NYC requires background checks, takes a day to process. They have strict rules where you have to commit to a schedule and pay ridiculous fees of 175+ for tip out. On most slow nights, you wont leave with more than $200.00 because customers in NYC are cheap...
NOW on the contrast if you become an official girl..... AKA get hooked up/$$$ with the bouncers that have been helping girls pimp themselves out to a higher end clientele for OVER 2 decades-then you will leave with thousands. It just depends on your motivation, hustle, attitude and wether you are an extras girl or not.
If you are a clean dancer, NYC clubs are not for that and would leave a hole in your purse.
Flashdancers is one of the very few clubs where you can dance clean and leave with $, but you have to remember the house fee is so high,
it won't be worth staying there for very long. It will eat into your expenses and most of your earnings.

Other cities to avoid:
Houston (ghetto crowds, dirty clubs & too many sting operations)
Miami (hard to compete with $50 BJS, thousands of attractive escorts, & some clubs refuse to hire out of state girls today)
Dallas (licensing costs 100$ upfront cash not for everybody but heard its good $)
LA (thousands of girls from all over the world competing to get a job, if you do get hired management takes advantage of you, and pockets your fees, $10 lap dances)
NYC is the worst. They treat you like a second-class citizen and extort high fees from dancers. Not worth it
at all unless you do extras.
New Orleans- ghetto, cheap crowds and in very unsafe area to & from work/best avoided.
ATL- 350$ for a license to dance? Uh no thanks. Could be worth it but highly unnecessary.

I second this. Currently work in NYC. The only clubs where you can hope to make over 200-300 are brothels, like Jr's. Granted, 200-300 can get you far if you know how to budget. But if I wasn't trying to pursue part of my education here, I would honestly pack up and head out towards west. Not to mention you meet some of THE most despicable and deplorable human beings. Some of them I find vile enough to have been Nazi's or Hitler's allies in another lifetime (OK exaggerating slightly), but this city can easily drive one insane if they can't adapt to the environment. I plan to leave as soon as some of my main goals are accomplished.

But don't come here, unless you are fortunate to get into one of the decent clubs.

By the way those who want to to check out NYC. House can be a a lot only if you are a late worker. If you get in on time at most you are paying is just (70) tip out. This forum is pretty decent to have but please place your own judgement by actually exploring these places everyone has bad experiences doesn't technically mean you will.

It is rough but you can make 500+ daily, if you keep a following. Nj is a little bit easier.

Idk what you people are saying about NYC. I worked there all year (sapphire) and did great. I guess some girls do extras, but I don't ever hear about it. Plus they've been cracking down on drugs and stuff so it's been way cleaner than it's ever been. I've also worked in LA and Philly, as well as Vivid in NYC and I honestly think Sapphire is the best honest money. You have to be pushy about dances and VIP since private rooms are the most lucrative. And you have to be able to make conversation that's engaging, if you wanna hustle a table. But as long as you get in at a reasonable hour and work consistently and strategically, there's no excuse for not clearing $500 after fees ever (well, unless it's Sunday).

These had me rolling on the floor laughing!!!! Sorry, but it's just girls in the Midwest are trying to get out of dodge. They want to go to Cali and Miami and make it big! I try...I try...okay I don't try cause I know I'm just an old stripper to them, but I'm like, "girls the grass ain't greener on the other side. Stack your paper, go to school, and invest. In my opinion big cities are riddled with extras. Small clubs suck, but there's more accountability we all know who is doing extras and who is just a dancer.. Yes it sucks because most of the guys don't have a lot money- not a lot ceos, lawyers, and business guys, but I'd rather travel in small towns where I'm the fresh new face than travel to cities and compete with extras, that being said money isn't everything to me- I don't make a lot of money, but I pay my bills, and have a nice, boring (peaceful) life. Different strokes for different folks.

Kansas City, Mo sucks big time! Smaller clubs on the Kansas side can be okay, but it's not worth traveling for unless you have family or friends or a job already.

Anywhere in Wisconsin! The whole state sucks for dancing! 200 dollars is a good night in most clubs, and many clubs require you to work a schedule, go on stage a lot and work anywhere from 8-12 hour shifts. A lot of clubs have no cover charge or a very low cover charge and the customers here are very cheap overall.

