I watched coco. I like kids movie.

I loved it! It's so well done. They even got the young matriarch's look in the picture with Coco and her husband correct. If you look at pictures of Mexican/Mexican-American women, you see this proud, defiant attitude. I see it when the women of my family are serious.

I see lots of Mexican culture in it. Family first, do you guys really put the deceased family members' picture on display?

We have pictures of deceased family members, but not on display like the movie. I know about Dia de los Muertos/Day of the Dead/All Saints Day. It's the day after Halloween. But nobody I know celebrated like in the movie. What a lot of people do is go to the cemetery and put flowers of loved ones graves. But I live in South Texas and I'm at least 5 generations removed from Mexico.

To answer this question, yes Mexicans display photos of loved ones who have passed on. Often on altars in the house, in a foyer, or at a grave site.

I loved the movie Coco. I was all like, OMG it's Pedro Enfante!!! (His "katrina" has an important role in the film.)

Orange is the new black season 6.

I was hooked on it the first couple seasons, but I'm not as into it anymore. I'm still going to watch it, but I think I'll spread it out instead of binge watching it in a couple days like I used to.

Ugly Delicious was cool to watch on netflix if you're into food and culture! I watched the first season of Sense 8, couldn't hold my attention though, it was kind of all over the place lol. I got so confused. If you're a hulu person, i got HOOKED on The Handmaids Tale, don't binge watch it (or do?) unless u wanna be super depressed and crawl into a hole.

same! The plot got kind of CRAZY. What i did binge watch in 2 sessions was GLOW, it was one of those shows that got even better the second time around and reluctantly got me realllly into 80s music.

Watched this the other night.
Hmm. Didn't really like it. Too long, or something. Has anyone else seen it?
But, Charlize never fails to get me wet.

I am watching Rome Empire season 2. A bit surprised that the Netflix series goes reverse time order for season 2.
The first season is about the story of commodus which marked the fall of the Rome empire. The second season went back to talk about Caesar who ended Rome republic and started Rome Empire. Rome empire has 1500 years history. Learned all these from the history channel. :)

Ok, I just finished watching Dark Places. I've gotta say I almost turned the movie off at the beginning. The main character initially came off as greedy and uncaring(the income situation). There were all kinds of interesting/weird people in here. A lot of really sad, dark stuff too that I think the movie could've done without. I have a kid movie on now.

But overall, did you like it?
Idk, maybe I thought it was too long because I had just come from a week where I had to cam a lot due to a contest.
Like, the movie was more active listening I had to do, or something.

If you have Hulu, you can give "11.22.63" a try.

https://static.next-episode.net/tv-shows-images/huge/11.22.63.jpg

James Franco plays the role of Jake Epping, an ordinary high school teacher, who is presented with a chance to change history. When a longtime friend (Chris Cooper) shows Jake how to travel back in time, he tasks Jake with a mission he has been trying in vain to complete: stopping the assassination of John F. Kennedy on Nov. 22, 1963, and solving one of the biggest mysteries of the 20th century. Jake quickly learns that the past does not want to be changed, and that his attempts to divert the course of history can quickly turn dangerous.

I'm so glad season 8 of Shameless is out on Netflix.

I might try season 1 of " Mom ". I saw a couple on a plane and it was brainless and funny . I think earlier one of the lead characters was a dancer.

Yes, I watched it. I’m on the spectrum myself and I don’t act like that.

It’s just like hollywood stereotypes strippers as being addicts and dumb. I have yet to see a movie about a dancer that uses dancing to turn her life around...lol.

I just watched Nappy ever after. I’m a sucker for a feel good movie.

I got caught up on "Longmire" on Netflix. The show actually got better in some ways after they moved off of a Network.

"Longmire" is about a giant teddy bear of a man who is also a Sheriff in the Happiest place on earth....Wyoming.
