I use verysoft. Manycams takes 20% of your cpu just opening it. However it has a built in rtmp server so you can use it as the encoder for Streamate (manycams)
What laptop do you have so I can get hubbie to look up what it can do for you.
But I think your friend is your best option.
From what you say it will mutually benefit each other.

Speaking of Airbnb, they've got a work-from-home ("remote") 'Air Ambassador' position, if any of y'all wanna check it out and apply:

I love how the intelligent ladies of this forum always come together to share their ideas with the OPs. :) Awesome.

I technically did this last summer.
Long story short my husband and I tried to move from connecticut to california, and we stupidly went on the road without a place to stay when we got to cali. We were going to cam from hotel WIFI and use our proof of income to get a place when we got there.
It did not work, it will not work, the speeds aren't high enough even in hotels where you PAY for the faster speeds. I can't imagine doing that ever again.
I also can't imagine how the fuck you think you can cam homeless. Public shows all the time, the worst type of public wifi you can find, and lugging a laptop and webcam around while sleeping on the street ?
Girl, get a grip.
Find somewhere solid and go from there, anything other than being homeless. You cannot make it work. Trust me.

I have cammed with my phone before. I had moved into a new place and Centrylink Fiber Optic package I bought was supposed to be 25 upload speed. I move in, I barely get 1 up. Their response? "Well it is UP to 25 mbps, we don't guarantee it" I broke that lease and moved to a vacation rental several states away.
In the mean time, I used my unlimited data plan (Sprint at the time, now I have metro PCS for $60 unlimited data, Boost should be in line with that as well).
There is an android (not sure about iPhone) app called FoxFi. I paid $6.99 for a lifetime pass. You install it on your phone and then on your laptop you go to Junefabrics.com and install onto your computer.
Turn on your phone FoxFi app, click your FoxFi icon on laptop, bada bing bada boom. I was able to stream SM for two months and then I had enough cash to get out of town. Granted, my placement was craptastic, but my regs dealt with it.
OP, you said it took you 2 hours to get dolled up? You gotta get that down quicker, you are losing money. I went from 1 hour lolly gaging to now 15 min. Taking so long to get ready made me never want to do it and I never got on cam. if you know your time is limited, be efficient with it.
Also, I had to get the USB adapter for my Ethernet port (I yanked mine out doing a show :/ ) It was uber cheap and no difference in upload speed.

Usb will run at least 12mbps. So it is a cap but its way more than enough. You only need to find 2mbps upload. Messing about in the manycams. If you use that as the encoder the default is 1000kbps upload for 720p. It does work on Streamate however it was a bit choppy during the test. You can also get mobile broadband routers which should make it a bit more stable. I dont know what 4g is like over the pond but in the UK its about 20mbps pending area

I'm REALLY sorry for the situation you're in. I'd go as private as possible, meaning renting a room or in law suite from an elderly person who doesn't use internet, meaning you'd be the only one using it=no uncomfortable, nosy questions about why you're slowing down the whole connection *SO BADLY*. The upload speed-what you use to can-really takes a hit when you're broadcasting. To make the most of your coveted hours until you try some of our suggestions, tape your private shows and post them on every clip site possible in the meantime. So, moving on, go for a person who's older, doesn't use the internet much (or at all) or doesn't leave there, like someone who travels a lot for work. Ideally, a few days a week. They're out there, you just have to look persistently. Best of luck.

Thanks Julia :) I am camming mostly when they go to their rooms for the night or when they aren't home from work yet usually which is much better timing for me since I sleep in late most days. I'm signing up for pSO also so that I can make more use of my time when they are either in the main area close to me or they have people over. I figure I can take calls in my car or in the bathroom with the noisy fan going so they can't hear me. I have a feeling they are starting to know what I do but I honestly don't care anymore LoL. I seriously didn't choose this spot bc it was so cheap, I chose it based on I honestly thought they'd be gone most of the time. Yes, I'm gonna look for an elderly person or ideally someone who isn't home much next time def lol.

Also yes I'm also looking into making clips for sites :) It's a bit overwhelming doing it all at once with nothing but this site as a helper but I'm learning pretty fast.