Literally any smaller or Eastern European country.... I work in one of the biggest clubs in the whole country but it's still small, customers are rude because stripping is taboo, the club is frequently completely empty on weeknights - I only go on weekends anymore because of that, but then it's 8 girls in a club the size of a three-bedroom flat hunting for 20 customers on a good night. This is only one club for sure but I've done some research and considering it's full of girls from even smaller or "more eastern" countries because the money is better here I find it pretty easy to believe it's the same or worse everywhere. Northern Italy, Germany, Spain etc big countries with big cities are probably better but I have no experience with those (yet!). Lots of cons but still make $800 on a good weekend so sticking around.

Pros: no house fees, cities pretty safe. Might be fun tourism but I and every other younger girl I've met there wants to get out and abroad ASAP.
Cons: small ass clubs, poor clientele, lap dances have a lot of contact, club takes 55% of all lap dances and drinks you sell, $20 for a 15-minute stage set for a full club is "good"

Cities I have no desire to dance in......
1. Detroit. You have to pay a license fee to compete with hardcore extras in 99 percent of the clubs? No thank you.
2. Atlanta. The license fees are way too high and from what I've seen through extensive research I would probably have trouble finding a club that is a good fit for me.

Cities I've gone to and have to desire to go back to......
1. NYC. I LOVE LOVE LOVE New York City, but I'm not the look the Manhattan clubs want and most of the other clubs I've gone to have way too strict of scheduling and didn't want to work with me at all. If more clubs that would hire me had open scheduling I'd go back but otherwise, no thanks.
2. Orlando Florida. Weird stages, weird laws, hard to make money.
3. Boise Idaho. See above, plus all the clubs besides Spearmint Rhino rob you blind and demand a portion of your tips. Um, how about FUCK YOU.
4. Miami. Too picky. Too dirty.

I'm sure there's more but I'll leave it at that for now.

OMG IDAHO worst state I've ever danced in hands down!!!!! I was there with hubs visiting my MIL (took care of her after surgery so we were there 3 months) and I ended up driving to fucking Oregon to avoid stripping in Idaho

Detroit. I would never go to Detroit period but esp not to dance. Heard really bad things
D.C. Last I heard you couldn't hustle dances?

Yes D.C. is straight stage dancing ONLY. There are clubs like The House and I think MPire offers an upstairs room where you can sell lap dances but those don't come too often. The most you can do if dance in front of a guy and hope he tips you. SMH. DON'T DO D.C. IT'S A TRAP! STADIUM IS SOOOOOOO OVERRATED!!! LOL only nights you really make money is when a good celebrity like Cardi B comes into town. Other than that, expect to make a few hundred a night!

LA is literally the most inconsistent place to dance in if you're trying to make a consistent living (not going to happen). I haven't danced here in years because I refuse to accept 150-200 being a good night.

Why do they have so many clubs, anyway?

LA is a huge market. Though it doesn't reflect what shape their economy is in until you see the actual spending of the consumers.

I see LA as a dirty city. Is it like Manhattan where many men like to compete with their money while being in a gentlemen club? Men actually brag in groups about how much money they spend. And it's openly normal to have a significant other and other women they financially support; that's bragging rights.

LA men that have the discretionary income or spending money may be more likely to get an escort, struggling entertainer (not stripper.) or already have mistresses to entertain them. Urban clubs may be more popular because there's a lot of celebrities and rich people in LA that participate in hip hop culture, right? And that culture encourages stunting and throwing dollar bills around. You would have to be some really bad bitch to get those/their dollar bills thrown though.

I'm sure LA is a dirty city.

But you have to understand, LA is in California which taxes are pretty high taxes compared to red states'. Combine that with inclining rent, stagnating income and added expenses like auto insurance. In LA, you definitely need a car and auto insurance quotes in LA is above-average than those of low population areas. All this leads to many people leaving the city and the state of California, many of whom are the middle-class or earned "middle-class income." While the majority are the Hispanics, mainly composing Mexicans, Guatemalans and Salvadorans, which the foreign-borns don't find strip club appealing for couple known reasons and same goes with U.S. born as they tend to have a lot of responsibilities rather young. It's an short-to-nonexistent shelf life of consumer demographics for that strip club market leads us to inconsistency of making money in LA as the girl above us wrote.

Ah, LA has more beautiful p4p girls than damn near anywhere. This is why you can’t do great dancing there IMO. Look at Miami, similar situation. Hard to make money in the club because there are beautiful Guess models working there who are just trying to connect with a trick and not intending to lap dance at all.
