the website. I am hoping they are able to give me 1 account for everything instead of 3 separate accounts because that is crazy and too much to deal with. Ladies: The person I spoke to in CS said they will not respond if you use profanities. Big indicator to me they are having a lot of (rightfully) pissed off customers!

I'm trying to take things into my own hands now since they are incompetent AF Hoping to get in touch with a manager or somebody higher up today

We did get an email notice from them saying we can't pay China and India any more, but it wasn't really pertinent because we don't have any models there (if that's relevant).

Every payment is subject to manual review; a few factors play into this. It is quite normal but if there is a technical issue, we'll also see if that could be an issue for the payment and address it. I see our status as payment complete. Can you show me a screenshot of this message? I may need to forward to our bank transfer department to review and resolve if there is an issue. "
So now I'm wondering if this long wait is going to become a regular thing or if they are going to do another mass email alert saying that they wont do it at all due to technical difficulties. Or these pending statuses are just us. Why haven't these payoneer workers in CS seen & heard about this issue all day and weeks long? Why did they need a screenshot like it was the 1st time they heard of it? I have 2 reference #s now and something better fucking get done fast.

These are good questions.
All I can tell you about my situation is that they sent me an email telling me that my payment was being transferred and that a confirmation email would be sent to me when it happened and that I never got the second message.
Two days after that they sent me an email to tell me that they aren't doing global transfer anymore. I emailed them to try and change my payment information and four days later they sent me an email telling me that since I didn't email them from the email I signed up with that I had to email them back again from that account. I sent them an email immediately afterward from the email account they requested leaving all the original email thread on it. (I have an email account that lets you use several alias accounts and it all goes to the same inbox so it was easy enough to just send it back to them using the right email address and keeping the original message.)
So, technically I am still at the point where I am just trying to change my payment method like they originally asked me when they said they were no longer offering global transfer and I still haven't even gotten to that point yet let alone to the point where I can ask where my money is. :/

I have switched all my payment methods on every site now until I get it sorted out with payoneer, if I even decide to deal with them at all after this mess. I've been calling them, I've been on the live chat, I've sent emails, I've sent complaints and posted on their forums.
I wish they could explain it better because nobody seems to know. I was told on the phone I need to check if my bank allows USD transfers. Which it does for a fee. But now I'm thinking they mean that your bank account needs to be a "US Account" as in it only deals with USD? I still need clarification. They aren't even able to see anything, they can't see what your bank's address is that they are sending funds to, and I can't see it. That could be the potential issue. Sometimes you need to punch in different swift code. Then I was told I need to send them a void cheque. Has anybody done this before? I find that ridiculous for a company to ask for that... I feel like I should work there when I speak to these people they seem to know nothing at all. I've spoken with so many CSRs now I'm not confident I will get this money ever. I spoke to a case manager and everything. I don't know how to go higher up than that as they say "we will get it resolved" (but not in a timely manner.) On their sweet time.
It seems to me that the ONLY resolution is sign up for a completely new account with their card from whatever back office you want payments from. Because GBT (fees aside) is not worth waiting over a week or 2 weeks, or more to get your money. Pretty lame you can't get both services put into 1 account IMHO. Also pretty lame they knew they were going to be making this change but didn't test it out on an account beforehand to be sure it worked??? It's not just us because people have posted on their forums about this issue. I was going to call my bank about it, but when the CSR told me yesterday that is a common payoneer practice the issue is clearly on their end. Or I would've received the 2nd email like always.
