Anyone have a fake eyelash suggestion or two?
I love Ardell Dura Lash Individual Naturals Short. They also carry a glue that happens to be black so there is no waiting time to make that white glue disappear. Genius! :)

As a former Makeup artist and Aesthetician, my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION is to use PRIMER! On your whole face! Eyes, lips, face, neck, everything! It will help your makeup stick around for 8-12 hours! Also, moisturize with a non-SPF day cream AND SERUM before applying primer and makeup!
I recommend (I only use cruelty-free products so those are the only ones I can recommend):
Tarte Clean Slate Primer - All Skin Types
Arbonne Makeup Primer - All Skin Types
Benefit The POREfessional Primer - Oily skin or if you sweat easily
In regards to foundation (also cruelty free):
Tarte Amazonian Clay - All Skin Types
Urban Decay Naked Skin - Oily or Normal Skin
Arbonne Foundation (Liquid, Mineral Powder or CC Cream) - All Skin Types
Go to Ulta or Sephora and they will give you a great sized sample of Tarte, Benefit or Urban Decay products mentioned above. I can typically squeeze 7 applications out of one sample. The Arbonne products are only available online and you can't get samples, but they do have a 45 day money back guarantee, even if you use the whole product! Here's a link to the website to shop via the Consultant I use: https://goo.gl/NRVFJo
Hope that helps!

Just so you know, Benefit is not cruelty free. I hated giving up the POREfessional when I went cruelty free, but I have rabbits and can't stand the thought of testing makeup on animals.

Oh shit, are you serious?!? They are on my cruelty free list! I heard though that they are owned by a company that is NOT cruelty free but their products themselves are.
Good to know! Thanks for the info! I haven't used Benefit for about a year (my current primer is the Tarte one) so at least I don't have anything to throw away!

I made two lists, of what I do use and recommend, one of cheap pharmacy stuff and one of expensive/sephora stuff:
Cheap Stuff:
- Maybelline "Fit me" Foundation (Awesome for oily skin like mine, and it's matte)
- Rimmel Stay Matte Mousse Foundation (Also great for oily skin)
- Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
- Baby Skin Primer from Maybelline
- L'oreal Paris Voluminous False Fiber Lashes (Makes REALLY look like I'm wearing fake lashes, and my natural lashes are blonde and very small, so I love it!)
Expensive Stuff:
- Mac Studio Fix Powder (Great for mattifying)
- Mat Velvet Foundation - Make Up Forever
- Nake Basics Palette - Urban Decay (Create Awesome looks)
- Ever Matte Poreless Priming Perfector - Becca
Hope this helps xxx

I have been using this mascara for 6 years. I love how black and long it makes my lashes. it does crumble into your eyes after 4-6hrs, but I can't find a comparable product under $25 as far a volume, length, and overall appearance.

I like the Loreal Butterfly mascara. It also crumbles under your eyes but really makes my lashes look thick.

I LOVE l'oreal mascaras! Even more than MAC. And the good thing is that they are not pricey at all. I also love covergirl. It's really hard to find good mascaras since my lashes are very small and blonde, so when I do find a good one, I gotta stick with it lol

A good primer and placement of concealer can help very easily. Also, are you cleaning your brushes and applicators often? That makes a difference as well.
The best primers I have used on myself and clients have been the e.l.f. color correcting primers. They color correct and prime all at once, and I can see a difference between using and not using.
For contouring, I prefer cream over powder, you photograph better and it blends better with the face.
I'm always looking for a less expensive dupe of something even though sometimes, it's best to spend a little money on certain things. My absolute fave eyeshadow primer is by Urban Decay, absolutely love it!

Recently, I've been trying to up my makeup game & have had terribly mixed results. There's such a large variety of products in a vast price range & buying something that doesn't hold up on cam kind of sucks (especially when you drop $50 on a product that melts off your face within an hour). Most of us wear at least some makeup products on cam & I imagine I'm not alone when it comes to this struggle. I mean, who likes reapplying makeup every couples hours when they should really only have to once?! I know there are favorite product threads already, but that's not exactly what I'd like this thread to be about.
What I'd love to know is this: Which makeup products do you use that ACTUALLY hold up on cam?
Know of a dildo sucking transfer proof lip tint? Name it! A foundation that doesn't melt off after hours of wear under hot cam lights? Share it! A setting spray that actually keeps your makeup matte for 4+hrs? Do tell! Eye shadow that doesn't get creased after long hours of wear? Tell the world! If you feel like adding a link to it, even better!
Happy Camming!
Urban Decay All-nighter setting spray. Not only does it keep makeup from sweating off and smudging but the shit lasts for days lol (obviously not ideal for your skin to not remove makeup daily, but if necessary it will keep your makeup in place for a long time)

If you are a sweaty bitch, like me. Set with straight cornstarch. I don't trust baby powder anymore with cancer scares. Yes it's linked with ovarian cancer, but if it's not good for your cooch, it probably isn't good for your face near your other orifeces.
I used to set my theater makeup with it.
Also, Hard Candy's Conceal & Correct Palette is equivalent to Urban Decay's Color Correcting Fluid. And is $7

I love TooFaced cosmetics. The Chocolate Bar eyeshadow palette is amazing. It really smells like chocolate too. I also love their mascaras and blushes. Tarte makes a really nice smoothing primer. For eyeliners I love Rimmel, they have some really nice colors and they stay well. Even during long cam shows they stayed put and didnt sweat off. For finishing powder ELF has a yellow HD powder that is amazing. It makes you look flawless on cam.

I just got too faced born this way, oh my goodness, best foundation I've ever used! Looks great, stays on without going patchy, great color, and feels great on my skin. I'd recommend it for sure

One thing that definitely changed my life and I will have to post here it's the "Nars audacious mascara"
It's SOOOOOOO amazing! Seriously!
I got it in the beggining of this year straight after being released and I gotta say it was the best $50 dollars I EVER spent in my life.
I used to struggle to make my lashes show since they are very very light and I don't have many, but after that mascara...I'm posting my picture here wearing it so you guys can see by yourselves

Thanks for this tip. I actually use arrowroot powder as a thickener for my recipes instead of cornstarch, so I tried arrowroot as a translucent powder and wow, it works great! No more oil slick on my face!
If anyone is looking for non-toxic makeup brands that are mostly organic and don't contain carcinogens, PEG etc. Go for Jane Iredale and 100% Pure Cosmetics. For less toxic, Tarte and Vasanti are my faves, they do contain some PEG though.

I have to admit, I'm shocked that this works as well as it does. Lasted a 6hr shift with only one reapplication and i'm super freaking happy about it! Thanks for the tip. :D

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor. Did 8 hours and didn't have to reapply at all. Also if you're on SM dealing with that weird orange red issue. The color Obsession comes out candle apple red on cam. Strange because it's really a hot pink color.
