very unlikely isn't never though, all it takes is a new guy in a certain niche to find us (either on the site or through our external marketing) & want to binge on our older clips - now as a creator we're having to ask ourselves if we push IWC, or a different site where all of our content is there for them to browse

Im just struggling to see the benefit for us, at all

It really is a shame, because every once in a while I'll get an e-mail notification that someone on one of these clip sites has purchased an old-ass video of mine (My crying video, for example, from four years ago). And it always makes me smile knowing that I can still make a few bucks from something I did years ago.

Oh well.

sure hope there won't be a problem if the address shown on the ID is different from my current address.

SAME ! I'm going to be moving for the 3rd time this year and IDs are SO expensive

I don't mean to sound elitist; and maybe I just don't care because I have 1000 mbit internet and uploading all my clips to every site doesn't take much time, but is clips selling not even once in 6-12 months so common that one would seriously be worried about a majority of their content being purged, or this even being a frequent occurence?

Usually if this happens I take the L; I think to myself "well, this one sucked", and I move on. There's nothing wrong with my store-front exclusively having bangers in it. Unless of course you made an absolutely amazing video that never sold, in which case you really need a little more advertising and good trailers/thumbnails, to get across it's amazingness.

So I now have 196 clips being "archived". ALL of which have sold at least once on other sites. I am so pissed off at this site I don't even know if I will bother with it anymore.

I guess if your internet isnt bad and your time isnt limited it's not too big a deal, personally, before moving I had to upload one clip overnight as my upload was 0.8Mb/s - it would take about 3 hours for a 5 min clip to upload and while uploading the internet was unusable for anything else. I know most wont have internet that bad though. That said, my time is incredibly limited as I earn very well on fansite platforms - an hour uploading to clipsites is an hour away from those sites, that said I was trying to restart my clipsites again but I feel a bit like, whats the point if that content might be gone in a year? and outside of that, why would I direct external traffic to a site where all of my content isnt there?

I just went to look out of interest and yeah over 300 of my clips are being archived - I never did amazing on IWC anyway, but its more the messaging behind it really that Im finding bothersome - as if it's some fun event or in anyway in our interest/advantage when its not, whether its about storage space or not its certainly not an advantage for us

Tell me you're running out of money without telling me : archive event.

14 days isn't really enough time to get those clips off, guess I better start ASAP

TWO DAYS NOTICE to upload new documents are you kidding me?

Dear Artists,

Please read the important information below regarding our changes in content review for Mastercard compliance, starting Friday October 15th 2021 (12am Standard Eastern Time).

- You must have a Valid ID uploaded to your account and have signed the New Artist Agreement to upload new content

- Content will no longer post instantly to your iWantClips store page as additional time will be needed to review content prior to publication, in accordance with Mastercard guidelines.

- If your content is set for immediate publishing and not flagged for a Terms of Service Violation, it will be reviewed and posted within a few hours. We will be working to refine this system to allow for quicker publishing times in the near future.

- Any content with additional performers will experience a slightly longer delay in reviewing.

- We will be reviewing newly uploaded content first, and actively reviewing legacy content on the site after.

- Repeated non-compliance violations may result in the permanent closure of your store.

- You will be alerted via email on the status of your clip if a revision is needed or the clip is non-compliant. The clip status and reason will also be on the Sell Items page of your Artist Dashboard.

** Important note: Please continue to upload content as you normally would, as any significant changes (ie: scheduling all content to publish later) will disrupt our ability to review and publish content as planned.

Understanding Content Review Statuses

In Review: Your content has been submitted and is in process of being reviewed

Revision: Your content requires changes be made before it can be resubmitted for review. You will be notified of the required revision via email and on the Sell Items page of your Artist Dashboard.

Rejected: Your content contains elements that cannot be published on iWantClips. You will be notified of the compliance violation via email and on the Sell Items page of your Artist Dashboard.

Publish: Your content has been approved and has been published to your store.

As we navigate the new Mastercard compliance regulations together, we will be continuously refining this process. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us anytime by responding to this email or reaching out directly at [email protected]

We greatly appreciate your cooperation and understanding while managing the new Mastercard compliance regulations.

Thank you so much for being a valued Artist on IWC!

Now we know why they got rid of all that content on our stores, they're gonna be reviewing all our legacy content and wanted less content to have to go through.

SFHS

How many of you have barely any clips in their store because they're all in review? A week ago I had nearly 900 clips in my store, currently I have 7. Complete idiocy by this site.

MissAdriana
10-15-2021, 07:39 AM
I still have a lot of clips but most of my money is made from PTV messages and customs. Now we can't attach files to our ptv msgs so there goes my earnings down the toilet. Fingers crossed they bring it back quickly. I really hope they actually tell us what exactly rule violations are in the clips so we can go in and just edit a sentence out or whatever, still... it's going to be more work for less money and then changing the rules every week and too many violations we get banned? I hope they dont dish out the strikes like hot cakes, it's really hard to keep up with this stuff. Like our legacy content probably has a rule violation in it with how strict they are now. I'm hoping my channel isnt just deleted now because of that.

