They have to spend I think $10 for you to get credited for a referral.
That's now what it says on the site? It just says to give them $10 via the link and get a free drink. Doesn't say anything about them spending anything first, and it doesn't say men or women- just friends, lol.

Kortney, I was having the same issue, and I emailed support about it and it was fixed - though I had to remember specific users that had spent what's actually $15, apparently, beyond the free credit.
Interesting. I think they need to be a lot more specific with it. I just had over 30 people sign up and they're not men but women so I doubt they're going to use their actual $10 credit, lol. Oh well.
Tell A Friend!
Give your friends $10.00 to try Phrendly and get 1 free drink.

Yeah, it is rather misleading. I'm not sure why they wouldn't include that detail about the $15.

The program started as a way for guys to tell their friend to come try Phrendly, not really intended as an affiliate program, so I think that might be why they didn't throw in the line about the threshold. It would be awkward. Since the TAF links are available to both male and female profiles, it's probably best to leave that line out.
But, now ya know lol. They gotta become spenders or else Phrendly would be throwing money at us for no reason.

You'll get credit for either spenders (typically guys) or earners (typically women), as long as they spend or earn $15. Here are the deets:

Anyone else having problems with call availability? I've missed out on $$$ because it apparently keeps showing up as unavailable, despite me triple checking that I have it set to available for both phone and video calls.

This site has been dead for me. Not even starring or changing my GIF has been helping. They need to revamp the site and keep making changes, there are a lot of problems and I feel like Phrendly ignores their problems like SM ignores their problems.

That's nice, would be even nicer if it said that under TELL A FRIEND! under the link. That being said, I have had a slew of friends sign up and earn money instantly, yet I haven't received anything and quite a few of them already have made payout. :/ Matter of fact, after using your link the site reverts to the regular site with no affiliate codes in the address bar (I'll post print screens, soon) so you're bouncing sign ups.

I've gotten about 15 messages from new guys today, so something is definitely up. I wonder if they started their Facebook advertising campaign because I opted in to that. Or if my rank went up for whatever reason.
HOWEVER, a lot of these messages have been "covered by the bartender" which isn't great. I'm happy to be getting new messages and more attention, but it only helps my bottom line if they stick around long enough to become regulars.
I'm going to stay positive and hope that this is the beginning of a significant upswing!

Oh did it? Breaking news: Phrendly, an app, holds down a user, pick through his wallet, and forces him to pay for more drinks.
No no hun, I am pretty sure you did that of your own volition.

I HATE it when they bitch about paying, or they act baffled by the fact that they were charged. I really don't understand their mentality. Do they not read the fine print before joining? Do they really hand out their credit card that mindlessly and not question why a payment method is required?

If I'm not mistaken, which, I often am! I don't think you have to add a credit card to sign up, until you want to add drinks, which, still, means that they willingly put in their CC number, clicked on how many drinks they wanted to add, and hit "accept."
Either way, it's not an automatic process. You don't just add your card, chat about for 10 drinks and then see that you were charged $100.

I haven't been getting credit for some of my messages. I think I'm going to call it a day and close my account. I have experienced way to many problems on here and the customers are some of the rudest people that I have ever encountered. I also never received credit for a referral link that a friend used back in July. Money is too inconsistent and my profile got majorly screwed over after I changed my gif, costing me more money.
So thanks Phrendly, I really appreciate it lol

Yeah, I think you're right about that because they don't require female users to add a credit card. But really, it's just the stupidity and entitlement that gets to me. The worst is when they want your real phone number or your Snapchat, and they ask for it as if you're actually going to give it to them. For what? Really? What value is talking to an 18-yr-old kid who lives in fucking Mississippi for FREE going to add to my life?