I 100% agree. I did this last year After going through a really bad break up and having to find a place. rented a small place from an older lady who thought I was a barista for $400 a month and then moved into a larger place within a month. just find somewhere with decent internet, work 6hrs a day for a few weeks, and you'll be golden. I wouldn't recommend doing so completely homeless. starbucks sucks for uploading clips :p

I wouldn't mind it so much if I just had MORE privacy :( I had my shit together 10 yrs ago & up until 2012. I miss having my own studio or private space & not having to feel like I have to smile or speak to anyone when I'm coming or going. We rarely speak to each other, they're all friends so i'm def the odd man out. In this area I'm in currently, it's a small college town with amazing weather but shitty living situations for most people I know. I'd totally do the motel thing but fuck spending everything I make in a day on a place to sleep. I'm paying $400 now for where I'm at which is dirt cheap for this area, however hence the curtained off living room part blah :( (thankfully it's not a see thru curtain)

Don't mean to be Negative Nancy on this, but I just lived through, not one, but THREE bad room rentals from older people.
It is true, that they don't use the internet, but unless you get it in stone that they're not home very much, it's usually not the case.
All 3 of my roommates NEVER left the house! REPEAT- NEVER!!! Only for a few minutes to get food.
ALL except for one were NOSY AS FUCK!!!!
Telling me what to wear, following me to the kitchen, to the pool..telling me I have to put on a bra, that I have dark circles under my eyes when I wake up! That i should pencil in my eyebrows more, on, and on.
Ruling over the kitchen, and laundry room, like a hen, constantly finding thing to complain about.
Banging on my bedroom door randomly, because they're bored, and I'm home.
Sitting in front of the TV from early morning till night, blasting it, even though I say that it disturbs me.
Oh, shit! I could go on and on.
NEVER again!

Yup I got this and Metropcs. Helps out a lot. The app you mentioned is both android and ios. Its called PdaNet + Foxfi . I just made a video on Mobile Apps For Cammodels. It could use some likes. Check it out please

Here in the states finding a hotspot program that doesn't cost an arm and a leg is kinda difficult. And they mostly want you to sign contracts.

OMG, what in the actual fuck?!? Are you serious?! Telling you what to wear & following you around?! NOPE , I would've ended up getting kicked out bc I REFUSE to let someone dictate what I'm wearing or doing in the kitchen. Ugh that just disgusts me. That reminds me of when I lived with my bf's parent's a few yrs ago. Could't go downstairs or into the kitchen without being told how to cook or ask where I'm going or what am I doing. Ya I lived there rent free but still people deserve their fuckin privacy ugh. The older lady that I did work exchange for rent when I first moved here was kinda like that , she wasn't home as much as these people I'm living with now, but she was still a bitch to me after she realized I couldn't afford to pay her extorted rent price. It was funny bc the traveling nurse lady before me was only paying $50 less than me but yet she wanted to charge me more. She ended up being verbally abusive to me when I'd work for her , so I started just slacking off.
Around here the elderly people would most likely be the same as what you described Glam, bc people here in general are nosy as fuck & I hate that shit.

One thing I don't think I've seen mentioned here yet is renting office space-there are places in my area where you can temporarily rent out an office for like $175/month and you get 24 hour access, internet & a smallish space-bigger than a cubicle, smaller than a board room and there are some places that allow short-term (like month--to -month) contracts specifically for small business owners. If you usually cam at night and/or just want to avoid most other tenants, you can give them some b.s. about being an ESL tutor with clients on the other side of the world (i.e., 12-14 hours ahead of the U.S.).
I've heard of people using this as a temporary solution to homelessness and a private place to run their business when they didn't have space at home. Also some people use storage units for similar purposes, but an office space will already have the phone, internet, electricity, access to a restroom, etc. With all the other suggestions in this thread, I know you'll be fine. :) Even if you do end up homeless, it won't last forever. I've been there several times myself. It gets better hun.

It depends (cost-wise) where one is located, here in Chicago's burbs I'm not sure it would be that reasonable, maybe I'm wrong..
Also, what do you tell the landlord (or whoever you rent from) what you do?

^ Ya I agree with Whirlerz on this, bc in this area i'm in almost ALL the CL ads say * not a living space* even tho they look like you totally could swing it if you were careful enough. I tried the office thing last year when I was in between spots & the lady said I could have 24 hr access & I could do whatever I wanted in there. A week later she unlocked my door using her own set of keys, I was sleeping & I jumped up quickly saying umm just a minute. She shuts it & I go see what she wanted & she gave me this nasty glare & said I wanted to make sure you weren't sleeping in there. I then asked for a refund on the money I'd given her bc I knew she'd already caught onto me using it as a living space. Sucked but i ended up in a dingy motel afterwards fighting uphill costs while dancing at a shitty club SO this isn't AS bad I can honestly say. Camming makes me happier than dancing ever did & I always lie 7 say I'm a customer service rep if they ask.
