"Amanda Knox" documentary.
Wasn't interested while it was happening back in 2007.
Wanted to know what all of the fuss was about.
Has anyone else watched it?
I liked it.

I followed her case back in the day.
Here's an UNPLEASANT truth about some European nations- they have policing and courts that work differently than the United States. A LOT of students and visitors don't know this.
Also other cultures don't have a high tolerance for people who die by misadventure while away from their home nation......IMO I think the police in Knox's case were in a hurry to close the case and railroaded her. There's a lot of funny terms for cases that police hate dealing with....Basically the case was a mess and they just wanted it to be done with....
Knox might have been a bit weird but she didn't seem like a killer. The other suspects were far more plausible. I feel terrible for the victim but unfortunately, that is how life is. Terrible things happen and we have to deal with them....

Thanks. But I'm not that invested in this story. I see that she's getting married and started a GoFundMe me page, which she disputes. Good luck. I can't even get $200 from anyone from the GoFundMe me page I started. Maybe if I murdered someone.::)

Thank You for your input.
I left a message for on of my gay husbands who just moved to Italy a few months ago.
I asked if anyone there brought it up when they find out he's from the US.
The girl who got murdered was so incredibly beautiful.
Such a waste.
Men are never to be trusted.

I have a lot of relatives in Latin America & unfortunately when I go to visit them I can see how people get murdered over small amounts of money or nice jewelry, a nice car....OR for rejecting a sexual advance...
I hate using this phrase but in a violent robbery- "The cruelty IS the point." People like that get a bigger thrill out of forcing someone to submit to their will versus taking an object or cash.
Side note- the Natalie Holloway case was a mixed blessing in that it showed people that you might be perfectly innocent/unsuspecting....& You might run into a murderer who has been looking for a ideal target and will settle on you. A LOT of teens and young adults on trips and vacations get talked to about check-ins and safety precautions. You have to make them listen!!!!!

I re-watched Martin Scorsese's "Mean Streets" and really enjoyed it.
It's an improv style movie about 1970s NYC. Beware if you watch this movie ….NYC in that era was- rude, crude, definitely NOT politically correct and "getting in someone's face" had consequences. (It used to be called "giving someone lip.")
It was a different era, definitely.

51699 Watched this last night. It was good. *I was distracted by how horrible Arquette looked. I noticed in the credits that she was one of the producers too. Hmm.
Angela Basset's body is beyond the beyond.
Felicity is a bit too scrawny for my taste, but okay.

The Arquette family has had an interesting trip through the movie business.
Next on my Netflix- the new eps of "MindHunter."

I watched this last night. St Agatha. It's the most terrifying, most gruesome movie I've ever seen in my life.
I watched it with all of the lights off.
I loved it.
*Growing up Catholic, it hit a lot of nerves.
Definitely worth the nightmares it gave me.51755

The 2nd season of "Mindhunter" is unintentionally topical and relevant...the points being-
* social class issues can affect whether cases get resolved or not
* political issues can result in miscarriages of justice
* media and the desire for fame/infamy can affect how and who a violent killer will target
I don't want to spoil the season so I won't say more. I will say Season 2 is way more un nerving than Season 1, if that was at all possible....They made it harrowing. On so many different levels. The sub plots also circle back to the main plots.

By the way Netflix is getting a little pricey.

Echo In The Canyon...….
This really lifted my spirits. It's about the folk music/pop music mix that led to the cultural tidal wave that produced a LOT of the American pop music of the late 1960s, 1970s and beyond.
Slightly comic- Jakob Dylan hosts the documentary, so it's slightly amusing to have him hosting this whole thing (his dad is American music legend Bob Dylan)
It's a completely happy take on Southern California and music, which is in short supply these days.