One of my phrends lived in an area affected by Irma and he was like well see you in a week! He was an every day talker and good gifter (was not a cheapskate who would just up and leave, I'm saying), and he never came back and I'm pretty sad. I'm hoping he just realized he could live without me or needed that money for repairs (not that I wish misfortune on him). Idk. I hope he comes back one day to at least say hey I'm not dead lol okay bye. :/

He probably reassessed his priorities, especially if he had any property damage and he's going to need to spend his money dealing with that. It's pretty rare to actually die from a hurricane, coming from someone who just went through Irma and refused to evacuate :D

Same here, which is why I'm still not thrilled with the app. Whatever they're doing IS bringing in more traffic, but the retention rate is extremely low.
I woke up to a text that read, "You're gorgeous so can I have your number?" I felt like responding, "I'm gorgeous, so that's why you must pay to talk to me."

I believe taking your GIF is a requirement to go live, and even if it wasn't, it would be extremely unwise for a female expecting to get paid to move forward without a GIF. The huge appeal of the site for male clientele is that you're unlikely to be catfished or talking to someone who looks nothing like their photos because they're taken on the spot.

I understand how you feel. I make enough money between my various pursuits and sometimes I think the frustration of dealing with the app as it has been lately is costing me more stress than it's worth. That being said, I'm going to persist and keep on. You never know when it will pick up or when you'll get lucky and come across "that guy".

Quick rant -
I'm lowkey pissed right now. It's just beyond me as to why phrendly would recruit sex workers, to fulfill the demands of the 90+% of their userbase who want nudes etc., and then refuse to approve gifs with the slightest hint of cleavage. Like ??? Come on. Of the hundreds and hundreds of guys I've talked to, MAYBE a dozen were actually looking to date and shit. The rest? Allll sexual stuff. Yet we can't have anything even remotely suggestive in a gif? Beyond me.
Edit - the horrifyingly sexually explicit gif that I screengrabbed pre-unapproval because I just knew it'd get smacked down for the 3/4 inch of cleavage: https://gyazo.com/80a98f9f27e8dd3b5f53dfa16ee77b27
What a nice photo!! If you look through the site there are literally a hundred or more people (some of them new) who are showing way way more than you are in that photo.
Some are in bed, some are in bathing suits, some are in bikinis. Some look almost naked on top. And some are over 40GGG that are doing this too. If I showed you, you would really be pissed!!! :-))

I have a hint of cleavage in my pic and I have 32DD's, so my boobs are definitely a focal point. I'm going to retake my GIF tomorrow and I'm nervous about this. I'm going to be getting a blowout, applying self tanner, using my studio lights, using expensive makeup, etc. If I waste my effort/money and they deny my new GIF I'm going to be INFURIATED. I wish there was a clear, laid out guideline of what's acceptable and what's not. It would save a lot of people frustration, because right now there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to why some GIFs are approved and other perfectly innocent pics are denied.
Phrendly is by far the best texting app, but they have a lot of kinks they need to iron out.

Also, what amuses me is that they reach out to a site consisting of SEX WORKERS asking us to use their app, and mild cleavage is a huge no-no. I understand, they want the girls to appear very girl-next-dooor and they want to hide what the site really is. I understand their business model, but c'mon, we all know what this app is about...

Oh, I have definitely seen those, and that's part of what pisses me off so much! It's like.. why are theirs okay, and not mine? Why is my current one, in which I'm pushing my tits out with my hands, okay, but not that? There's no rhyme nor reason, and it's such a pain because I loved that gif and I don't often wear makeup, so I may have to go way out of my way and risk messing with my skin just to (maybe!) update my gif. So annoying.

Jamma, if you happen to be reading this can you tell us why things have picked up so dramatically? I usually have several new guys messaging me everyday, but the past few days I've had 30-40 new guys messaging me each day. I'm amazed that some of you are getting so many new messages a day. I'm consistently on the 2nd to 5th page, go through starring everyone multiple times a day, have pretty good pics, and respond usually within 10 minutes to every message. And yet I get maybe three guys messaging me a day, and one or two stars every other day. It's also weird because I don't often get a chance to keep talking to them through their free trial or whatever because they send one message to me and never respond again. Has "Hey! How are you today/tonight?" gone out of style?