Like for example it's pretty ridiculous we can't even TALK about intoxication now and Im pretty sure I have some old clips talking about binge drinking

Yeh, I'm pissed TOO.

Ok, fine, I never made money from this site. I sold maybe 4 clips in 2-3 years & I got maybe 2 calls, but that's probably b/c guys NEVER SAW my store.

So I wrote them & told them & get this...

They tell me I should create a banner so they can put it on their site & advertise my store.

Well why the FUCK didn't they tell us that before???? (I don't know if you have to pay for it)

Why remove ALL of our content & blame us when you never even told us this was an OPTION.

I don't make a lot of content, & I'm not going to work my ass off to give them something different then what I already had there which wasn't great, but it wasn't bad bad either.

They didn't even have an explanation as to WHY they never told us (maybe you guys knew) that we could use a banner to bring attention to our store. SMH

They should have told us to use a banner & if after 1-2 months we STILL weren't selling, ok, THEN remove it.

That's odd, mine was verified in less than 10 hours. Did you verify via the email that is sent after you upload your ID and sign?

AlyssaJ
10-15-2021, 11:58 AM
My ID took a couple days to verify. But what does that help when there is barely anything in my store now, most of it in review. "We prioritize new content to be reviewed and legacy content after." And how long will that take? Clips I uploaded a days ago are still not up. "Repeated non-compliance violations may result in the permanent closure of your store." Ok, considering the rules are ridiculously strictly applied and a bunch of my clips were taken down last week for minor things, now I will be banned for sure. I do executrix content mostly and there is barely anything left allowed to do or say within that context.

Might be worth taking down any content you know is now against the rules if you want to keep your store and content. Might speed up the process as well, but I doubt it.

I thought this review would be done in a month or so over the course of months not all at once. There's no need for content to be hidden to review it.

it is really weird its being done now tbh - these new terms where announced by MasterCard in April - would have made more sense to do it slowly from april to october and then no need to hide the content either?

Ive just realised my entire store is inactive cause I dont have 5 clips live lol

I agree. I took down all content that might be problematic last week. I uploaded most of my model releases and ids. But will say they are reviewing all content including Mp3s, and ebooks as well. It took them 30 minutes to review one of my ebooks.

Whereas every other site (so it feels) had this figured out months, or at least weeks ago, all content is now under review and new content can't be uploaded without a valid ID on file. Wish they had better prepared for this?

Funny thing is, they already had a valid passport with 9 years of validity remaining on file for me, I completed their Rightsignature verificiation when signing up originally. I couldn't have otherwise. Yesterday I uploaded one when prompted to, which was then confirmed; today verification was removed and I had to do it yet again. Then yet again for a sub-store of mine.

Part of me is really questioning the process they're employing here; why do I need to send them my id again, then again, then again, then again?

Out of my 300plus clips that were live 200 are being deleted & all but 25 are in review. Yesterday there were 24 so at this rate all my content that is left will be archived the next go round without anyone seeing it smh. This site just isn't worth bothering with anymore. Here's the kicker-2 of the clips that were approved were old ones I had even forgot I had that aren't allowed at all with the new rules. There is no point to this at all.

Just uploaded a clip to one of d substores and lets see how long this review take. And one of my substores i cant even upload anything as it says ID expired. While i uploaded ID just on 13th october, and it got approved, but d error came back yesterday and again uploaded yesterday ID, but yesterday's didn't get approved so far. I dont think they want any basic creators to anyway work on their site, as its only the elite group should stay and hence it will cut down all their expenditures and make more profit as anyway they claim that the top 100 make $10k up and more every month

Someone posted on Twitter a screenshot of an email from iwantclips. It's for a video that was rejected for not passing the review. They give timestamps so she can remove the violating content. If they are doing this then it seems like this is why it will take so long..

But they also approved a video of someone in a crowded subway with the other passengers blurred, there's even a small child visible. How did that pass?

One of the clips that didn't pass on iwc did pass review on clips4sale. This makes no sense since they must all have the same rules.

We should, but some niches sell on IWC, for instance, that never sell on MV, so it's frightening.

I think there might be a bug where you can't get verified if you use an artist account that is underneath a studio account? It's nice and good that my studio account considers me as being verified and has my ID verification in it, but the artist account is unverified. A studio account can't even upload by itself.

It has always surprised me that people didn't raise prices by 25% way back when commissions were cut from 80% to eventually 60%. Usually if your percentage decreases, the effort required increases, you just pass the cost on to the consumer. Selling clips for $1 a minute feels like basically nothing at all in this environment. (Which is why I don't). But that's just me venting my feelings.

from what I can gather - Mastercard is used by multiple payment processors - so each processor might have different rules

the fact that passed tho is awful! completely against what the regs even are

also - I saw on Twitter someone posted an email that apparently got sent to customers saying all our clips going into review is a mistake due to the system being used?

I just noticed my store has one item published and clicking to enter it sends me back to the homepage, all other items are in review, almost 400 that haven't been archived. WTF! AlyssaJ

It's not going very fast is it? As for now only a fraction of my clips are live, only one or two more have been approved since this started. Two new clips added 3 days ago are still not up. Absolutely ridiculous, and that they didn't tell us about this beforehand is appalling.

Sure, it's just I thought all my content was within the rules. For example one of my clips was taken down because I am a fantasy super villain in it, with a sword. "No weapons rule" - Defining a fantasy prop as a weapon is a stretch and I really didn't think this would apply to solo clips. As I do executrix/horror type clips I feel there is so little left I can do - and we don't know yet if the banned words list applies to spoken words. There are so many everyday words banned it's impossible to keep track in an improvised dialogue.

Hello everyone and thank you so much for your feedback.

First, we would just like to say thank you as we greatly appreciate everyone's patience as we work towards ensuring iWantClips is fully compliant with the new Mastercard compliance standards.

In regards to submitting verified photo IDs, please know there will be a slight delay from when the new Artist Agreement is submitted with a photo ID to when it is updated within the appropriate iWantClips store. This delay is due to all photo IDs needing to be manually verified in accordance with Mastercard guidelines. We can confirm that all stores that have successfully submitted their photo IDs up until this point have now been verified. If your store is still showing that your ID needs to be submitted, please contact our Support Team at [email protected] so we can look further into your specific situation.

Regarding content currently in the "In Review" status, we absolutely understand the frustrations caused by this and would like to confirm that our Teams are working diligently to ensure content is restored as swiftly as possible once it has been found to meet the Mastercard compliance standards. Any content that is found to contain a Terms of Service violation will be sent back to the Artist for revision. If the content is still in violation after the revision or cannot be revised to remove the TOS violation, then it will be removed.

Since the first site sweep of violating content is on such a large scale, the process has taken a bit longer than anticipated. However, please know that new content uploaded to the site is being reviewed in parallel to the existing content to minimize the wait time for this new content to post. We anticipate this review time for new content to keep getting faster into the future once we have completed the review of existing content.

Again, we greatly appreciate the patience and understanding of the community as we work towards ensuring iWantClips is fully compliant with the new Mastercard compliance standards.

If anyone has any questions at all, please feel free to contact [email protected] and we'll be more than happy to address them.

Usually I love this site, although I don't sell much it's a nice interface and simple to use. But I've done everything I've been asked to but now my stores are all closed which must look awful to any potential customers. What does it say about me that my store isn't accessible? Like I don't care? Like I got into trouble?

I understand the rules and am happy to follow them. But removing so much content my store is closed is disgusting and completely unnecessary. At least keep stores open with some kind of note for customers to say what's going on and we will be back soon. Anything's better than closing them because it makes us look at best unprofessional, and at worst, a joke.

Hi fetishqueen,

Thank you for your additional response and we do truly apologize for your frustrations caused by this compliance process.

To address your concerns, all customers have been notified of the new Mastercard compliance regulations and why content items are temporarily missing from the site. They are aware that it is not the Artists hiding content from their stores, but rather our AI system reviewing the items to ensure they are fully compliant before allowing them to be visible once again.

Again, we deeply apologize for these inconveniences and have recently sent out an additional emailed update to all Artists regarding this compliance process, including details surrounding the AI system reviewing content.

We greatly appreciate your understanding and thank you again.

100% this. Why can't they just be honest?

I agree. It's probably legalities though.

What would have been so bad about - "because of new MC rules we have to manually verify content so to limit our workload we are removing clips that havent sold in X amount of time"? This is what they have to do to keep the site running. Why be so roundabout and try to make it sound better than it is? The site could have been literally empty. Just be clear. Payment processors are fucking you over and making your life hell - tell us that. Because it applies to us. What site owner would want their own models against them? They probably are afraid to trash talk the payment processors

I'm sure they are doing everything they can to keep the site afloat. Obviously they are losing BIG money because we can see it from our own earnings being low

Ahh, well that makes sense now, but I'm STILL not happy about it.

I don't do tons of content, so I have NOTHING NEW to upload & I'm furious they are removing my content.

Some have sold, & the rest didn't b/c I'm sure no one even saw my store.

Anyway, I mentioned this above & how they FAILED to tell me (not sure about you guys) that to promote the store you need to create a banner & give it to them SMH.

Thanks
